A Wera torque wrench is a Torque tool. You lock a newton-metre value and the wrench clicks when that value is reached. They cover 2.5–25 Nm, 10–50 Nm, 20–100 Nm, 40–200 Nm and 60–300 Nm, on 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch drives. Range, drive and whether the scale measures anti-clockwise choose the wrench. It is not a scale that measures both ways. Match the figure, the drive and the direction in the [Wera torque wrench buying guide](/hub/hand-tools/wera-torque-wrench/sub/wera-torque-wrench-buying-guide) before you use the table. Pulling past the click is how fasteners get overtightened. Where the listing prints a tolerance, Wera states ±4% of the set value on the A 5 and A 6 and ±3% on the B and C models that say so, under EN ISO 6789-1:2017-07. Stars on these eleven listings run from 4.4 to 4.9. The star line does not prove the percentage.

The best Wera torque wrenches in detail

Wera Click-Torque C 2 Push

Rank 1

Wera Click-Torque C 2 Push

∼£190

Our view

The Click-Torque C 2 Push is the only wrench on this shelf whose listing states clockwise and anti-clockwise torque control, by reversing a captive square. It is 20–100 Nm, 1/2 inch, ±3%, with 45 teeth and socket locking, at £189.99. The listing shows 4.9 from 83 reviews, the highest star figure here and the smallest count. None of the 17 review texts in the extract is labelled United Kingdom. German, Spanish and US reviews praise the push-through square for left-hand fasteners and car jobs, and they call the click easy to hear. One German review calls the case plain and still recommends the tool. The warranty line on the listing is empty. It is the pick when the figure is inside 20–100 Nm and must be measured both ways, and it is the wrong spend for a clockwise wheel nut at 120 Nm.

Pros

  • The only listing here that states both directions
  • Non-UK reviews praise the push-through square
  • 20–100 Nm, ±3%, 45 teeth and a locking 1/2 inch square

Cons

  • No UK review text in the saved listing
  • Warranty line is missing
  • One German review calls the case plain

Best for: Fasteners between 20 Nm and 100 Nm that must be measured clockwise and anti-clockwise.

Less suitable: A clockwise-only wheel job above 100 Nm, a stem bolt under 20 Nm, or a buyer who wants UK review text.

Common questions

Does this one measure both ways?

Yes. The bullet says clockwise and anti-clockwise control by reversing the captive square.

20–100 Nm, ±3%, 1/2 inch, 45 teeth.

Are there UK reviews?

The file has 4.9 from 83 reviews and no review text labelled United Kingdom.

Wera Click-Torque C 3

Rank 2

Wera Click-Torque C 3

∼£169

Our view

The Click-Torque C 3 is the 1/2 inch wrench UK reviewers use to refit car wheels, and one owner reports hundreds of clicks with nothing coming loose. The listing price is £169.00, with 4.8 from 1,041 reviews. The title and the short bullet say 40–200 Nm. The included-components line on the same listing says 40–300 Nm. Wera’s own C 3 page states 40–200 Nm and ±3%, while the Amazon bullets leave the percentage out. A UK review also says not to undo tight nuts with it, and another calls the case adequate rather than a close fit. An Amazon length cell of 12.7 cm is not a credible length for this wrench. Treat the title window as the one you set, and step up to the C 4 only when the handbook figure is above 200 Nm.

Pros

  • UK use on car wheels, with a clear click
  • 4.8 from 1,041 reviews
  • 1/2 inch square for sockets inside the 40–200 Nm title

Cons

  • Title and included line disagree on the top of the range
  • No ± percentage in the bullets
  • Amazon length cell is 12.7 cm

Best for: Passenger-car wheel nuts whose handbook figure sits between 40 Nm and 200 Nm.

Less suitable: A figure under 40 Nm or over 200 Nm, or anyone treating the 40–300 Nm included line as the real top end.

Common questions

Which range should you trust on this listing?

The title says 40–200 Nm. The included-components line says 40–300 Nm. Set the title window.

Is a percentage printed in the bullets?

No. The Amazon bullets do not print a percentage. Wera’s C 3 page states ±3%.

What did a UK wheel user say?

One owner reports hundreds of clicks on car wheels, and says not to undo tight nuts with it.

