Intex Easy Set pool cover

Updated: 21 October 2026

An Intex Easy Set pool cover slides off when it was made for a steel rail, or tears when it was made for a smaller ring. The sheet has to grab that soft top, or a Bestway Fast Set ring. This page matches the covers to 8 ft, 10 ft and 12 ft, and says when to stop pulling. The grid is the [round pool cover comparison](/hub/swimming-pools/pool-cover-round). Peter F. used the amazon.co.uk listings in this set, plus Jacksons and Intex Support. No lab test. A purchase through our links can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

What an Easy Set cover has to grab

The top of an Easy Set or a Fast Set is an inflated ring. The hem has to come over that ring and cinch under it. A soft ring is a smaller circle, so the sheet walks off once you add air. Pump it to swimming firmness first. Intex Support says a second person walks the cover over the ring, and that sun can help vinyl stretch. Jacksons says frame winter covers slide off an Easy Set. An Easy Set cover can also be too short on steel poles. If the sheet will not pass the ring without tearing, stop. The cord method is on how to fit a round pool cover.

8 ft, 10 ft and 12 ft in this set

Intex 28020 is the 8 ft listing: 244 cm, a 30 cm overlap, about £10.34, 4.3 from 23,913, 1.42 kg. It is the best value for that Easy Set. Vinyl, polyethylene and plastic all appear. The 25 cm attribute is unused. Holes are not in the five bullets. Reviews say it fitted some 8 ft Fast Set pools and was too short for steel poles. Bestway BW58032-24 is about £11.48, a 2.40 m PVC sheet for a 2.44 m Fast Set, 4.4 from 766. UK reviews say the cord snaps. Intex 28021 is the top pick for a 10 ft Easy Set: 305 cm, about £12.99, 4.4 from 14,766. Intex 28022E is the 12 ft cover: 366 cm, about £12.89, 4.2 from 13,034.

Too tight, too loose, wrong rim

The same 10 ft cover turns up as too small and as too big, because 10 ft is not one measurement. A UK note on the 12 ft cover has a base near 12 ft and a top nearer 10 ft. Measure the outside of the inflated ring, not the carton. Too tight is a hem that will not pass. A review on 28021 describes about 2 ft torn when the sheet was forced. Stop at the first split. Too loose is the sheet falling off the lip, which reviews say about 28022E and about the Bestway cord once it snaps. Wrong rim is the steel-pole case: 28020 too short for poles, 28022E not for a 12 ft steel frame.

Drain holes, and the covers to leave

Drain holes on 28021, 28022E and the Bestway cover stop water sitting on the sheet, and they let dirt in when the fit is slack. 28020 does not name holes in the bullets. A dry lid with no holes is QWORK or the Neuradical sheet, and rain sits on those until you lift it. Leave leaf nets and the 16 ft Oxford cover off an inflatable ring. Neuradical is 5.15 kg for a 16 ft frame, at about £99.99, and Jacksons’ warning about frame covers applies. A solar bubble matches the water, not the ring. The files for 28020 and 28021 share an image URL, so do not judge the cloth from the photo. SPATA says no cover is 100 percent safe.

Common questions

Will an Intex Easy Set cover fit a Bestway Fast Set of the same size?
Sometimes, and the listing does not promise it. UK reviews of Intex 28020 say it fitted some 8 ft Bestway Fast Set pools. Reviews of 28021 include use on a Bestway around 10 ft, and returns for the wrong size. The cover that names the Fast Set is BW58032-24, a 2.40 m sheet for a 2.44 m pool. Measure the inflated ring. Shared feet are not a guarantee.
Will an Easy Set cover fit a steel-frame pool of the same feet?
Plan on no. A UK review says 28020 was too short for an 8 ft pool with steel poles. Reviews of 28022E say it does not fit 12 ft steel-frame pools. The bullets on these Intex covers name Easy Set pools. A frame pool wants a cover that can sit on a rail. The reverse is also true: Jacksons says a typical frame winter cover slides off an inflatable ring. Match the rim the listing names.
Should the top ring be fully inflated?
Yes. Set it to swimming firmness before you measure or tie the rope. A soft ring lets the sheet on and then throws it off once you add air, or it leaves the rope looking too long. Intex’s guidance says a soft ring needs more air or a tighter rope. Inflate first, then walk the sheet over with a second person. Do not use the rope to finish the pump’s job.
What do the drain holes do on a ring pool?
They let rain through so the sheet does not swamp and pull on the ring. 28021, 28022E and the Bestway cover print that job. The same holes let leaves in when the cover sits low. 28020’s bullets do not name holes, though reviewers describe them. Holes are not a seal. If you need insects and rain kept out entirely, this style of ring cover is the wrong type.
Is the black Bestway the same as a solar bubble cover?
No. BW58032-24 is a PVC debris cover with a drawstring and drain holes, sized 2.40 m for an 8 ft Fast Set, at about £11.48. A solar bubble sits on the water and is a different product. Search pages put a Fast Set solar cover near £11.90 beside this debris cover. Similar money, different job. Buy the debris cover to go over the ring.
What if the hem rips as we force it?
Stop. A torn hem does not become a fit if you keep pulling. On 28021 a review describes about 2 ft ripped when the cover was forced over the ring. Check that you measured the inflatable top, not a steel rail or the base. Sun can ease vinyl after you have stopped loading the tear. A replacement is a different size, not a harder tug on the same rope.
