Best Vornado fan UK

Updated: October 2026

Searching for the best Vornado fan UK on amazon.co.uk still returns 120 V listings. In this twelve-row set, none of the Vornado-branded fans states a 220–240 V supply or a UK three-prong plug. A fit here means a stated supply you can use, plus a job the fan actually does. It is not a lab crown, and it is not a temperature drop we measured. The full table is the [Vornado fan comparison](/hub/portable-heaters/vornado-fan). Why 120 V is not British mains is on the [UK voltage page](/hub/portable-heaters/vornado-fan/sub/vornado-fan-uk-voltage). The order of checks is the [buying guide](/hub/portable-heaters/vornado-fan/sub/vornado-fan-buying-guide). The shape contrast is [Vornado fan vs tower fan](/hub/portable-heaters/vornado-fan/sub/vornado-fan-vs-tower-fan). No lab test.

What fits a UK supply in this set

Keep a row only when that ASIN states about 220–240 V, or a UK three-prong plug. Stop on 110 V, 120 V, 24 V DC or a USA-only line. Stars do not override the voltage line. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 expects goods to match the description. Electrical Safety First expects a UK 3-pin plug with a fuse on a fan discussed for UK use.

Closest listings, and the job each one actually does

The Honeywell TurboForce HT900E (B001VEJFT6) is about £35.32, at 240 V and three speeds. UK reviews praise the airflow, say the higher speeds are not quiet, and say the head does not sweep. There is no remote or timer. It suits a desk if you can see the pins. The MBSM ARD-08BB (B0GHPLTKFV) is about £49.99 at 220 V, with a 70° sweep, a remote and a 1–12 hour timer. UK reviews call the higher speeds noisy, and one remote failed early. 220 V is not a confirmed BS 1363 plug. The DREO Nomad One (B09MKPDJRT) is about £79.99 at 240 V, with a 90° sweep, a remote and an 8-hour timer. UK reviews say speeds 1 and 2 can be slept with and speeds from about 6 are loud. The connector is EEC 7/7. The bullet says eight speeds and the spec says four. The AirCraft Home Lume (B0D8QNGB3M) is about £149 and states a UK three-prong plug. Do not invent 240 V. It has 12 speeds, a remote, movement on both axes and a 12-hour timer. Several call the remote cheap, and the spec says 45 dB.

Vornado listings to skip

Skip every Vornado-branded row for UK mains: Mini Modern B08226Z7MH at 110 V, Mini Classic B0FBZDL22C, 160 B011AMZASI, 533DC B01N9XL1YB (4.7 from 605 reviews, still 120 V), 6803 OSC B0DQVKDNPD, Model 80 B0DQLWLQDS at 120 V and 120 W, and OMNIO 7 B0GMY6N7JS at 24 V DC. UK reviews say the Mini Modern is not usable, the 160 smelled of burning, the 6803 OSC should not be bought, and an electrician would not convert the Model 80. The PolyFan B0CSG46SSN prints 120.0 V. Do not relabel it. If you already opened one, unplug it and use the returns path.

If you still want the Vornado beam

If the job is a small 240 V fan tonight, start with the Honeywell and check the plug face, knowing it will not sweep. If the job is a desk with a short sweep, start with the MBSM and the same plug gap. If the job is a slim tower and you can live with EEC 7/7, the Nomad One is the tower in this set. If you will only buy a stated UK three-prong plug, the Lume is the row that prints one, with the voltage line still blank. Do not fit a step-down, a new BS 1363 plug on a 120 V motor, or a travel adaptor and call it fixed.

Common questions

Is there a Vornado in this set I can plug into a UK socket?
Not in this extract. Every Vornado-branded row is 110 V, 120 V or 24 V DC, or it carries a USA-only line. A 4.7 on the 533DC does not change that. The closer rows are other brands, and each still has a limit.
Which listings state 220 V or 240 V?
The Honeywell HT900E states 240 V. The MBSM states 220 V. The DREO Nomad One states 240 V. The PolyFan spec says 120.0 V, so it is not in this group. A stated voltage is not a stated BS 1363 plug.
Why is a UK three-prong plug on the Lume not the same as a printed 240 V line?
The Lume spec states the plug and does not state the voltage. You cannot fill in 240 V from a blank line. The Honeywell is the opposite: 240 V is printed, and the plug face is not.
Why does the DREO tower’s 240 V spec still leave a plug problem?
The Nomad One connector is EEC 7/7, not a BS 1363 13 A plug. That is a plug-face problem on a fan whose voltage is in the UK range. It is a different problem from a 120 V Vornado motor. A 4.6 from 47,486 reviews does not hide the connector.
Which Vornado ASINs should I skip even if the stars are high?
Skip Mini Modern B08226Z7MH, Mini Classic B0FBZDL22C, 160 B011AMZASI, 533DC B01N9XL1YB, 6803 OSC B0DQVKDNPD, Model 80 B0DQLWLQDS and OMNIO 7 B0GMY6N7JS. Also skip PolyFan B0CSG46SSN while the spec says 120.0 V. A US desk story is not a UK socket.
Is the cheapest 240 V fan the one that sweeps?
No. The cheapest stated 240 V fan here is the Honeywell at about £35.32, and UK reviews say it tilts and does not sweep. The MBSM, at about £49.99 and 220 V, has a 70° sweep, and its plug face is still unstated.
What if I only want air on a desk, not a whole room?
Look at the Honeywell if 240 V and a tilt are enough, or the MBSM if you want a short sweep and a timer and you can check the plug. The metal VFAN Minis are listed at 110–120 V, so they drop out first. Neither closer desk fan is a confirmed BS 1363 listing.