Wera Click-Torque A 6 Set 1

Rank 3

Wera Click-Torque A 6 Set 1

∼£199

Our view

The Click-Torque A 6 Set 1 pairs the 2.5–25 Nm hex wrench with bits and a textile box, at £198.50 and 4.8 from 617 reviews. UK reviewers use the bits on carbon bikes and mountain-bike bolts inside 25 Nm, and one says the calibration data with the unit was better than the advertised ±4%. Two UK reviews say changing the setting is slow, and one mountain-bike review finds the click less clear at the low end. A further UK review puts a 45 Nm bottom bracket outside the set. The title says 20 pieces. The included line says 19 pieces plus the wrench. The set does not extend the range. It is worth the box if you need the bits, and it is an expensive way to buy a 25 Nm ceiling you already understand.

Pros

  • Bits and case used for bicycle work, including carbon
  • One UK review says the calibration sheet beat the advertised tolerance
  • Textile box and hex bits for jobs inside 2.5–25 Nm

Cons

  • Slow to change the setting
  • Click less clear at the low end for one rider
  • Title 20pc versus an included line of 19 pieces

Best for: Bicycle work on 1/4 inch hex bits inside 2.5–25 Nm when you want the bits and the case together.

Less suitable: A 45 Nm bottom bracket, wheel nuts, or a rider who already owns the hex bits.

Common questions

What is in the set?

An A 6, 1/4 inch hex, 2.5–25 Nm, plus bits, sockets, an adaptor, an extension and a textile box. The title says 20 pieces. The included line says 19 pieces plus the wrench.

Will it do a 45 Nm bottom bracket?

No. A UK review says that job sits above this 25 Nm set.

How is the setting described?

Pull out the end, then turn. Two UK reviews say changing the value is slow.

Wera Click-Torque C 1

Rank 4

Wera Click-Torque C 1

∼£170

Our view

The Click-Torque C 1 covers 10–50 Nm on a 1/2 inch square, with ±3% and 45 teeth on the bullets, at £169.99 and 4.8 from 355 reviews. One UK buyer used it on a brake banjo at 36 Nm and trusted the click, and compared the feel with a C 3 they already owned. Another UK review says the scale is easy to read and mentions a robust case that the included-components line does not list. A separate UK review says the wrench did not release once the set pressure was reached, from the first day. The Amazon length style says stubby beside a 360 mm cell, so do not plan a toolbox around that style word. It can hold a fastener inside 10–50 Nm. A typical car wheel figure of 95 Nm or 120 Nm does not fit.

Pros

  • UK brake job at 36 Nm; click trusted by that buyer
  • Scale called easy to read
  • 10–50 Nm, 1/2 inch, ±3% and 45 teeth on the bullets

Cons

  • One UK review: no release at the set pressure
  • Length style says Stubby beside a 360 mm cell

Best for: Clockwise 1/2 inch fasteners inside 10–50 Nm, such as a brake banjo around 36 Nm.

Less suitable: Car wheel nuts at 95 Nm or above, or a buyer who needs a unit that has already proved it releases.

Common questions

What is the C 1 for on this listing?

10–50 Nm on a 1/2 inch square. One UK review used it at 36 Nm on brake banjo bolts.

Did every UK review get a click?

Five praise it. One says it did not stop at the set pressure from day one.

What does the length cell say?

360 mm, while the wrench-length style cell says stubby. Do not plan a toolbox around that style word.

Wera Click-Torque C 2

Rank 5

Wera Click-Torque C 2

∼£170

Our view

The Click-Torque C 2 is a 1/2 inch wrench marked 20–100 Nm, with ±3% and 45 teeth printed on the amazon.co.uk bullets, at £169.95 and 4.8 from 284 reviews. Six of the sampled texts are labelled United Kingdom. They call the scale clear and the build solid, and one uses it on carbon-bicycle bolts. They do not describe a missed click or a snap. The handle line is for right-hand use. Both-direction measurement is not stated, so a reversible ratchet here is not the C 2 Push. A handbook wheel figure of 110 Nm or 120 Nm sits above this window. It is the 1/2 inch choice when the fastener is inside 20–100 Nm and the thread is clockwise.

Pros

  • Scale called clear and easy to set
  • One UK review uses it on a carbon bicycle
  • 20–100 Nm, 1/2 inch, with ±3% stated on the listing

Cons

  • Both-direction measurement is not stated
  • Only six UK reviews, and they do not describe a defect

Best for: Clockwise 1/2 inch fasteners between 20 Nm and 100 Nm, including some bicycle bolts in that band.

Less suitable: A wheel nut above 100 Nm, or any job that must be measured anti-clockwise.

Common questions

What range and drive does the C 2 list?

