Inflatable pool buying guide

Updated: 21 October 2026

A hot week in a British garden usually starts with the same amazon.co.uk search: an inflatable pool for a few afternoons, then packed away. Price and stars sort first, and they are a weak first check. This inflatable pool buying guide uses four questions: the type, the size when it is full, what is in the box, and how many reviews sit under the stars. The [inflatable pool comparison](/hub/swimming-pools/inflatable-pool) holds the table for the eight listings from the 19 October 2026 captures. Peter F., editor for DIY & tools, read those listings and did not fill the pools in a lab.

Start with the type, not the brand

The word inflatable covers three objects in this set. A three-ring pool is a stack of chambers: GALAXYER, Olutula and Victoper state three. Bestway 12819 is rectangular, and a review describes two rings while the bullets do not count them. The Intex Easy Set 28101NP at £31.84 has one top ring, and the wall rises as you add water. The Intex swim centre at £55.75 is a square lounge with four seats, about 2.29 m across and 0.66 m high. None of the eight boxes includes a filter pump. If you already know you want stacked rings or a single top ring, the three-ring pool or Easy Set page is the fork.

Read the in-use size and the litres

The size that matters is the pool full of water, not the parcel cell. AirSwim is about 90 × 25 cm and 100 litres at £16.99. The maximum weight recommendation is 25 pounds. Bestway is 211 × 132 × 46 cm and 400 litres at £34.99. GALAXYER is 205 × 125 × 45 cm. Olutula’s bullet is 200 × 150 × 50 cm and its item cell is 35 × 27.5 × 10 cm. Wall height is not water depth. The Easy Set title says 880 litres and the table says 890 litres. GALAXYER prints 356.6 gallons and the lounge prints 262 gallons. The files do not say which gallon, so leave them unconverted. Shallow water and emptying sit on the paddling pool garden safety page.

See what is actually in the box

A repair patch is listed for AirSwim, Victoper, GALAXYER and Olutula. It is not confirmed for Bestway, the Easy Set, the lounge or Airoieak. A patch does not stop a seam split. GALAXYER’s 3.0 from 234 reviews includes a seam that split after a child used the pool. GALAXYER, Airoieak and Olutula say the electric pump is not included. The Easy Set components line is a manual. Bestway’s line is the pool. The lounge lists two glass holders. No listing here includes a filter. Bestway, the Easy Set, Olutula, Airoieak and AirSwim name a drain. GALAXYER, Victoper and the lounge do not.

Treat the review count as part of the spec

Bestway is 4.3 from 44,525 amazon.co.uk reviews. The Easy Set is 4.2 from 39,036. The lounge is 4.0 from 19,632. AirSwim is 4.2 from 227. GALAXYER is 3.0 from 234. Victoper is 5.0 from one review, Olutula is 4.5 from two, and Airoieak is 3.6 from four. A single five-star line should not sort above a 4.3 with tens of thousands of reviews. The best inflatable pool page names who each listing is for. None of these listings names EN 71-8, EN 16582 or EN 16927. A missing standard number is not a hidden certificate.

Know the return window

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is the route when goods are not of satisfactory quality or not as described. A pool that arrives with an open seam, or a 2 m title on a tiny parcel, is that kind of problem. Film the first inflation. If the ring will not hold air before any water goes in, stop and use the order page rather than patching it first. Take the type, the in-use size, the box line and the review count back to the comparison. The price is the last column, once those four agree with the afternoon you actually have.

Common questions

What size inflatable pool fits a toddler?
In this set the toddler listing is the AirSwim, about 90 cm across and 100 litres, with a title age of 1–3 and a maximum weight recommendation of 25 pounds. A UK review says it fits one child of about one to two years. A 20 cm depth cap on a retailer guide is that retailer’s rule of thumb, not a figure on this ASIN.
Is the height on the title the water depth?
No. The height is the wall. Bestway’s wall is 46 cm and the Easy Set title wall is 51 cm. An Olutula review says a full-to-the-top fill leaks. For a baby, a few centimetres is still enough to be dangerous.
Does an inflatable pool include a pump?
Not as a rule in this folder. GALAXYER, Airoieak and Olutula say the electric pump is not included. The Easy Set box line is a manual, and Bestway’s line is the pool. One Easy Set review mentions a pump or a filter. Those comments are not the components line.
How much water am I committing to?
AirSwim states 100 litres. Bestway states 400 litres. The Easy Set title says 880 litres and the table says 890 litres. GALAXYER states 356.6 gallons and the lounge states 262 gallons, without saying which gallon. Olutula, Victoper and Airoieak do not state a capacity.
What if the item dimensions are tiny and the title says 2 m?
Read both cells. Victoper’s title says 2 m and the item cell is 39 × 13 × 30 cm. Olutula’s bullet says 200 × 150 × 50 cm and the item cell is 35 × 27.5 × 10 cm. The small cell is often the folded parcel. If the filled size does not agree, do not treat the title as the pool on the grass.
