The best Pool skimmer nets, compared.
Top pick: 4BAOHUI 175 cm deep-bag net – Highest score in this comparison, 9.4 out of 10, from 51 amazon.co.uk reviews. Best value: TidyMister 12 inch spa net – Lowest shelf price in the set, about £6.09, with 4.6 from 2,108 reviews, for a spa or paddling pool. Updated 16.10.2026.
Leaves and insects collect on the surface, and a wall-skimmer basket does not lift them off a paddling pool or a pond. A pool skimmer net is the hand tool for that job: a frame, a mesh scoop or bag, and a pole. You separate the listings by reach you can use, by whether the mesh stays on the frame, and by whether the pole still clips after a few weeks. Rank in Pool is not a strength test on its own. Short tools here are a 12 inch pole or about 60 cm overall. Sectional claims run from about 150 cm to 204 cm. The net will not vacuum silt or dose the water. The [pool skimmer net buying guide](/hub/pool-care/pool-skimmer-net/sub/pool-skimmer-net-buying-guide) sets out reach, mesh and bag shape. Each score is the star line times 20. You use it to lift leaves and insects from a pool, a hot tub or a garden pond. The households are summer above-ground and paddling-pool owners, spa owners, and pond keepers.

Question 1 of 2
Where are you skimming from?
4BAOHUI B0GX9H54HP is listed at £9.89. The bullets describe a stainless pole to 155 cm, 175 cm with the head, a 40 by 16.5 cm opening, a 35 cm bag, and a weight of 600 g. The colour field is printed as 175, which is the length figure, not a colour. The file prints 4.8 from 51 reviews and rank 2 in Pool Skimmers. That review text is identical to ASIN B0FRFV7NPT, so the 51 reviews are not a separate group. The shared comments say the mesh is fine, the pole bends at full length and springs back, and the neck feels close to snapping.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A deeper bag on a stainless pole, if you treat the 51 reviews as one shared sample with the other 4BAOHUI listing.
Less suitable: A hard stroke at full length, or anyone counting 4.8 from 51 as a second, separate review set.
Specifications
Common questions
How is the 175 cm figure split?
The bullets say four stainless tubes reach 155 cm, and 175 cm once the skimmer head is fitted. The bag opening is 40 by 16.5 cm with a stated depth of 35 cm.
Do the reviews belong only to this ASIN?
The review text in this raw file is the same block as B0FRFV7NPT. Both files print 4.8 from 51 reviews. Treat them as one captured sample.
Does the listing say it scratches a liner?
The bullets say the plastic frame is meant to avoid scratches. There is no test in the file. Reviews in the shared block say the pole gives at full length.
4BAOHUI B0FRFV7NPT is £9.89, model 4-UK-YONGCHI-LAOWANG, with a stated reach of 1.85 m, a head of 27 cm by 23.5 cm, and a weight of 400 g. The dimension field reads 20 × 15 × 3 cm, which is not the reach. The listing says the pole will not bend and that no tools are needed. The captured reviews are the same text as B0GX9H54HP, including 4.8 from 51 and rank 2 in Pool Skimmers. Those comments praise the mesh and also say the pole flexes at full length. The two ASINs are different model numbers. The reviews do not say which head arrived.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A longer stainless kit if the head that arrives is the 27 by 23.5 cm one this listing describes.
Less suitable: Anyone relying on the no-bend line, or trying to tell this head from the other 4BAOHUI using the shared reviews.
Specifications
Common questions
What head size does this listing give?
The bullets say 27 cm by 23.5 cm. They do not give a bag depth in centimetres. The other 4BAOHUI ASIN in this set states 40 by 16.5 cm and 35 cm deep.
Is assembly tool-free?
The bullets say no tools: screw the stainless sections together. The raw file also says the sections come apart for storage.
Will the pole bend?
The bullets say the stainless pole will not bend or break under load. The shared reviews say it gives at full length and then springs back.
TidyMister B0CL8YYZXR is £6.09, model T638F, with 4.6 from 2,108 reviews and rank 6 in Pool Skimmers. It is a short aluminium-pole net. The bullets give 11 inches wide by 25 inches long including the pole, and a depth of 5 inches. The weight field is 160 g. The listing says the mesh is ultra fine and safe on fibreglass, vinyl, and concrete. UK reviews praise it for paddling pools, spas, and very small debris, including hair and bugs. The large review count still includes a frame that broke on the second use. The warranty sentence in the raw file is masked with asterisks, so no guarantee length is recorded.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A paddling pool or spa where you want a fine mesh for hair and bugs and you can reach the water with a 12 inch pole.
