Best tile repair kit for the chip you can see

Updated: 16.10.2026

You searched for the best tile repair kit because the damage is already there: a white bath, a beige floor tile, or a scratch you hope will disappear. On this page, best means a printed cure, a tint list and a review count that match that chip. It does not mean the best-seller line on amazon.co.uk. The twelve kits, with their prices, are on our [tile repair kits](/hub/flooring/tiles-repair-kit) comparison. The Products Compared editorial team read the listings on 15 October 2026. There was no lab test. A qualifying purchase can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Best is a condition, not a badge

A white enamel chip and a beige porcelain floor ask for different mixes. Sales rank does not settle the choice. A number-one line in Tile Epoxy Adhesives is a sales position, and it can still print no setting time. Konig’s ceramic kit is £243.36 including VAT, and Cramer UK tells you to leave hairline and movement cracks alone. A paste under £24 is not that professional kit.

A stated 24-hour cure and a large review count

Tufinein is 160 g at about £16.99, mixed 1:1, with five colour pastes and a full cure after 24 hours. The amazon.co.uk line is 4.4 from 185 reviews, the largest file in this set. For a white or light stone chip, that is the listing whose buyers have had the longest say. The first fill can sink, so a deep hole is a two-visit job. MendMight is also 160 g, at about £13.59, with 24 hours to cure and a further 24 hours or more before water. Across 171 reviews the rating is 4.1. The bullets refuse a structural crack. In the first 50 reviews, beige and off-white are hard to hit, and the cured putty is often shinier than the tile. Hupeyna’s 4.7 from 49 reviews costs about £23.99 and prints no hour count. A high star line without a clock is a weaker choice when you need the bath back on a known morning.

High stars, small counts, no stars

Bondtech is about £9.99, mixed 1:1, with 24 hours or more before sanding. The rating is 5.0 from 20 reviews on a listing dated 21 September 2026, mostly short praise. Nothing in the file measures the claim that it will not yellow. Twenty reviews can support a trial on a white chip. They carry less weight than 185 reviews when the bath is in daily use. BeoTnp and the Generic kit have no Customer Reviews line. BOFRHME at about £22.99 is wax bars, with no waterproof line. Wax can hide a dry scratch. A chip people walk on wants a hard fill.

When the best purchase is not a kit

Topps Tiles says a cracked floor tile should be replaced, and that the spare should come from the same batch. Paste can hide a glaze chip in a tile that is still firmly stuck. It does not stop a crack through the body, and it does not fill a hollow sound that means a void under the tile. MendMight’s own bullet already refuses that structural job. If several tiles are loose, or the crack has come back after a fill, the next spend is a tiler. The gram clashes and the cure check are on our tile repair kit buying guide.

Which listing to open first

If the chip is white or light stone and you can wait 24 hours, start with the largest review file and a printed cure. If you can keep water off for about two days, use the 160 g listing that also refuses a structural crack. If the tile is beige and the patch has to disappear, neither large file is a confident match. If the tile is cracked through, leave the basket.

Common questions

Which kit is the best for a white enamel chip?
For a white enamel chip you can leave alone, Tufinein at about £16.99 has the largest file, 4.4 from 185 reviews, a 1:1 mix and a printed 24-hour cure. MendMight at about £13.59 adds a further 24 hours before water. Bondtech also prints 24 hours, from 20 reviews dated to 21 September 2026. Deep fills may need a second layer.
Which kit is a poor fit for a beige floor tile?
MendMight’s first 50 reviews say beige and off-white are hard to hit, and the cured putty is often shinier than the tile. Hupeyna’s reviews say almond and ivory were hard, at about £23.99 and with no hour count. PIBEIBUK RE03 lists almond and beige pastes, but the colour field says Orange and one review says it did not work.
Is the number-one best seller the best kit?
Inpumo is ranked 1 in Tile Epoxy Adhesives on its page, with 4.5 from 43 reviews at about £9.99. Rank is a sales position. The page prints no setting time, and one review says hairline cracks did not fill.
Is 5.0 from 20 reviews enough?
Bondtech’s 5.0 from 20 reviews is a real line, with a 1:1 mix and 24 hours or more before sanding. The reviews are mostly short praise on a listing dated 21 September 2026, and the no-yellowing claim is not measured. For a daily bath, Tufinein’s 4.4 from 185 tells you more. Twenty reviews can support a trial, not a settled record.
Should I buy the wax set if it costs more?
BOFRHME is about £22.99 for eleven wax bars, rated 2.5 from 2 ratings, with no review text and no waterproof line. MendMight’s 160 g epoxy is about £13.59 and Tufinein’s is about £16.99. A higher price on wax does not buy a harder floor repair. Use wax for a light, dry scratch.