Does reversible mean both directions?

The listing says a reversible ratchet and right-hand use. It does not say anti-clockwise measurement.

How many UK reviews describe a fault?

Six UK texts. One title says it does not work, but that body calls it the best. No fault is described.

Wera Click-Torque B 1

Rank 6

Wera Click-Torque B 1

∼£178

Our view

The Click-Torque B 1 is the 3/8 inch wrench for 10–50 Nm, listed at £177.99 with 4.7 from 422 reviews. UK reviewers describe a clear click and a smooth adjuster, and they use it on road-bike bolts inside that window and on motorcycle servicing. One UK review expected 100 Nm from the listing and was disappointed, because the tool is 10–50 Nm. The Amazon bullets do not state a percentage, while Wera’s B 1 page states ±3% and 45 teeth. Another UK review says not to undo tight nuts with it. An Amazon length cell of 1 cm cannot be the wrench. Buy it when your sockets are 3/8 inch and the figure is inside 10–50 Nm, not because a sales image looked like 100 Nm.

Pros

  • Clear click and a smooth adjuster in UK reviews
  • Used for road-bike bolts inside 10–50 Nm
  • 3/8 inch square for motorcycle and bicycle work in that window

Cons

  • Accuracy not stated in the bullets
  • One buyer read the listing as 100 Nm
  • Amazon length cell is 1 cm

Best for: Road-bike and motorcycle fasteners inside 10–50 Nm when the socket is 3/8 inch.

Less suitable: A 1/2 inch wheel socket, a figure near 100 Nm, or anyone who needs the ±3% claim printed on the Amazon bullets.

Common questions

What range is on the B 1?

Is a percentage in the bullets?

No. Wera’s B 1 page states ±3%. The Amazon bullets do not.

What drive is it?

3/8 inch. The Amazon length cell says 1 cm, which cannot be the wrench.

Wera Click-Torque C 4

Rank 7

Wera Click-Torque C 4

∼£200

Our view

The Click-Torque C 4 is the 1/2 inch wrench for 60–300 Nm, with ±3% on the bullets, at £199.99 and 4.7 from 272 reviews. UK reviewers praise the large scale windows and the lock in the handle, and they buy it for high-torque and regular workshop use. One UK owner on six-day use says the lock picks up grease and needs frequent cleaning. Another says the box arrived without the original labels. The sampled UK texts do not describe a missed click or a snapped head. An Amazon length cell of 3.81 inches is not the tool’s length. It is the wrench when the handbook figure is above 200 Nm and still at or under 300 Nm. It cannot set a wheel nut below 60 Nm, and it cannot reach heavy-goods figures around 400 Nm.

Pros

  • Large scale windows and a locking adjuster praised
  • Used for high-torque work
  • 60–300 Nm, 1/2 inch, with ±3% stated on the listing

Cons

  • Lock vulnerable to grease in heavy use
  • Box arrived without original labels in one review
  • Amazon length cell is 3.81 inches

Best for: Handbook figures between 60 Nm and 300 Nm on a 1/2 inch socket, including wheel nuts above 200 Nm.

Less suitable: Any fastener below 60 Nm, an HGV nut around 400 Nm, or heavy daily use if you will not clean grease from the lock.

Wera Click-Torque A 5

Rank 8

Wera Click-Torque A 5

∼£145

Our view

The Click-Torque A 5 is the 1/4 inch square twin of the A 6, still 2.5–25 Nm and ±4%, and UK buyers use it on carbon bicycle parts and on small fasteners such as a 6 Nm bolt. The amazon.co.uk listing shows 4.6 from 1,692 reviews at £144.99, which is the largest review count on this shelf. One UK review says the reading matched the sheet supplied with the unit, and another says it arrived calibrated. The same extract includes two reports of a snapped head, one of them under 10 Nm, plus an adjuster that seized when wound back, a nicked head, play once a bit was fitted, and damage on arrival. Those are single reviews, not a majority, and they are still a reason to return a bad unit rather than pull harder. Amazon cells of about 20 cm and 11 g do not match Wera’s datasheet of about 290 mm and 551 g. It is the square-drive pick under 25 Nm, and it cannot finish a crank bolt or a wheel nut.

Pros

  • Clear click; one UK review matched the supplied sheet
  • Used for low-Nm bicycle and small-fastener work
  • 1/4 inch square drive, 2.5–25 Nm, ±4% on the bullet

Cons

  • Head snapped in two UK reviews
  • Adjuster stuck when wound back
  • Amazon length 20 cm and weight 11 g

Best for: Clockwise stems, clamps and other fasteners inside 2.5–25 Nm when you want 1/4 inch square sockets.

