Best condensing boiler

Updated: October 2026

You have opened a search for the best condensing boiler and found league tables that name Worcester Bosch, Alpha, Vaillant and Viessmann. Those articles are not a result for this set. This page sorts twelve amazon.co.uk listings saved on 20 October 2026 and says who a documented row can serve, and who should skip it. Eleven cards have no star rating. The only score is 5.0 from two reviews with no written text, so no row is a test winner. The full table is the [condensing boiler comparison](/hub/hot-water/condensing-boiler). We did not laboratory-test any boiler. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Why this set cannot name a test winner

UK pages that promise the best condensing boiler usually rank trade ranges by flow, warranty years and a survey score. Those round-ups do not include these twelve listings, and a ten-year warranty does not transfer onto a card that never prints one. The only review record here is the Beretta Exclusive 25C, about £1,226.99: 5.0 from two ratings and no review text. Treat that as a gap, not a verdict. The Energy Saving Trust separates layout from brand: a combi for smaller hot-water use, and system or heat-only when you need stored water. A shortlist is not an install. Use the condensing boiler buying guide for fuel wording, the missing flue and the paperwork before you order.

Rows with a job you can see on the card

Three listings earn a mention because a specific line is printed. None of them is the best condensing boiler in Britain. The Sime Vera HE 30, about £980.61, is the only card with a hot-water flow: 13.5 litres per minute, beside 30 kW, 85 °C and 3 bar. The title says methane/LPG, which is unfinished beside a listing that names UK mains gas in plain words. If two taps matter, that figure is not proof both will run. The layout sits on the combi or system boiler page. The Beretta Mynute X 25 C, about £1,208.84 and 20 kg, says combined and prints no flow. The Vaillant ecoCOMPACT, about £5,437.54, is the 140 kg floor unit and the only energy class A. The model string includes 150 without the word litres. It is the wrong shape for a wall boiler in a flat.

Rows to skip for a normal flat

A one-bathroom flat needs a wall-hung boiler with the fuel confirmed and, where the card has it, a flow. The Wolf CGB-2 20, about £2,558.25, refers to a heating circuit. The Victrix Pro, about £2,858.53, says heating only and prints both 55 kW and 50 kW. Do not fold those into one figure. Neither card is a wall combi. A heat-only replacement is the exception, only after the engineer has seen the header tanks, the flue and the condensate pipe. Indoor or outdoor wording on a bullet is not UK siting approval.

Price without a fitted total

Saved appliance prices on 20 October 2026 fall into three bands, and none is a fitted cost. Do not treat the cheapest card as best value. The entry band, about £950 to £1,230, holds the Exa 24 at £951.54, the Sime at £980.61, the Baxi Victoria at £1,204.50, the Mynute at £1,208.84 and the Exclusive at £1,226.99. The Exa weight cell prints 40.4 g. A boiler does not weigh 40 grams. The upper band, about £2,560 to £5,440, is the Wolf, the Victrix Pro and the ecoCOMPACT.

Fazit: match the printed line

If you need the only hot-water flow in this set, take the Sime Vera HE 30 to the engineer with the methane/LPG line beside it. If you need the word combined on an entry-band card, that is the Mynute, and it still has no flow. If you need energy class A on the card, that is the Vaillant floor unit, not a wall combi. Skip the Wolf and the Victrix Pro for a normal one-bathroom flat. Two stars on the Exclusive do not outrank a printed line.

Common questions

Which condensing boiler in this set is the best?
None of these twelve listings is the best condensing boiler in the UK. Sort by the printed line: the Sime Vera HE 30 for the only hot-water flow, the Mynute X 25 C when the title says combined, and the Vaillant ecoCOMPACT for energy class A on a floor unit. A Gas Safe registered engineer still sizes whatever remains.
Can 5.0 from two reviews decide it?
No. The Beretta Exclusive 25C is the only card with stars: 5.0 from two reviews, and neither review has text. Two ratings cannot show noise, reliability or whether a flue was in the box. Eleven other cards have no stars at all.
Which row is the only one with a printed hot-water flow?
The Sime Vera HE 30 is the only listing that prints a hot-water flow, 13.5 litres per minute, with 30 kW, at about £980.61. The Mynute says combined and prints no flow. The Baxi Victoria also prints no flow. Do not fill those gaps from another brand’s table.
Which rows are the wrong shape for a one-bathroom flat?
Skip the Wolf CGB-2 20 and the Victrix Pro for a wall-hung one-bathroom boiler. The Wolf title refers to a heating circuit. The Victrix Pro says heating only and prints 55 kW and 50 kW as separate figures. Skip the Vaillant ecoCOMPACT if you needed a wall boiler: it is a 140 kg floor unit.
Does energy class A apply to every condensing boiler here?
No. Energy class A is printed only on the Vaillant ecoCOMPACT card. The other eleven listings do not print that class. Do not assume they are A-rated because they are described as condensing. The listing simply does not say. The Vaillant is a floor unit at about £5,437.54, not a wall combi.
Is the cheapest card the best value?
No. The Exa 24 is the lowest appliance price, about £951.54 on 20 October 2026, and its weight cell prints 40.4 g. That weight cannot belong to a boiler, so the cheap line is a broken specification. Best value here is a usable card, not the lowest figure.
What would a shortlist still have to ask the engineer?
Ask a Gas Safe registered engineer to confirm the gas family, the heat loss, the flue and the condensate drain. Methane or CNG on these cards is not a UK mains-gas approval by itself. A maker’s kilowatt bands are that maker’s rule of thumb, not your heat-loss calculation. The shelf price does not include labour.
