Campingaz gas barbecue buying guide

Updated: 23 October 2026

You have eight Campingaz listings open on amazon.co.uk and they look like sizes of one barbecue. They are not. A Campingaz gas barbecue in this set is a cartridge Party Grill, an R-cylinder Party Grill, a tabletop Attitude or Othello, a wheeled Xpert, or a multi-burner cooker. The first wrong click is buying gas the appliance will not take. This page is the decision order only. Prices and the full table stay on the [Campingaz gas barbecue comparison](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/campingaz-gas-barbecue). Peter F. used the amazon.co.uk files and Campingaz UK gas notes on 21 October 2026. There was no lab cook.

Start with the gas the listing names

Sort the eight rows by the bullets, not the photo. The black Party Grill (B000PKLAVS, £43.92) names CV470 and CV300 cartridges. The Party Grill 400 CV (B01MDQYA48, £96.01) names a CV470 Plus. The Party Grill 600 (B017K5OKXU, £191.99) names R907 or R904 and says the regulator and hose are sold separately. The Attitude 2go CV (£190.96, 2.4 kW) names a CV470 Plus with hose included; the cartridge is not. The Othello 1 CV (£159.99, 2.8 kW) says the CV470 Plus is not included while hose and regulator are. The Xpert 100 L (£124.99) and Xpert 200 LS Plus (£224.99) never name a cartridge, regulator or pressure. The multi-burner (£177.30) includes a hose and optional regulators 32412 or 32420, without a UK pressure. A CV470 Plus should not feed a single burner above 2,500 W, or the cartridge can freeze. That excludes the 600. The Othello at 2.8 kW sits above that kit limit, so follow the appliance plate. Leave both Xperts until you read the plate. The pairwise split is on Party Grill 400 vs 600.

The Party Grill 400 CV title does not settle the fitting

The amazon title for B01MDQYA48 (model 2000030685) names a CV470 and an R907 in one line. The bullets keep the stove on a CV470 Plus. Argos sells the Party Grill 400CV and states that the cartridge is not included and that an R907 or R904 kit cannot be used. The manual for 2000030685 lists CV470 Plus and CV300 Plus only. Campingaz UK’s Party Grill 400 page (SKU 2000035499) is a different stove, the cylinder 400 R. Do not treat the amazon title as proof that one ASIN accepts both gases. Included components list a gas cartridge. UK reviews and Argos say the box had none. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must match the description. Budget for a CV470 Plus and ignore the R907 in the title. If you already own R cylinders, you want the 600 or the separate 400 R, not this CV listing.

Power, weight and form

Cartridge Party Grills run from 1,350 W and 2.9 kg (black, no bag named) to 2,000 W and about 4.9 kg (400 CV, bag included). The 600 is 4,000 W and about 10.7 kg on amazon (Campingaz UK prints 12 kg), and it needs the regulator kit. The Attitude is about 13 kg (Campingaz UK about 14 kg). The Othello is a 10.5 kg plancha. The Xperts are about 16 kg and 27 kg, with assembly on the 100 L. The multi-burner lists 8 kg and a folded height of 17 cm. A Party Grill with a bag is a car-boot stove. An Xpert is a garden trolley you assemble once. Packing and site rules sit on Campingaz for camping and caravans.

Lines to ignore

A printed 230 V on the black Party Grill or the Xpert 100 L is not a mains lead. Side burner count 2 on the Xpert 100 L sits next to bullets that describe two foldable side tables. The Xpert 200 wattage field prints 2,200 W while the bullets say 8.2 kW plus a 2.1 kW side burner. Prefer the kilowatt lines, and prefer centimetres in the bullets when Amazon’s dimension cells disagree. The Attitude and Othello both show 4.6 from 426, and the UK review bodies share names and dates. That is one overlapping sample. The Xpert 100 L (4.2 from 205) and the multi-burner (3.6 from 201) have no UK review bodies in the saved files. None of these files show an EN 498 or UKCA mark. GOV.UK still bars a tent, an awning, a caravan and a balcony. If the fitting is blank, stop and read the plate.

Common questions

Does the Party Grill 400 CV take an R907?
Not according to Argos or the CV manual for model 2000030685. Those sources keep it on CV470 Plus and CV300 Plus. The amazon title names an R907. Treat that as a listing clash. The cylinder Party Grill 400 R is a different Campingaz UK SKU.
Is the cartridge in the box?
On the 400 CV, included components list a cartridge. UK reviews and Argos say it is not. On the Attitude and Othello, the cartridge is not in the included line. Budget for a CV470 Plus unless the live page clearly shows gas in the parcel you receive.
What does the Party Grill 600 need that the 400 CV does not?
An R907 or R904 cylinder plus a Campingaz regulator and hose, which the 600 listing says are sold separately. The 400 CV is built around a CV cartridge bay for this ASIN.
Which listings never name a regulator?
The Xpert 100 L and Xpert 200 LS Plus leave cartridge, regulator and pressure blank. Do not assign Campingaz’s separate 28 mbar regulator product to those trolleys without reading the appliance plate.
Why do two listings share 4.6 from 426 reviews?
The Attitude 2go CV and Othello 1 CV files share much of their UK review text. Do not add those samples together or treat them as two clean proofs.
What should I buy if I only want a plancha?
The Othello 1 CV is the enamelled plancha in this set, with hose and regulator in the bullets and the CV470 Plus not included. Accept the overlapping review file with the Attitude, and do not expect a Party Grill lid.