Less suitable: Wheel nuts, crank bolts above 25 Nm, or a buyer who will not accept the snapped-head reports in the UK sample.

No. The bullet says right-hand use.

What did UK buyers report going wrong?

A seized adjuster, a snapped head under 10 Nm, nicked metal, play in the drive, and damage on arrival, each in single reviews.

Wera Click-Torque A 6

Rank 9

Wera Click-Torque A 6

∼£133

Our view

The Click-Torque A 6 is a 1/4 inch hex wrench for 2.5–25 Nm, and the two United Kingdom reviews in this extract both use it on bicycles, setting a figure and leaving it there. At £133.20 it is the lowest price on this shelf, with 4.6 from 250 reviews and a stated tolerance of ±4% to ISO 6789-1. The reversible ratchet lets you undo a fastener. The listing does not say the scale measures anti-clockwise. German reviews in the same file, which are not UK buyers, describe a first click that failed to appear until the wrench was taken to 25 Nm, and a setting scale that arrived broken. An Amazon weight cell of 11 g cannot be this tool. It suits clockwise hex-bit work inside 25 Nm, and it is the wrong wrench for a wheel nut or a left-hand thread you have to measure.

Pros

  • 45-tooth reversible ratchet and a stated ±4%
  • UK reviews use it for bicycle servicing
  • Lowest price on this shelf, at £133.20

Cons

  • Only two UK reviews in the extract
  • Amazon weight cell is 11 g
  • German reviews in the file describe a missed first click and a broken scale

Best for: Clockwise bicycle bolts on 1/4 inch hex bits, inside 2.5–25 Nm, if you already own the bits.

Less suitable: Wheel nuts, any mark above 25 Nm, or a left-hand thread that must be measured.

Common questions

What range and drive does the A 6 list?

The bullets say 2.5–25 Nm and a 1/4 inch hex drive, with 45 teeth.

It says a handle for right-hand use. It does not say anti-clockwise measurement.

Wera Bicycle Set Torque 1

Rank 10

Wera Bicycle Set Torque 1

∼£194

Our view

The Bicycle Set Torque 1 is a 16-piece box built around a Click-Torque A 5, 2.5–25 Nm, 1/4 inch square, ±4% and clockwise, listed at £193.54 with 4.5 from 530 reviews. UK riders praise the sockets and bits for road bikes, an e-bike caliper and carbon frames, and a holder that keeps the bits in place. One UK buyer returned the set because the click was easy to miss and overtightening felt too likely on carbon. One UK mechanic said it arrived preset at 12 Nm, so the window needs checking before the first bolt. The lifetime line on the listing is a guarantee against a manufacturing fault, not a lifetime calibration. The bits do not raise the scale past 25 Nm. Buy the set when you need those bits. Buy the A 5 alone when you already own them.

Pros

  • Bit selection praised for road, e-bike and carbon work
  • Holder keeps the bits in place
  • 16-piece title around an A 5 at 2.5–25 Nm and ±4%

Cons

  • One return because the click was easy to miss
  • Arrived preset at 12 Nm in one UK review
  • The set does not add range above 25 Nm

Best for: A bicycle owner who wants the A 5 and the listed sockets and bits for marks inside 2.5–25 Nm.

Less suitable: Crank bolts or pedals above 25 Nm, wheel nuts, or anyone who already owns the bits.

Wera Click-Torque B 2

Rank 11

Wera Click-Torque B 2

∼£179

Our view

The Click-Torque B 2 is the 3/8 inch wrench for 20–100 Nm, with ±3% and 45 teeth in the bullets, at £178.50. It has the lowest star figure in this set, 4.4 from 359 reviews. UK buyers call the dial easy to read and the tool heavier and more solid than they expected. One says it is larger than expected, another says the handle picks up dirt that wipes clean, and one UK unit arrived damaged. The sampled UK texts do not repeat a missed click. Both-direction measurement is not stated. It is the 3/8 inch alternative to the C 2 when the socket is not 1/2 inch, and it is not a wheel-nut wrench for a 1/2 inch socket.

Pros

  • Easy-to-read dial in a UK review
  • ±3% and 45 teeth are in the bullets
  • 20–100 Nm on a 3/8 inch square

Cons

  • Lowest star score in this set, 4.4
  • One UK unit arrived damaged
  • Larger than one buyer expected

Best for: Clockwise fasteners between 20 Nm and 100 Nm on 3/8 inch sockets.

