How to choose peel and stick tile stickers

Updated: October 2026

You are measuring a UK kitchen of 15 cm tiles. Peel and stick tile stickers in this set are a flat film, a 15 × 30 cm rectangle, or a thicker gel sheet, and those three cover different walls. Match a sheet to the tile, turn a pack into square metres, and set aside a listing that prints two sizes. This page does not crown a pack. Prices stay on the [tile stickers comparison](/hub/fillers-adhesives-and-sprays/tile-stickers). This page is from the Products Compared editorial team. We used the eleven amazon.co.uk listings on 16 October 2026. No sheet was applied. A qualifying purchase through our links can earn a commission.

Three sheet types

Measure one tile before you read a pattern name. A flat 15 × 15 cm transfer is meant for a tile of that size: Tile Style’s 72-packs, the Fantasnight 12-pack, and the Moroccan glossy pack. A 15 × 30 cm rectangle is a short metro proportion. Amoyun sells 24 grey sheets. Hode sells 12 white-marble sheets with a stated thickness of 0.48 mm. Gel sheets are larger. WoStick and the Alwayspon 30.5 cm sets are about 30.5 cm square, and the herringbone sheets are 29 × 22.9 cm. A 15 cm film on a 15 × 30 cm tile leaves a bare half. A 30.5 cm gel sheet will not sit inside one 15 cm square. Flat Tile Style film has no thickness on the listing, and reviewers call it thin enough to tear. Named picks, with a reason to skip each, are on best tile stickers.

Coverage, not piece count

Buy square metres. Seventy-two sheets of 15 × 15 cm are 1.62 m². At about £10.98 that is about £6.78 per square metre. Fantasnight states 0.27 m² for 12 squares, so about £6.49 is about £24 per square metre. The till price is the lowest in the set. The wall is a small panel. Ten sheets of 30.5 × 30.5 cm are about 0.93 m², so WoStick at about £19.98 is about £21 per square metre and the Alwayspon 30.5 cm packs at about £29.99 are about £32. Those figures are arithmetic from this set, not a UK market average.

When the listing disagrees with itself

Three conflicts change the order. The Moroccan title says 24 sheets. A bullet says 20 sheets and 0.45 m², and 0.45 m² is 20 squares of 15 cm. Hode’s unit count says 1.0 square metre. Twelve sheets of 15 × 30 cm are 0.54 m², about £18.50 per square metre at about £9.99 if you use the size you can recompute. TOFFCAEA’s bullets say 30.5 × 30.5 cm. The dimensions say 22.9 × 29 cm, and the size line says 9 × 11.5 in, which matches the smaller pair. Section 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must match the description. A pack of 20 when the title promised 24 is a description problem with the seller. GOV.UK’s refunds guidance covers goods that are not as described. Keep both figures. Count what arrives before you start a row you cannot finish.

Heat, water and floors

A matched size still fails in the wrong place. Both Tile Style 72-packs state up to 120°C and more than 25 cm from the heat source, and they say the sheets are not for floor tiles. Hode says keep 10 cm from an open flame and prints no temperature. Alwayspon’s three listings state 120°C and no centimetre gap. Fantasnight, Amoyun and TOFFCAEA say heat resistant with no degree figure. WoStick prints no heat sentence. Those lines are seller claims, not a fire test. Waterproof wording is the same kind of claim. Moroccan bullets name a floor, and Tile Style says the opposite. One floor sentence is not a hallway specification. Reviews also describe emulsion coming away with the sheet.

Common questions

Will a 15 × 15 cm sticker cover one existing tile?
Yes, when the tile is 15 × 15 cm and the sheet is the same size. Tile Style states that each sticker covers a tile of that size, and that the product is flat vinyl rather than a hard tile.
Why is a 12-piece pack sometimes dearer per square metre than a 72-piece pack?
Because it covers less wall. Fantasnight’s 12 squares are a stated 0.27 m² at about £6.49, about £24 per square metre.
What do I do when the title and the bullet disagree on size or piece count?
Keep both numbers and plan on the one you can recompute. Moroccan coverage of 0.45 m² matches 20 squares, while the title says 24.
Should I buy every pack for one wall in the same order?
Yes, when the wall needs more than one pack. This set includes a second order in a different colour, on the shared Alwayspon reviews and on a TOFFCAEA pack that arrived almost baby pink.
Which heat sentence is specific enough to plan a hob gap?
Tile Style prints both a temperature and a distance: up to 120°C, and more than 25 cm from the heat source. Hode prints 10 cm from an open flame and no temperature.
