Best 9kW fan heater

Updated: 21 October 2026

You already accept a 400 V heater, and you want a name for the workshop socket rather than a 2 kW domestic fan heater. The best 9kW fan heater in this amazon.co.uk set is the listing whose printed lines match that socket, with a stated reason to leave the others. Peter F. updated this page on 20 October 2026. The scores are on the [9 kW fan heater comparison](/hub/portable-heaters/9kw-fan-heater). These heaters were not run in a lab, and a short review file is not a reliability record. What best means in this set

This page ranks only the seven listings kept from amazon.co.uk. Best here means the row for someone who already has a matching socket and wants a printed safety line. It is not a universal winner. A Broughton IFH9 was listed at £164.64 including VAT, and a Master B9 sat around £189 to £193 including VAT. Neither is in this comparison. Tony Antrobus, on 17 December 2025, said the top pick warms a workshop and named no fault. Two of the three ratings have no text.

Top pick and best value

The top pick is the DAHTEC BG-C9/3, B0FFYN7MW8, at £105.03. Amazon.co.uk shows 5.0 from 3 ratings, and only one rating has words. Choose it when you want the cheapest kept heater that still carries the fuller set of printed safety lines. The thermostat fields both say 40 °C, which is why it is not a clean win. The best value is the black DAHTEC IFHO3-90-G, B0FFY26283, at £126.65, as that black body, not as a cheaper heater than the BG-C9/3. There is no review line. The silver IFHO3-90-G, B0FFYGZPHR, is the same model at £149.00. The extra does not buy a tip-over line or a review file.

Sealey and SIP

The Sealey EH9001, B005KKMEVS, is £188.99. Amazon prints 80 m³, a tip-over line, 16 A and 415 V, and it does not print a 4,500 W step. Sealey’s own page prints 4,500 W and 9,000 W, and a plug described as “Red - 16A-4P+E”, at £191.94 including VAT with no reviews. Amazon shows 1.0 from 1 with no review text. The amazon mounting field says tabletop and the maker instructions say upright. How you stand it belongs on the how to use a 9kW fan heater page. The Sealey PEH9001, B06XSMJGFJ, is £153.96. The title says PTC. Amazon prints 10 x 10 x 10 mm and 21.69 A, which is not a size you can plan a bench around. The SIP Turbofan 9001, B0D9HMPKD3, is £178.54, with a 16 A plug and a two-minute cool-down on Amazon. SIP’s page for item 09299 prints the 4.5 kW step.

The £69 listing

The DAHTEC BGP1506-09, B0FFYTYBSQ, is £69.00, with 2.9 from 6. The page prints a 6 kW step and then disagrees with itself on ceramic versus coil. Luke, on 5 January 2026, described a six-pin plug and called the heater “not useable” on UK mains. Mr Rj Mcnamara, on 4 January 2026, expected a UK plug and received an industrial 13 A 3-pin plug. Matthew Wilson, on 19 January 2026, uses one in a factory. One factory note does not cancel two plug complaints. The saving against £105.03 is real only if the plug matches a socket you already have. The field order is on the 9kW fan heater buying guide.

Common questions

Which 9 kW fan heater is the top pick in this set, and why is that not a lab test?
The top pick is the DAHTEC BG-C9/3, B0FFYN7MW8, at £105.03. It has the most printed safety lines in this set, plus one workshop note from 17 December 2025 that reports heat and no fault. Peter F. did not measure it. Amazon.co.uk shows 5.0 from 3, and two ratings have no text. That is a reading of the listing, not a laboratory result.
Who should skip the DAHTEC BG-C9/3?
Skip it if you need a sentence that rejects a 13 A socket, a coverage figure, or dimensions. Both thermostat fields say 40 °C, so skip it if you need a band you can turn down. It suits someone who already has a matching 400 V socket and wants the £105.03 row. Three ratings, only one of them written, are not a reliability record.
Is the black IFHO3-90-G a better buy than the silver one?
Yes, if you want that model. The black IFHO3-90-G, B0FFY26283, is £126.65. The silver listing, B0FFYGZPHR, is the same model at £149.00. Neither page has a review line. Skip the black page if you need a tip-over sentence. Paying more for silver does not fill that gap. Against the BG-C9/3, the black heater is the best value only as this body.
Should I buy the £69 heater?
Buy the BGP1506-09 only if a listing that disagrees with itself on ceramic versus coil is acceptable, and only if a mismatched plug would not strand you. It is £69.00, with 2.9 from 6. Two January 2026 reviews describe a six-pin plug or an industrial 13 A 3-pin plug. A third review likes it in a factory. Six reviews are not a reliability record.
What is the SIP Turbofan 9001 missing on the amazon listing?
The amazon file for B0D9HMPKD3, at £178.54, prints a 2-year warranty, a 16 A plug, tilt protection, a two-minute cool-down and a 9 kW maximum. It does not print the 4.5 kW step, the 52 W fan, an IP code, or any reviews. Those lower wattages are on SIP’s page for item 09299, not in the amazon table. Item 09293 is a different Turbofan and does not fill this gap.
What is wrong with reading the Sealey EH9001 one-star line as unfit?
Amazon.co.uk shows 1.0 from 1 on B005KKMEVS, at £188.99, and there is no review text. A star with no words does not say what failed, so it is not a finding that the heater is unfit. Skip it if you need that written reason, or 4,500 W printed on Amazon rather than only on Sealey’s page. The mounting field says tabletop while the maker instructions say upright.
Which Sealey is the PTC model, and are Broughton and Master included?
The PEH9001, B06XSMJGFJ, at £153.96, is the Sealey whose title says PTC. The EH9001 listing does not print PTC. The PEH9001 size line of 10 x 10 x 10 mm is not a figure to plan around. Broughton IFH9 and Master B9 are not in this amazon.co.uk set. Their trade prices sit in the same money. They are not ranked here.
