Round garden table for a small patio

Updated: 23 October 2026

You have a balcony or a two-chair patio, and the cheapest round thing in the search is 122 cm across. A round garden table for a small patio has to include the chairs, not only the top, and it still has to be the right height if you mean to eat. This page applies that to a tight space. Names and prices for the eight listings are on the [round garden table comparison](/hub/garden-furniture/round-garden-table). Figures are amazon.co.uk lines read on 21 October 2026. Why the cheap 120 cm table is the wrong bargain

The YITAHOME is £40, 122 cm by 74 cm, at 12.8 kg. The Harbour is £54.49, 120 cm by 73.5 cm, at 13.8 kg. Both are dining height on a proper patio and the wrong size on a small one. Lafuma gives two people about 60 cm of top. Chairs sit outside the circle, and Lazy Susan allows about 75 cm to sit. The YITAHOME file lists a door width of 132 cm. The Harbour's folded width of about 62 cm does not shrink the open footprint. A 1.5 m depth is a planning benchmark one retailer cites, not a measurement of your balcony. Folding does not turn a dinner table into a bistro. The chart is in the round garden table buying guide.

Two people need dining height, not just a small circle

Two people eating need about 60–80 cm across and about 70–74 cm high, plus the chairs. JYSK's Radstrup, Lazy Susan's Ella and a Kettler two-seater are that bistro shape. None of them is in this folder. Furniture in Fashion wants about 150–180 cm of clear depth for two chairs opposite a 60 cm table. Your tape measure wins. The 46 cm PHI VILLA does not become a table at 74 cm because it is small. The Grand patio is 70 cm across and only 40 cm high. If dining height for two is the job, this set does not contain it.

What this set can do beside a chair

What this set can do is a drink or a plant beside one seat. The PHI VILLA is £29.99, 46 cm by 48 cm, 3.85 kg, and UK reviews put it on balconies. It is 4.6 from 2,110 ratings. One review reports rust on the rim after rain. It is not dinner for two. The Shatchi is 35 cm by 54 cm, with a shelf and a stated 23 kg, from only 20 ratings. The ZEECER at £24.99 showed rust after a month in one UK review. The Simmer Stone states 5 kg, and one review says three legs feel unstable unless wedged, which can block the door. The Grand patio is 70 cm at 40 cm and does not fold. Who should skip a name is on the best round garden table page.

A parasol on a balcony is a base problem

Shade on a small patio is a base, a wall or a sail, not a hole in these tables. None of the eight states a 38–50 mm pole hole. Do not drill the PHI VILLA's glass or the YITAHOME's HDPE. A cantilever base can be the heaviest object on the balcony. If the parasol must go through a dining top, shop a table that prints 40 mm or 50 mm, outside this set. The table is not the shade.

Common questions

What round table fits two people?
About 60 cm across and about 70–74 cm high, with room for the chairs, if you mean a meal. Lafuma's guide says 60 cm for two. JYSK, Lazy Susan and Kettler sell that bistro shape. This amazon.co.uk set does not include one. If you mean a drink beside one chair, the PHI VILLA at 46 cm by 48 cm is the table the UK reviews actually describe on a balcony.
Will the 122 cm YITAHOME fit a balcony?
Usually no. The open top is 122 cm before the chairs, and the listing's door-width attribute is 132 cm. A balcony near 1.5 m deep, the planning benchmark one retailer cites, has no room for that circle plus a chair and a door swing. Folding to about 61 cm helps storage after the meal. It does not help the meal. Use it on a larger patio.
Is the 70 cm Grand patio a bistro table?
No. It is 70 cm across and 40 cm high, with a stated load of 23 kg. That is a wide side or coffee table. A bistro you eat at is nearer 70–74 cm high, like the JYSK Radstrup at 70 cm high, which is not this listing. Buy the Grand patio for drinks in front of low seating. Do not buy it as dinner for two.
How much floor do chairs need behind a round top?
About 75 cm to sit, on Lazy Susan's note, and more like 110 cm if people walk behind, on Lafuma's note. The numbers differ because one is sitting and one is passing. On a small patio, assume the larger number if anyone must pass the chairs to reach the door. A 46 cm side table that nobody sits at needs far less.
Can I put a parasol on a balcony table from this set?
Not through the top. No kept listing states a 38–50 mm hole, and the ZEECER's 0.75 inch line is not one. A base beside the table may not fit the same balcony that was too small for a 120 cm top. Do not drill glass. If the parasol is the point, shop a table that prints the hole, outside this set.
