Four jobs, four guns

A dry rotating gun blows air through a spinning nozzle so crumbs and dust lift out of vents, mats and carpet fibres. You still vacuum afterwards, because none of these guns captures what it moves. In this set the dry rows are Preciva, ABOHU, Dazzlingyyh and YUWEIC, from about £11.04 to about £22.99, and all four need a compressor. A straight blow gun is a narrower jet for loose debris in a gap or on a bench. That is the ACHANFLY kit at about £13.98, with a 5 metre recoil hose and no bottle. The Cretee at about £19.99 holds 1 litre and states a maximum of 8 bar. The YH-170 at about £43.60 is the only listing that says it needs no compressor. It is a hand spot gun for a small textile mark, not a dashboard vent. Named picks sit on the best cleaning gun page.

The plug has to match the hose

UK workshop hoses are often PCL, also sold as a UK Standard coupling. A Euro plug does not interchange with that profile. PCL’s XF-Euro notes describe a Euro shape that matches couplings such as Cejn 320 and Rectus 25/26, and they say it does not fit a UK Standard coupling. A label that only says 1/4 inch can still be BSP or NPT. In this set, UK reviews of the Cretee describe a European quick fitting that does not take a UK PCL male plug. The ACHANFLY T-piece is a Euro quick connector. The Dazzlingyyh page says 1/4 inch, and one UK review says the supplied Euro quick release fitted. Preciva says EU and US connectors and does not name PCL. ABOHU says 1/4 inch and does not say PCL or Euro. If your hose is PCL and the listing only says EU, identify an adaptor before you pay.

Airflow before the psi bullet

Rotating guns in UK reviews use a lot of air. ABOHU is the only listing here that states a flow: 240 litres per minute at 4.8 bar, with a working band of 6–9.2 bar. A branded Tornador Black, which is not one of these eight, states about 270 litres per minute. Do not paste that figure onto Preciva, Dazzlingyyh or YUWEIC. Those three do not state litres per minute. Preciva and YUWEIC print 60–160 psi beside 0.6–0.92 MPa in the same line. Those ranges are not equal. Do not set the regulator to 160 psi because a bullet mentions it. Dazzlingyyh states no pressure at all. Cretee’s 8 bar is a stated maximum. The pressure you can defend is in how to use a cleaning gun.

What this set actually costs

Treat these as shelf prices from the raw capture on amazon.co.uk. Under £16 you get the Dazzlingyyh at about £11.04, the ACHANFLY at about £13.98 and the ABOHU at about £15.29. From £16 to £25 you get the Preciva at about £18.69, the Cretee at about £19.99 and the YUWEIC at about £22.99. From £25 to £45 you get the HISUEKIG at about £31.99 and the YH-170 at about £43.60. A branded Tornador sits outside these bands. The cheapest rotating gun is a poor default if reviews describe a nozzle leaving the gun, which is the Dazzlingyyh pattern.

Common questions

Do I need a compressor at all?
Seven of the eight guns in this set need compressed air. The YH-170 at about £43.60 is the exception. The listing says no compressor and no airline, and it is a hand textile spot gun rather than a vent blower. If you have no tank and the mark is a small fabric spot, that is the row that matches the job. If the job is crumbs in a vent, you still need air.
Is a dry rotating gun the same purchase as a bottle gun?
No. A dry gun moves air only. Preciva, ABOHU, Dazzlingyyh and YUWEIC have no bottle in the comparison fields. Cretee and HISUEKIG add a 1 litre liquid container, and UK reviews of the Cretee include buyers who got no water out and a small blue tube that blew off the line. Buy the bottle only when you want liquid on a stain you can name.
Will a 1/4 inch gun fit a PCL hose?
Not from the words 1/4 inch alone. ABOHU and Dazzlingyyh say 1/4 inch, and neither listing names PCL. That label can be BSP or NPT, and NPT does not click into a UK Standard coupling. UK reviews of the Cretee describe a European fitting that refuses a PCL male plug. Check the profile on the hose you already own before you treat a non-fit as a broken gun.
What is the difference between a Euro plug and a UK Standard plug?
They are different profiles and they do not interchange. PCL’s XF-Euro notes say the Euro profile matches couplings such as Cejn 320 and Rectus 25/26, and that it does not fit a UK Standard coupling. ACHANFLY supplies a Euro quick connector. Preciva says EU and US connectors and does not name PCL. A Euro-only gun on a UK Standard hose needs an adaptor you have already identified.
How much air does a rotating gun ask for?
Only ABOHU states a figure in this set: 240 litres per minute at 4.8 bar, inside a working band of 6–9.2 bar. UK reviews of ABOHU and of YUWEIC say the guns use a lot of air. If the tank empties in a few seconds, the tube will not keep spinning.