Less suitable: A wide pool that needs a long pole, or a second season if the frame has already cracked.
Specifications
Common questions
How big is the TidyMister net?
The bullets say 11 inches wide by 25 inches long, and that length includes the pole, with a depth of 5 inches. The pole itself is described as 12 inches.
Is it only for a hot tub?
The title and bullets name hot tubs, spas, and small pools, and say it is gentle on fibreglass, vinyl, and concrete. Reviews use it on paddling pools. One review uses it for quick scoops on a 21 ft pool, not as a full-reach pole.
Do reviews mention breakage?
Most of the English sample is positive about the mesh and the price. One review says the frame arrived in flimsy packaging and broke the second time it was used.
CNMTCCO B0FBGPQ9NS is £10.99, 4.6 from 182 reviews, and rank 41 in Pool Skimmers, with a Garden rank of 34,248. The bullets say a reinforced aluminium pole of 204 cm, a click joint, a nylon fine mesh, rounded corners, and a weight of 460 g. Dimensions are 45 × 33 × 7 cm. The model field is printed as Pool Kescher. English UK reviews praise the long reach and the option to shorten it. One says other heads fit the same pole, without a diameter. One describes a hollow handle that fills with water. The file also contains reviews in German and Italian. Those are not UK evidence. Saltwater is asked in the raw file and not answered.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A garden pool where you want a long pole you can shorten, and you keep the handle from filling on a deep scoop.
Less suitable: A saltwater pool, which the listing does not answer, or anyone treating the non-UK reviews as British evidence.
Specifications
Common questions
How long is the CNMTCCO pole?
The title and bullets say 204 cm, also written as 2.04 m and 6.7 ft. Reviews say you can fit fewer sections and keep it shorter.
Can it be used in a saltwater pool?
The raw file asks that question. The bullets do not answer it. Saltwater compatibility is not stated.
Why does one review say the handle soaks you?
A UK review says there are holes at the top and the handle is hollow, so it fills when you scoop under the surface and then runs out over you.
LATERN B0C378NJJH is £8.99, green, 4.5 from 493 reviews, rank 12 in Pool Skimmers. The bullets say a 30 cm aluminium rod, 60 cm total, a net 30 cm by 28 cm, a snap button, and a weight of 150 g. The dimension field is 15 × 10 × 20 cm. The only image URL in the raw file is a small thumbnail. UK reviews praise the fine mesh on spas and paddling pools. The repeated complaint is length: 60 cm includes the head, there is no long telescopic handle, and the tool is too short for a wide pool. The bullets print a design patent number, 6294640, which was not checked on a register.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A spa, hot tub, or paddling pool you can reach with a tennis-racket length of about 60 cm including the net.
Less suitable: A wide pool that needs a long handle.
Specifications
Common questions
Does 60 cm mean the handle?
The bullets say the rod is 30 cm and the total is 60 cm, with a net 30 cm by 28 cm. A UK review says 60 cm includes the net and compares the tool to a tennis racket.
Where do reviews say it works?
They name a lazy spa, a hot tub, a small pond, and a paddling pool. They also say it is the wrong length for a pool that needs a long handle.
Is there a telescopic pole?
A review says there is no telescopic handle. The bullets describe a snap button and a rod you can remove to make the net shorter.
KAHEIGN B0CXHL1QKL is £9.99, green, 4.5 from 359 reviews, rank 4 in Pool Skimmers. The bullets specify four 30 cm aluminium poles, 150 cm in total, a 30 by 28 cm net, a snap button, and a weight of 250 g. The dimension field is 15 × 10 × 20 cm. UK reviews in the sample are mostly from ponds: leaves, duckweed, and fine debris, including a 10 ft summer pool. One review calls it tiny and flimsy for a swimming pool. The bullets claim curved edges will not damage the pool. That claim is not tested in the file.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A garden pond or a 10 ft summer pool for leaves and duckweed, with sections you can leave off.
Less suitable: A full swimming pool, where a review called the same net tiny.
Specifications
Common questions
How long is each KAHEIGN pole?
The bullets say four aluminium poles of 30 cm, and a total of 150 cm. The net is 30 cm by 28 cm. You can leave sections off.
What do pond reviews say?
UK reviews use it for leaves, duckweed, and small debris on garden ponds, and one calls the mesh gaps tiny. Another calls the same style of net tiny for a swimming pool and better for a goldfish tank.
