What 14 inch has to agree on

Fourteen inches is about 35 cm on a guide bar. Stiga’s UK guide puts 12–14 inch bars on firewood and limbs of about 10–20 cm. The title, the bullets and the chain-length field can disagree. On the Hyundai HYC1600E at about £59.50, the title and chain-length field say 1600 W, 14 inch, 230 V and a 3 m cable. Bullets still claim 2400 W and a 40 cm (16 inch) bar. Buy the figures that agree. The Oregon CS1200 at about £97.29 titles 1800 W and 14 inch, and the bullets name a 35 cm low-kickback chain. Einhell states a 35 cm bar and a 33 cm cutting length. The HY40CCS350 states up to 20 m/s and Einhell up to 15 m/s. The HYC1600E field lists 13 rpm, which is not a chain speed.

Corded, kit, or body only

Two listings are corded: the HYC1600E and the Oregon CS1200. They cut until you stop. The HYC1600E names a 3 m cable, so most gardens need an outdoor extension, fully unwound, on a 30 mA RCD. Electrical Safety First says not to use a cabled saw in the rain. The HY40CCS350 at about £188.99 includes two 4.0 Ah packs, a dual charger, a stated brake and a 200 ml tank. The HYC40LI at about £209.00 includes one 2.5 Ah pack. UK reviewers report about 15 minutes in one account and longer in another. The Husqvarna 225i at about £599.00 includes a battery and a charger. Amp-hours are not stored. The Einhell GP-LC 36/35 at about £129.95 is supplied without a Power X-Change battery or charger. Einhell 36 V tools use two 18 V packs. With those packs already at home, the shelf price is the saw. Without them, £129.95 is not a kit.

Oil, brake, and the next chain

Bar-and-chain oil is not named in the included-components line for any of the six. You still need it before the first cut. Stated tanks are 200 ml on the HY40CCS350 and 115 ml with a sight glass on the Einhell. Oregon reviewers call the CS1200 reservoir small, and the card gives no millilitres. Oregon lists an integrated chain brake. The HY40CCS350 lists an anti-kickback brake. The HYC1600E, HYC40LI, Einhell and Husqvarna amazon bullets do not. Einhell names a claw stop. Husqvarna’s UK page for the 225i names an inertia brake, and that line is not on the stored amazon bullets. The cut sequence is on how to use a 14 inch chainsaw. The next chain needs bar length, pitch and gauge. Stihl’s UK advisor says 3/8 inch and 3/8 inch P are not interchangeable. An Oregon CS1200 replacement card names 3/8 inch LP, .050 inch and 52 drive links. That is a parts listing, not a field on the saw page. HSE PPE is not in these boxes.

A short checklist before you order

Check a bar length that repeats, a box that matches your socket or your batteries, a brake only if the listing names one, and speed in m/s where it exists. Husqvarna’s stored review texts are marked United States. Leave a 12 inch mini saw, a 16 inch corded model, a bar that contradicts itself, or a body-only price when you own no packs. Petrol capacity and professional felling sit outside this set. A named match is on best 14 inch chainsaw.

Common questions

Is a 14 inch bar the same as 35 cm?
On these listings, yes in practice. Titles and chain-length fields use 14 inch and about 35 cm for the same guide bar. Cutting length can be shorter than the bar. Einhell states a 33 cm cutting length on a 35 cm Oregon bar, so you should not assume every cut uses the full bar depth.
What if the title says 14 inch and a bullet says 16 inch?
Treat it as a listing conflict, as on the Hyundai HYC1600E at about £59.50. The title and the chain-length field say 14 inch and 1600 W. A bullet says a 40 cm (16 inch) bar and 2400 W. Buy the length that the title and the chain-length field both repeat unless you have confirmed the bar that arrives.
Does the price include a battery and a charger?
On the HY40CCS350, yes: two 4.0 Ah packs and a dual charger. On the HYC40LI, yes: one 2.5 Ah pack and a 2 A charger. On the Einhell, no. On the Husqvarna 225i, the title says a battery and a charger, and amp-hours are not stored here. The two corded listings include neither.
Is bar-and-chain oil in the box?
Not on the included-components lines for any of the six. Stated tanks, where the card gives them, are 200 ml on the HY40CCS350 and 115 ml with a sight glass on the Einhell. Plan to buy bar oil before the first cut. A short session does not remove that line from the order.
Which chain fits a 14 inch bar?
You need matching bar length, pitch and gauge. Stihl’s UK saw-chain advisor says 3/8 inch and 3/8 inch P are not interchangeable. An Oregon replacement card for the CS1200 names 3/8 inch LP, .050 inch and 52 drive links. That is a hint for that model only, and it is a parts listing, not a field on the saw page.