Less suitable: 1/2 inch wheel nuts, anti-clockwise measurement, or a buyer who wants the higher star sample of the C 2.

Common questions

How does the B 2 differ from the C 2?

Same 20–100 Nm and ±3% in the bullets. This one is 3/8 inch. The C 2 is 1/2 inch.

What did UK buyers dislike?

Larger than expected, a handle that marks and wipes clean, and one arrival that was damaged.

No. Right-hand use is stated.

How we compared

Eleven amazon.co.uk Click-Torque listings are on this page, taken from a wider Wera shelf in the same price file. Card scores follow the star conversion already stored with each listing (stars times 20). That is not a lab score. The top pick and the best value follow the awards already on those listings: both-direction measurement on the C 2 Push, and the lowest shelf price on the A 6. We did not borrow stars from another shop.

Choosing a Wera torque wrench

Match the newton-metre figure, the drive and the direction before you compare the star line. Prices below are the eleven amazon.co.uk shelf prices in this file, from £133.20 to £199.99. Other shops differ and do not replace those figures. We did not lab-test the tools, and a star rating does not prove the stated percentage.

What is a Wera torque wrench?

A Wera torque wrench in this set is a Click-Torque tool. You set a newton-metre value, the wrench clicks when that value is reached, and you stop. Pulling past the click is how fasteners get overtightened. Where the listing prints a tolerance, Wera states ±4% of the set value on the A 5 and A 6 and ±3% on the B and C models that say so, under DIN EN ISO 6789-1:2017-07. Stars on these eleven listings run from 4.4 to 4.9. The star line does not prove the percentage. The A series is 2.5–25 Nm.

Best for

  • A clockwise fastener whose newton-metre mark sits inside one printed window on this shelf
  • Anti-clockwise measurement inside 20–100 Nm, which is the C 2 Push on this page

Not ideal for

  • An HGV wheel nut around 400–650 Nm, which is above every wrench here
  • A buyer who reads reversible as a scale that measures both ways

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Reading reversible as both directions

A reversible ratchet lets you undo a fastener. It does not mean the scale measures anti-clockwise. Only the C 2 Push states both directions, and only from 20 Nm to 100 Nm.

  2. 2

Trusting a bad Amazon cell or the C 3 components line

Amazon cells of 11 g, 1 cm, 12.7 cm or 3.81 inches are not these tools. The A 5 datasheet is about 290 mm and 551 g. The C 3 title is 40–200 Nm. The 40–300 Nm components line is not the window you set.

  3. 3

Pulling after the click, or adding a tube

Stop at the first click. Wera’s manual says to hold the middle of the grip and forbids a tube. Setting pound-foot steps on an Nm-only fine scale is the same class of mistake.

What to weigh up

Range, drive and direction

High

The fastener’s newton-metre figure has to sit inside the printed range. The A series ends at 25 Nm, so a stem or a clamp can fit and a crank bolt marked 45 Nm cannot. The C 3 title is 40–200 Nm. The C 4 is 60–300 Nm. A figure under the bottom of the scale is as wrong as a figure over the top: the C 4 cannot set a wheel nut below 60 Nm, and the A series cannot finish a wheel nut. Drive is the next check. The A 5 and the bicycle set are 1/4 inch square. The A 6 and the A 6 set are 1/4 inch hex.

Stated accuracy and the click

High

Read the percentage on the listing, then stop at the click. The A 5 and the A 6 state ±4% under DIN EN ISO 6789-1:2017-07. The B 2, C 1, C 2, C 2 Push and C 4 state ±3% in the bullets used here. The B 1 bullets omit a percentage, even though Wera’s B 1 page states ±3%. The C 3 bullets also omit it, while Wera’s C 3 page states ±3% and 40–200 Nm. Do not copy a retailer line of ±2% onto the B 2. Wera’s UK page and the Amazon bullet say ±3%.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Car wheel nuts

You are refitting a passenger-car wheel and the handbook figure sits between 40 Nm and 200 Nm. The Click-Torque C 3 is the 1/2 inch wrench UK reviewers use for that job, at about £169.00, rated 4.8 from 1,041 reviews. Use the title window, not the 40–300 Nm components line. Step up to the C 4 only when the figure is above 200 Nm and still at or under 300 Nm.