What is the 15 by 10 by 20 cm figure?
That is the product-dimension field. It is not the 150 cm reach in the bullets.
Aquatix Pro B0B5GPQLSY is £9.95, with 4.5 from 289 reviews and rank 3 in Pool Skimmers. It is a hand leaf skimmer with a 12 inch aluminium pole, a deep nylon bag, and a package weight of 150 g. The bullets say it suits spas, hot tubs, ponds, and small to medium above-ground pools. UK reviews call the mesh tight enough for tiny insects on an 8 ft or 10 ft paddling pool, and they also say the handle is too short to reach deep or across a larger pool. One review says the plastic frame feels cheap and that it has not rusted outdoors so far. There is no model number in the file.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A spa, hot tub, pond, or low 8 ft to 10 ft paddling pool where you can reach the leaves with a 12 inch pole.
Less suitable: Reaching the middle of a wider garden pool, or anyone who needs a named model number.
Specifications
Common questions
Does the Aquatix pole extend?
No. The listing is a 12 inch aluminium pole. UK reviews say it does not extend and that a longer handle would help on a paddling pool.
What mesh do the reviews describe?
The bullets say an ultra-fine deep bag of woven nylon. Reviews say it catches tiny bugs that other nets missed, on paddling pools and hot tubs.
Which pools is it listed for?
The bullets name spas, hot tubs, ponds, inflatables, fountains, and small to medium above-ground pools. A review says not to take it much beyond an inflatable or a hot tub.
The Jsdoin listing B0D2KRKT6S is £9.99 on the captured amazon.co.uk page, with 4.4 from 1,051 reviews and rank 1 in Pool Skimmers. The title says a 160 cm net and 4 aluminium poles. The bullets say five parts, 161 cm, a 1.24 m rod, and a net 30 cm by 27.5 cm. The weight field is 230 g and the dimension field is 38 × 28 × 3 cm. UK reviews in the file use it on 12 ft and 14 ft pools and on ponds for duckweed. They also say the pole bends if you force it, and one household replaced the net more than once because the mesh or the rod end failed.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A 12 ft or 14 ft garden pool or a pond with duckweed, if you stroke slowly and accept the length clash on the listing.
Less suitable: A fast stroke, or anyone who needs the title and the bullets to name the same pole count.
Specifications
Common questions
How long is the Jsdoin 160 cm net?
The title says 160 cm and 4 aluminium poles. The bullets say five parts, 161 cm in total, each part 31 cm, with a rod of 1.24 m and a net of 30 cm by 27.5 cm.
What do UK reviews say about a 12 ft or 14 ft pool?
One review says it reached the middle of a 14 ft pool. Another used it on a 12 ft pool and still wished for a larger net. A fast stroke is what reviewers say the pole dislikes.
Does the listing include a hanging hook?
The bullets say sections can be left off. They do not name a hanging hole.
Epesl B0GT2W67QQ is £14.96, model 183Skr2026-UK, 4.4 from 109 reviews, rank 7 in Pool Skimmers. The bullets say four aluminium snap poles, 70 cm to 182 cm with the net, and a plastic head of 39 cm by 28 cm with fine mesh. The weight is 320 g. The dimension field includes 182.88 cm, which matches the stated maximum rather than a parcel. The file has 28 review texts. They are mostly short and positive, including length you can set. One reviewer returned a unit that arrived damaged and called it flimsy. Another said silt on the floor of an 8 ft pool stayed behind. The scratch-prevention line is a listing claim only.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A garden pool where you want to shorten a snap pole between 70 cm and 182 cm, if you check the frame on arrival.
Less suitable: Fine silt on the floor, or anyone who needs a tougher frame than the damaged unit in the reviews.
Specifications
Common questions
What lengths does Epesl state?
The bullets say 70 cm minimum and 182 cm maximum with the net, using four detachable snap poles. The head is 39 cm by 28 cm.
Does it pick up silt?
A UK review on an 8 ft pool says it picked up debris but not very fine silt, and the reviewer planned a vacuum. The listing does not claim to vacuum.
Can the head come off the pole?
The bullets say an ergonomic clip so the head can be removed, and hangable ends for storage.
