Campingaz Party Grill 400 vs 600

Updated: 23 October 2026

You are looking at two blue round stoves that share the Party Grill name, and the amazon title for the 400 CV even prints an R907 beside a CV470. They are not two sizes of the same gas system. Campingaz Party Grill 400 vs 600 is a choice between a cartridge stove, this set’s 400 CV, and a 4,000 W cylinder stove that needs a regulator and hose you buy separately. Attitude, Othello, both Xperts and the multi-burner stay off this page. The full eight-row table is on the [Campingaz gas barbecue comparison](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/campingaz-gas-barbecue). Peter F. used the amazon.co.uk files, Argos, and Campingaz UK product pages on 21 October 2026. There was no side-by-side cook.

They are not two sizes of the same gas system

ASIN B01MDQYA48 is model 2000030685, the Party Grill 400 CV. Bullets name a CV470 Plus with a stated run time of up to three hours. Argos states that the cartridge is not included and that an R907 or R904 kit cannot be used. The manual for 2000030685 lists CV470 Plus and CV300 Plus only. Campingaz UK’s Party Grill 400 page (SKU 2000035499) is a different product, the 400 R on R904 and R907. A shop page that prints this model number on a cylinder description is a listing clash, not proof that the CV bay takes an R907. The Party Grill 600 is ASIN B017K5OKXU, model 2000025701. Campingaz UK and the amazon bullets agree on R907 or R904. An Argos hose kit for 904 and 907 cylinders states that it does not fit CV300 or CV470 cartridges. Shop pages quote 28 mbar and 29 mbar for similar kits. Buy a Campingaz-compatible regulator for R cylinders. Putting a CV470 on the 600 fights Campingaz’s warning for cartridge kits on burners above 2,500 W.

Power, weight and what is in the box

The 400 CV lists 2,000 W, about 4.9 kg, a carry bag, and surfaces that swap a pan support, grid and griddle. The lid is described as a wok. Included components list a cartridge. UK reviews say the box had none. The star line is 4.6 from 4,208. The 600 lists 4,000 W and 10.7 kg on amazon (Campingaz UK prints 12 kg). Stated runtimes are 9 hours 30 minutes on an R907 and 6 hours 15 minutes on an R904. The lockable lid has a thermometer. The bag is included. The regulator and hose are not. The star line is 4.6 from 527. UK reviews praise the surfaces and also report weight, a greasy water tray and arrival damage. Shelf prices are £96.01 and £191.99 before gas. Lighting both outdoors is on how to light a Campingaz Party Grill.

When the 400 CV, when the 600

Choose the 400 CV when you cook for about two people from a car boot, you want the deeper UK review file, and you will buy a CV470 Plus yourself. It is the lighter pack, about 5 kg without gas. Do not buy it because the amazon title printed an R907. Choose the 600 when you already use R904 or R907 cylinders, you can lift about 11 to 12 kg, and you will budget for the regulator kit. It is the higher-power Party Grill with longer stated cylinder runtimes and a lid thermometer. It is the wrong stove if your only gas is a CV470. The other six listings sit on the Campingaz gas barbecue buying guide.

What the shelf price leaves out

The £96.01 line does not settle the cartridge. Amazon lists gas in included components. UK reviews and Argos say it is not supplied. Budget a CV470 Plus, and ignore the R907 in the title. The £191.99 line does not include the regulator or the hose. Campingaz UK lists 28 mbar regulators for R cylinders. Retail kits for 904 and 907 appear around 28 to 29 mbar. Buy a kit specified for those cylinders. Do not invent a 37 mbar patio-bottle fit, and do not hang a CV470 on the 4,000 W burner. Confirm the weight: 10.7 kg on amazon, 12 kg on Campingaz UK.

Common questions

Is the amazon 400 CV the same as the Party Grill 400 R?
No. B01MDQYA48 is model 2000030685, the CV stove. Campingaz UK’s 400 R is SKU 2000035499 on R904 and R907. Same family name, different gas. The cylinder runtimes on the 400 R page belong to that R model, not to this ASIN.
Can I use the CV470 I already own on the 600?
No. The 600 specifies R907 or R904. Cartridge kits are the wrong supply for that burner, and Argos’s R-cylinder hose kit excludes CV cartridges. Campingaz warns against feeding a single burner above 2,500 W from a CV470 Plus.
Which one has the bag, and what else is missing?
Both list a carry bag. The 400 CV is missing a reliable cartridge-in-the-box promise. Reviews and Argos say buy gas separately. The 600 is missing the regulator and hose in the box. Both still need gas you buy yourself.
Which has more UK reviews?
The 400 CV: 4.6 from 4,208 on amazon.co.uk, with UK bodies in the file. The 600 is also 4.6, from 527. The shared star does not make the review files the same size.
What pressure is the 600’s regulator?
Campingaz UK lists 28 mbar regulators for R cylinders as a product line. Retail kits for 904 and 907 appear around 28 to 29 mbar depending on the shop page. Buy a kit specified for those cylinders. Do not invent a 37 mbar patio-bottle fit.
Which one if I cook for two, and which if I cook for four?
Two people and a car boot point at the 400 CV after you buy a CV470 Plus. A family meal on R cylinders you can refill points at the 600, with the regulator kit in the budget. Some camping write-ups frame the 400 as a family-of-four stove. It is still a cartridge stove, not an R907.
