220 cm beer bench cover

Updated: 22 October 2026

On a UK beer set, 220 cm is almost always the length, even when the cover title says the same number. The table can still be 50 cm, 70 cm or 80 cm wide, and a shell has a footprint of its own. This page is that check. It does not pick a brand. The five listings and their prices are on the [beer bench cover comparison](/hub/garden-furniture/beer-bench-cover). The Products Compared editorial team used amazon.co.uk files from 19 October 2026 and did not measure your garden. What 220 cm usually means

Start with the furniture you have, not with the cover's title. The Range sells a folding set whose table is 220 x 50 x 78 cm and whose benches are 220 x 25 x 47.5 cm. E-Wood Products calls eight adults a 220 cm set, then lists table widths of 60, 70 or 80 cm. Those shops sell tables, not the five covers in this grid. Put a tape on length, width, and bench height. If a leg or a hinge sticks out, include it when you compare a shell. Do not convert seat counts into centimetres.

Reading a three-piece cloth

A party set prints the cloth, not the shell. WedDecor and Trimming Shop both state a table cover of 220 x 50 x 70 cm and bench covers of 220 x 25 x 46 cm: length, then width, then drop. A 50 cm middle number does not match a 70 cm or 80 cm top. Trimming Shop adds a bench about 48 cm high. vidaXL.co.uk states 40 cm for a stretch set outside this grid. A 40 cm cloth on a 48 cm bench stops short. WedDecor's item-dimensions field also says 46 x 25 x 70 cm. Keep both lines. Noor is flat cloth, 220 x 65 cm and 220 x 87 cm, with no drop. Cloth versus shell is on slipcover or weather cover.

Reading a shell

A shell's three numbers are a box over the standing set, not the table's three numbers. YedZen states 230 x 130 x 75 cm, and the metre line agrees. The inch lines do not, so ignore them. The 130 cm has to reach from the outside of one bench to the outside of the other. A table top of 78 cm, like The Range's, is already taller than the 75 cm cover height. ANEELV's title says 220 x 120 x 75 cm. The item-dimensions field says 2.3 x 1.2 x 0.75 m. Do not average 220 and 230. Adding 50 + 25 + 25 does not give the footprint, because the benches sit out from the top.

When 220 cm still will not fit

A 70 cm or 80 cm top will not wear a cloth whose middle number is 50 cm. A backrest changes the outline, and no listing here states a backrest cut. For a shell, measure outside-to-outside, then set that next to 230 x 130 x 75 cm or both of ANEELV's length lines. If you needed a day cloth rather than a shell, use the buying guide before you order again. Once the numbers match, fitting is on how to fit a beer bench cover. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 does not stretch a 50 cm cloth over an 80 cm top.

Common questions

Is 220 cm the length or the whole footprint?
On these beer sets it is the length. The Range's table is 220 cm long and 50 cm wide. A cover titled 220 cm has told you one edge. You still need width and height, and for a shell you need the standing footprint.
My table is 50 cm wide. Which cover number is that?
On a three-piece cloth, the middle number of the table cloth is the width. WedDecor and Trimming Shop print 220 x 50 x 70 cm, so 70 cm is the drop. On a shell, YedZen's 130 cm and ANEELV's 120 cm are widths over the whole set.
Will a 220 x 120 x 75 cover fit a 220 x 50 set?
It might, and the title match is not the proof. The 120 cm has to clear both benches, and the 75 cm has to clear the tabletop. A table that is 78 cm high is already above 75 cm. ANEELV's file also contains 2.3 m as a length.
What if my table is 70 or 80 cm wide?
A cloth printed as 220 x 50 cm will not cover the top, even though both say 220 cm along the length. E-Wood lists 60, 70 and 80 cm as beer-table widths. A shell still depends on the outside measurement.
Why does one listing say both 220 and 230 cm?
ANEELV's title says 220 x 120 x 75 cm. The item-dimensions field says 2.3 x 1.2 x 0.75 m. YedZen's centimetre and metre lines agree at 230 cm, while its inch lines disagree. Do not average the two lengths.
Do backrests change the cover?
Yes. A backrest adds height and depth, so a plain bench cloth or a shell cut for a backless set will not follow the new outline. None of the five listings states a backrest size. A tighter cord will not invent the extra fabric.