Jsdoin B0BXPG1GJX is £9.99, blue, model ADLQ80623, 4.2 from 3,148 reviews, rank 9 in Pool Skimmers. It has been on the listing since 1 May 2019. The title says five sections and 48 inches. The bullets say 160 cm, then also 24 cm sections, a 1.2 m rod, a 30 cm by 30 cm net, and a 10 cm top link. Weight is 270 g. Dimensions are 30 × 4 × 40 cm. The first 50 UK reviews call it light, quick to build, and good value on paddling pools and hot tubs. They also describe flex, a section that would not attach, and the mesh leaving the frame. One reviewer could not reach the middle of a 15 foot pool after discarding a section.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A paddling pool or hot tub where a light five-section net is enough and you can spare a section that will not click.
Less suitable: The middle of a 15 foot pool, or a mesh you expect to stay on the frame past the early weeks.
Specifications
Common questions
Which length figure should you trust?
The title says a 48 inch, 5-section pole. The bullets say 160 cm, and also that each part is 24 cm, the rod is 1.2 m, the net is 30 cm by 30 cm, and the top link is 10 cm. Those sums are not the same.
What fails in the reviews?
In the first 50 reviews, people praise the price and the light build. They also report flex, a section that would not fit, and mesh coming off the frame after about six weeks.
Does it come with a pole?
Yes. The bullets describe the aluminium pole and a button joint. The raw file asks that question and the bullets answer it by describing the pole.
Honeueuen B0GVDNGTN6 is £6.98, blue, 3.9 from 12 reviews, rank 8 in Pool Skimmers. The title says a telescopic aluminium pole up to 185 cm and a heavy-duty deep bag. Package size is 43.1 × 30.3 × 4.6 cm and 330 g. There is no model number and no section count. Nine review texts are in the file. Two call it weak or broken at first use. One pop-up-pool review says the pole is sectional, not telescopic, and the net is shallow rather than the deep bag in the pictures. Short reviews also say it is sturdy, cheap, and able to catch small specks. The title and that review are both kept.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A pop-up pool only if the net that arrives matches the pictures and you can return a unit that is shallow or already split.
Less suitable: Anyone buying the title words telescopic and deep bag as a description of the item in the box.
Specifications
Common questions
Is the pole telescopic?
The title and bullets say a telescopic aluminium pole up to 185 cm. A UK review says the sections clip together rather than telescope.
Is the bag deep?
The title says a heavy-duty deep bag. The same review says the net is shallow compared with the images, and that the shallow shape is easier to empty.
How many reviews mention a break?
The listing shows 3.9 from 12 reviews, and the file has nine texts. Two say it was weak or broke at the first use. Others say it does the job on a pop-up pool.
Cozii B0DXW37GZP is £11.79, model PL-NT-5, 3.5 from 618 reviews, rank 20 in Pool Skimmers. The title says five aluminium sections, 64 inches, and an ultra-fine mesh. The bullets put the net at about 9.7 by 10.6 inches. The dimension field is 26.92 × 3.2 × 139.7 cm and the weight is 299 g. Positive reviews call it light and, on a 15 ft pool, the right size if you move slowly. The first 50 reviews also repeat a pattern: the mesh leaves the frame, the plastic thread snaps and stays inside the next tube, and the pole top breaks. One reviewer said it was not worth £14. The captured shelf price is £11.79.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A slow surface pass on a 15 ft pool only if the plastic thread and the mesh stay attached.
Less suitable: Anyone who has read the repeated snap and mesh-off pattern in the first 50 reviews.
Specifications
Common questions
How long is the Cozii pole?
The title says 11 inches by 64 inches and five sections. The bullets say the longest size is 64 inches and the net is about 9.7 by 10.6 inches. The dimension field is 139.7 cm on the long axis, which is not 64 inches.
What breaks in the reviews?
In the first 50 reviews, several say the plastic thread snapped, the mesh corner pulled away, or the pole top broke inside the head, sometimes within a day or a month.
Is the mesh ultra fine?
The title says ultra fine. One review says the holes were too big for small rubbish. Another says the holes are very small. Both are in the file.
Twelve pool skimmer net listings on amazon.co.uk were compared from the captured pages: shelf price, stated reach, pole and mesh, and the review themes in those files. The score on each row is the star average times 20. It is not a lab score. The top pick is the rank 1 listing in Pool Skimmers in this capture. The best value is the lowest price with a large review count. Weights are reach 30, pole 20, mesh and bag 25, and review evidence with price 25.
Reach you can use
30%The stated length has to be a reach you can use from the side you stand on. A 12 inch pole and a 60 cm tool that includes the head are spa and paddling-pool lengths. Sectional claims in this set run from about 150 cm to 204 cm. Title length is not automatically the handle length.