Bicycle bolts under 25 Nm

Stems, clamps and rotor bolts inside 2.5–25 Nm need the A series, not a wheel wrench. The Click-Torque A 6 is the lowest price on this shelf, about £133.20, rated 4.6 from 250 reviews, on a 1/4 inch hex if you already own the bits. The A 5 is the square-drive twin. Neither finishes a crank bolt above 25 Nm.

Both directions, 20–100 Nm

You have to measure anti-clockwise as well as clockwise, and the figure is inside 20–100 Nm. The Click-Torque C 2 Push is the only listing here that states both directions, at about £189.99, rated 4.9 from 83 reviews. The file has no UK review text. A clockwise-only wheel nut at 120 Nm is the wrong job for it.

Common questions about Wera torque wrenches

Which Wera torque wrench is the top pick in this comparison?
The top pick is the Wera Click-Torque C 2 Push, about £189.99, rated 4.9 from 83 amazon.co.uk reviews. It is 20–100 Nm on a 1/2 inch square, with ±3% stated, and it is the only listing in this set that states clockwise and anti-clockwise control, by reversing a captive square. The file has no review text labelled United Kingdom. It is the wrong spend for a clockwise wheel nut at 120 Nm, or for a stem bolt under 20 Nm.
How much does a Wera torque wrench cost on amazon.co.uk?
These eleven listings run from £133.20 to £199.99. The lower end of this Wera shelf is £133.20 to £144.99, the A 6 and the A 5. The middle is £169.00 to £178.50, covering the C 1, C 2, C 3, B 1 and B 2. The upper end is £189.99 to £199.99: the C 2 Push, the bicycle set, the A 6 set and the C 4. No Wera under £50 was kept.
What should you check before you buy a Wera torque wrench?
Put the fastener’s newton-metre figure inside the printed range, then match the drive: 1/4 inch square, 1/4 inch hex, 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch. An adaptor does not change the range. Check direction next. A reversible ratchet undoes a fastener. Only the C 2 Push states measurement both ways. Read the percentage on the listing you are buying. The A 5 and A 6 state ±4%. Several B and C bullets state ±3%. Stop at the first click.
Does reversible mean a Wera torque wrench measures both ways?
No. On these Click-Torque listings, reversible describes the ratchet, so the square can spin the other way and undo a fastener. The handle line on the standard models is for right-hand use. Measured anti-clockwise torque is a different claim. In this set only the Click-Torque C 2 Push, part 05075625001, states clockwise and anti-clockwise control, on 20–100 Nm, by reversing a captive square. Do not read that claim onto the C 2, the B 2 or the A series.
Is ISO 6789-1 a calibration certificate?
No. ISO 6789-1:2017 is a declaration of conformance. ISO 6789-2 is the calibration certificate. A percentage on a Wera bullet is the maker’s claim under that declaration, not a UKAS certificate. Wera’s manual says to check the wrench after 5,000 load cycles or about one year from first use, then yearly. The Measuring Instruments Regulations 2016 do not list a hand torque wrench. Satisfactory quality still applies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Can one Wera torque wrench do wheel nuts and bicycle bolts?
Not across one range. Bicycle stems, clamps and many rotor bolts sit inside 2.5–25 Nm. A passenger-car wheel figure often sits inside the C 3 title of 40–200 Nm, or above 200 Nm and at or under 300 Nm on the C 4. There is no single UK wheel-nut torque. Many HGV nuts around 400–650 Nm are outside this set. On a bicycle the etched mark wins, and carbon can crush with no warning.
When should a garage take the job instead?
Use a garage or a calibration lab when the handbook figure is missing on a wheel, brake or suspension bolt, when the wrench does not click, when the bolt needs an angle after the torque, when the nut is an HGV wheel above 300 Nm, and when the job needs an ISO 6789-2 certificate. A different brand’s 1/2 inch click wrench, outside this Wera shelf, is the Vanpo torque wrench comparison.

Our verdict

For a fastener inside 20–100 Nm that must be measured both ways, the top pick is the Click-Torque C 2 Push at about £189.99, rated 4.9 from 83 reviews, with no UK review text in the file. For clockwise 1/4 inch hex work inside 2.5–25 Nm, the best value is the Click-Torque A 6 at about £133.20, rated 4.6 from 250 reviews, the lowest price on this shelf. A car wheel nut usually wants the C 3 (40–200 Nm on the title) or the C 4 when the handbook figure is above 200 Nm. The A series cannot do that job, and no single newton-metre figure fits every UK wheel.
