Liquid rose fertiliser buying guide

Updated: October 2026

You opened amazon.co.uk, typed rose feed, and now have eight bottles that all say rose and sit between about £6.49 and £26.12. A liquid rose fertiliser buying guide is the order of checks before you click: form, a printed NPK if the label has one, the millilitres on that bottle, an honest pack, and a review sample you can read. Price and the word rose do not settle it. The [rose fertiliser liquid comparison](/hub/fertiliser-soil-and-bark-mulch/rose-fertiliser-liquid) holds the eight listings. What follows is how to read them, not a ranking. We compared amazon.co.uk listings and public UK sources. This is not a laboratory test.

Our top picks

On this page

Start with the form, not the word rose

A rose-named watering-can concentrate here is Westland 1 L on two listings, Doff 1 L, Miracle-Gro as 2 × 800 ml, UK GROW 1 L, and Neudorff as 2 × 1 L. Empathy After Plant is a root-zone drench, not a weekly mineral can. The Topline box is 800 ml of liquid plus 900 g of granules. Pellets, sticks, and a dry carton sold alone belong on another page. Patio pots want a weekly or fortnightly bottle once the compost charge fades. A bed that already had a March granule wants a summer boost. That split sits on liquid or granular rose fertiliser. Three roses in 30 cm pots and a 4.5 L can match a 1 L Westland or Doff. The bundle matches only if you will use the carton. None of these eight treats black spot. The RHS treats it as a fungus.

A printed NPK, then a dilution you will not copy

Only Doff prints an analysis on the Amazon listing: NPK 4:4:12 with trace elements. Westland’s fields do not. B&Q and Westland Garden Health print 6.0-3.0-9.5 for the same 1 L. Empathy, Miracle-Gro, UK GROW, the bundle, and Neudorff have no numeric NPK on the listing. Neudorff’s UK page prints 3-1-5; that is not the Amazon field. A missing number is a missing number. Millilitres belong to this bottle. Doff says 15 ml for about nine plants, fortnightly, March to September. Westland maker pages say 50 ml in 4.5 L. Empathy’s field prints 1:0:0; the listing says apply it on the roots when planting. Copying the 50 ml cap onto Doff over-feeds. How you mix a bottle you already hold sits on how to use liquid rose feed. If the field prints 1:X or 1:0:0, read the cap on the pack.

Pack size, then the review sample

On 21 October 2026 a single litre sat about £6.49 to £8.86. The twins and the Topline bundle sat about £11.98 to £16.99. The Neudorff twin was about £26.12. None of those is a cheaper 1 L. Both Westland listings are model 20100440: 17 reviews on one, 487 on the other. The Miracle Grow box is liquid plus granules under Topline. Neudorff is two litres. Stars come last. 4.7 from 487 is not the same evidence as 4.8 from 17, four ratings, one rating, or a missing line. Leaky seals are a Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods issue, not a score for the chemistry.

A title is not a certificate

Organic on Neudorff’s title is not a named UK control body. Child and pet safe is listing wording. Great Britain does not require a UKCA mark on a fertiliser; Northern Ireland uses CE. If you already know the job, use the best-feed page linked below.

Common questions

What should I read first on a rose liquid listing?
Read the form first: watering-can concentrate, after-plant drench, twin pack, or liquid-plus-granule bundle. Then look for a printed NPK if the row has one, then the millilitres on that bottle, then whether the pack is one litre or two products. Stars come last. A 4.8 from 17 reviews is not stronger evidence than 4.7 from 487 on the same model.
Do I need a printed NPK?
Only if you refuse to buy without a number on the Amazon listing. In this set that listing is Doff, at 4:4:12 with trace elements. Westland’s maker pages print 6.0-3.0-9.5; that figure is not in the Amazon field. A missing number is not a better secret analysis, and it is not a reason to invent one.
Why must I not copy one cap onto another bottle?
Westland maker pages use 50 ml in 4.5 L. Doff uses 15 ml for about nine plants. Empathy’s Amazon mixing field is 1:0:0. Those are not interchangeable. Over-strength mix scorches; extra weekly feeds add cost, not bloom. Use the millilitres printed on the bottle you hold.
Is a twin pack better value than a 1 L?
Not automatically. Neudorff at about £26.12 is two litres. Miracle-Gro at about £11.98 is 2 × 800 ml. The Topline box is 800 ml of liquid plus 900 g of granules. Compare the job and the printed rate first. Then decide whether you will finish the extra volume in one UK season.
Does organic on the title mean certified?
No. Neudorff’s title and a bullet say certified for organic gardening. The listing does not name a UK control body. A title is not a certificate. Home gardeners who are not inspected can still use that check so they do not read a title as a mark.
Is the Miracle Grow box a liquid or granules?
Both. The listing is 800 ml of concentrated liquid plus 900 g of coated granules and a card. The brand field says Topline. It is two products in one checkout, not a third chemistry. Buy it only if you will use both forms.
Are the two Westland listings different products?
No. Both use model 20100440 and a 1 L liquid. One is about £6.58 with 487 reviews; the other is about £6.49 with 17. Open the cheaper live listing if the price gap is real. Do not treat the thin star line as a better bottle.