Pole style
20%Snap-together aluminium is the usual kit. Two listings describe stainless sections you screw together. A telescopic title often means clip-together sections, which is how one review describes the Honeueuen pole.
Mesh and bag
25%Fine has no millimetre figure in this set. A shallow net is a quick surface pass. A deep bag holds a heavier load and can reach the floor. The net does not vacuum silt.
Review evidence and price
25%Stars and review counts are the amazon.co.uk lines. A large count at a low shelf price weighs more than a shared 51-review block printed on two ASINs. Price is the captured GBP shelf price, from about £6.09 to about £14.96.
A pool skimmer net is a hand tool for leaves and insects on a pool, hot tub or garden pond. The shoppers in this set buy on amazon.co.uk between about £6 and £15. Quality shows up in the length figure, the mesh and the clips, not in the Pool Skimmers rank on its own. A shallow net is a surface pass. A deep bag holds more. The net does not dose the water or vacuum silt.
A pool skimmer net is a hand tool: a frame, a mesh scoop or bag, and a pole. You use it to lift leaves and insects from a pool, a hot tub or a garden pond. The households in this comparison are summer above-ground and paddling-pool owners, spa owners, and pond keepers. They buy on amazon.co.uk in a band of about £6 to £15. Captured shelf prices, not a live refresh, start at about £6.09 for the TidyMister net and about £6.98 for Honeueuen, which has 12 reviews. LATERN is about £8.99.
A stated 60 cm can include the net. A UK review of the LATERN listing says 60 cm includes the head and compares the tool to a tennis racket. The bullets put the rod at 30 cm and the total at 60 cm. Check which figure is the pole before you match it to the pool.
TidyMister is 4.6 from 2,108 reviews at about £6.09, and the pole is 12 inches. Reviews use it on paddling pools and spas. A 21 ft comment is a quick scoop, not a full-reach pole. Aquatix Pro is the same class of handle: reviews say it does not extend.
The Honeueuen title says a telescopic deep bag. A review says clip-together sections and a shallow net. Forcing a fine mesh until the joint snaps is the other failure: Cozii reviews repeat mesh leaving the frame and a plastic thread that snaps. A failed net at this price is a seller and Consumer Rights Act question, not a reason to keep stroking.
Reach is the first cut because a strong star line on a short pole does not cross a garden pool. Short nets here are the Aquatix Pro and TidyMister 12 inch poles, and the LATERN net at 60 cm total. A UK review says that 60 cm includes the net. Sectional claims sit at about 150–161 cm for KAHEIGN and both Jsdoin listings, 175–185 cm for both 4BAOHUI listings and Honeueuen, 182 cm for Epesl, and 204 cm for CNMTCCO. The rank 1 Jsdoin title says 160 cm and 4 poles.
Fine has no millimetre figure in this folder. Cozii reviews both praise small holes and say the holes were too big, and the first 50 reviews repeat the mesh leaving the frame. A deep bag holds a heavier load and can reach the floor. A flat scoop has less drag. The 4BAOHUI 175 cm bullets state a 35 cm bag. The 185 cm listing states a 27 by 23.5 cm head and no bag depth. TidyMister states a depth of 5 inches. Honeueuen’s title says a deep bag and a review says the net is shallow.
Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.
You skim from the side of a 12 ft or 14 ft pool and you can stroke slowly. The Jsdoin 160 cm net is the rank 1 listing at about £9.99. The title and the bullets do not agree on pole count, and reviews say the pole bends if you force it.
You can reach the water with a short pole, and you want a fine mesh for hair and bugs. The TidyMister 12 inch spa net is about £6.09 with 4.6 from 2,108 reviews. It is too short for a wide pool.
You are lifting leaves, duckweed and fine debris, including on a 10 ft summer pool. The KAHEIGN 150 cm net is about £9.99 with 4.5 from 359 reviews. One review calls the same style of net tiny for a full swimming pool. A fine mesh is unselective if you are trying to leave wildlife in the water.
The top pick is 4BAOHUI 175 cm deep-bag net, with the highest score in this comparison (9.4 out of 10, from 51 amazon.co.uk reviews). The best value is the TidyMister 12 inch spa net at about £6.09, with 4.6 from 2,108 reviews, for a paddling pool or spa you can reach with a short pole. A higher star line is not the top pick: both 4BAOHUI listings print 4.8 from 51 and the same review text. The net does not dose the water or vacuum silt.
