Bosch cordless reciprocating saw buying guide

Updated: 21 October 2026

You are looking at five amazon.co.uk Bosch cordless reciprocating saw listings, and the prices in the 19 October 2026 capture run from £69.98 to £201.95. They are not five versions of one saw. The Keo is a one-handed garden saw, the PSA18V-200 is a green DIY sabre saw, the GSA 18V-24 is a compact blue Professional saw sold twice, and the GSA 18V-28 is a heavier demolition saw. None of the five boxes includes a battery or a charger. Check the job, then the packs already on your shelf, then the bare-tool price. Start with the job, not the star rating

Stars in this set sit between 4.4 and 4.8, close enough that a ranking by stars would put a garden saw next to a demolition saw. Start with the cut in front of you. Branches you can hold, within the Keo's Bosch capacity, point to the Keo at £69.98. Light DIY timber, fencing and the odd pipe, if you already own green batteries, point to the PSA18V-200 at £110.53, with 4.6 from 11 reviews. Tight access, pipework and compact site cuts on a blue platform point to the GSA 18V-24. Doors, pallets, thick timber and demolition point to the GSA 18V-28 at £201.95. A fine visible finish points to a different saw entirely, because these tools leave a reciprocating kerf. Who we would pick once the job is clear is on the best Bosch cordless reciprocating saw page.

Stay on the battery platform you already own

Every listing says 18 V. That number does not mean the packs interchange. Bosch DIY lists the Keo and the PSA18V-200 as 18 V Power for All, and recommends at least 2.0 Ah. Bosch Professional lists the GSA tools for GBA 18V and ProCORE18V packs. The GSA 18V-28 page also names AMPShare. A review on the Keo file says blue Professional packs do not fit green tools. How the coding works, including chargers, is on the Bosch green vs Professional reciprocating saw battery page.

Read the GSA 18V-24 listings as bare tool versus L-BOXX

B0FDL9WGB2 at £139.98 and B0FJRMYSP4 at £162.19 are the same compact saw in two orders. The bare listing is model 06016A5100. The amazon scope on the bare listing is two blades, S 2345 X for wood and S 922 EF for metal, with no case. The dearer listing is model 06016A5101. The extra in the box is an L-BOXX and a ladder hook kit, not a longer stroke. The gap is £22.21. Buy the bare tool if you already store saws in your own case. Buy the L-BOXX listing if you want that case and the hook in the same delivery and you will use them. The Keo's amazon price is the body-only listing, not an Argos or Wickes kit that adds a 2.0 Ah pack under a different order number.

Treat depth, RPM and weight as labelled claims

Both GSA pages state 230 mm in wood. The GSA 18V-28's 150 mm figure is metal profiles and pipes, and the manuals also state 20 mm in unalloyed steel. Pipe diameter is not a solid steel bar. The Keo's Bosch DIY page is 80 mm without the A-grip and 60 mm with it. Prefer that page over the amazon blade-length and 1,900 RPM rows. The PSA18V-200 is 200 mm in wood and 20 mm in steel on the DIY page, at 2.40 kg without a battery. Amazon prints 3.56 kg, so plan around the DIY mass. How to fit the blade and keep the shoe on the work is on the how to use a Bosch cordless reciprocating saw page.

Common questions

I already own blue batteries. Which listings can I ignore?
Ignore the Keo and the PSA18V-200. Both are Power for All tools on Bosch's DIY pages, and a Keo review says blue packs do not fit green tools. You are then choosing between the bare GSA 18V-24 at £139.98, the same saw with an L-BOXX at £162.19, and the GSA 18V-28 at £201.95.
Is the £139.98 GSA the same saw as the £162.19 GSA?
Yes. B0FDL9WGB2 is model 06016A5100, body only, with blades S 2345 X and S 922 EF and no case. B0FJRMYSP4 is model 06016A5101, with those blade types plus a ladder hook kit and an L-BOXX. The £22.21 is storage and the hook, not a second specification.
Does 18 V on the Keo mean my Professional pack will fit?
No. The Keo is listed by Bosch DIY as 18 V Power for All. Professional packs are GBA 18V, ProCORE18V and, on the GSA 18V-28 page, AMPShare. Same voltage, different coding. You would need a green pack of at least 2.0 Ah, which is not in the Keo box.
The amazon speed row says 1,900 RPM on the Keo and the GSA 18V-28. Is that the stroke rate?
No. Treat that row as a listing conflict. Bosch DIY gives the Keo 0–2,300 strokes per minute. The GSA 18V-28 manual gives 0–2,900 min⁻¹. The GSA 18V-24 UK page gives 0–3,100. Do not compare the tools on the shared 1,900 RPM cell.
Should I add a battery to the basket?
Yes, if the shelf is empty, because none of these five boxes includes one. Bosch names at least 2.0 Ah on the Keo and the PSA18V-200, at least 4.0 Ah GBA or ProCORE for maximum performance on the GSA 18V-24, and ProCORE18V of at least 5.5 Ah on the GSA 18V-28. We do not quote a made-up kit price for a twin pack.
