Three ring pool vs Easy Set

Updated: 21 October 2026

You have two amazon.co.uk tabs open, and both say inflatable. One is a rectangular pool with stacked air rings. The other is an Intex Easy Set, a round pool with a single top ring. They fail in different ways. This three ring pool vs Easy Set page is only that fork. The order of checks is the [inflatable pool buying guide](/hub/swimming-pools/inflatable-pool/sub/inflatable-pool-buying-guide). The table is the [inflatable pool comparison](/hub/swimming-pools/inflatable-pool), from amazon.co.uk listings captured on 19 October 2026. Peter F. did not inflate both types in a lab. How each one stands up

A three-ring pool holds its shape because you inflate several chambers. GALAXYER, Olutula and Victoper each state three. An Easy Set does not have that stack. The Intex 28101NP has one top ring. Intex’s setup page says the wall rises as you fill, that you use a hand pump, and that you never use a compressor. Other ranges use Fast Set for a top-ring pool. It is 211 × 132 × 46 cm and 400 litres. A review describes two rings, and the bullets do not count them. It is not an Easy Set and it is not a Fast Set. The two sequences are on the how to set up an inflatable pool page, and they must not be swapped.

What breaks

A three-ring pool fails when a chamber is soft or when you fill until the wall folds. Olutula’s only written UK review says the sides give way if the pool is filled to the top. GALAXYER, at 3.0 from 234 reviews, includes a seam split. The repair patch is for a puncture you can reach. It does not rebuild a seam. An Easy Set fails at the single ring and at the ground. UK reviews of this 6 ft listing cite punctures and a warp on uneven ground. There is no second chamber if that ring loses air. Intex bans a compressor because a workshop airline over-inflates that one ring. If you want one valve and about 890 litres, you are in Easy Set territory. This 6 ft listing does not include a filter.

Which listing is which

The Easy Set here is Intex 28101NP, ASIN B00A8LGG86, at £31.84, title size 183 × 51 cm, age 6+. It is 4.2 from 39,036 reviews. Occupancy is listed as 1 beside a 100 kg maximum weight. GALAXYER B0DT1HW2HW at £39.99 is 205 × 125 × 45 cm, pump not included, 3.0 from 234 reviews. Olutula at £19.99 is 4.5 from two reviews, and the bullet size does not match the item cell. Victoper at £35.99 is 5.0 from one review, and the 2 m title does not match the item cell. Airoieak says “3 layer” and gives no centimetres, so it is neither column. The toddler AirSwim, which is neither build, is on the best inflatable pool page.

When to pick which

Choose the Easy Set if you want one valve, a round pool in the 183 cm class, and you will follow the hand-pump and 3 cm check. The water is about 880 to 890 litres, the age line is 6+, and there is no filter in the box. It is the wrong pick for a toddler, and the wrong pick if your only inflator is a compressor. Choose a three-ring pool if you will pump every chamber and keep the water below the fold. Bestway has 400 litres and the large review file. GALAXYER has a clear 205 × 125 cm size and a 3.0 star line. Olutula and Victoper rest on two reviews and one review, and their parcel cells disagree with the title. Choose neither for seats, a 100 litre baby pool, or a filter.

Common questions

What is the actual difference?
A three-ring pool is several air chambers you inflate until the wall stands. An Easy Set is one top ring, and the water raises the vinyl wall. In this folder the Easy Set is the Intex 28101NP. GALAXYER, Olutula and Victoper state three chambers. The Bestway 12819 is a rectangular ring pool, not an Easy Set, even though other Bestway models use a Fast Set name.
Which is quicker to put up?
The Easy Set has one ring to pump, then a wait while it fills, after a 3 cm level check. A three-ring pool needs every chamber firm before you trust the water. Quicker depends on whether you already own a pump. This Easy Set’s components line is a manual. GALAXYER and Olutula say the electric pump is not included.
Which is more likely to lean?
Both lean on a slope. The three-ring version also leans when a lower chamber is soft, which is the Olutula pattern of sides giving way at a full fill. The Easy Set leans when the ground is uneven, which is the warp UK reviews describe, and it has no second ring to hold the wall.
Does an Easy Set include a filter?
This one does not. The components line is an instruction manual. Larger Easy Sets reviewed elsewhere sometimes include a pump or a filter. A UK review of this ASIN mentions a filter with a non-UK plug. That comment is not the box list. Do not buy this 6 ft model because a different size shipped with a filter.
Is the Bestway in this set an Easy Set?
No. Model 12819 is 211 × 132 × 46 cm and 400 litres, at £34.99, and a review describes two rings. Fast Set is the sister name for Bestway’s top-ring pools, and this listing is not that construction. Compare it with other rectangular ring pools, not with the Intex 28101NP, if the shape is what you care about.
