Above ground pool robot

Updated: 21 October 2026

An above-ground pool in a UK garden is usually a flat liner inside a kit wall, and the robot has to come back over that wall when the cycle ends. An above ground pool robot from this amazon.co.uk set is a floor match first and a lift second, unless the listing claims the walls and allows your shape. These shelf rows are from 19 October 2026. This is not a lab test. The whole set is on the [pool robot comparison](/hub/pool-care/pool-robot). If you buy through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Read the square metres and the floor sentence

Above ground in a title is not a size. BW58864, at about £151.20, states flat above-ground pools up to 18 m², rounds to 4.88 m and rectangles or ovals to 5.49 m. In this set it is the best value when that sentence matches. The G200 on Bestway’s UK shop is a different model and says it is not for steel-wall pools. Do not paste that onto BW58864. One UK review of a larger steel-wall oval is one owner’s pool, not a new limit. The POOLPURE rows state flat pools up to 90 m² and exclude heavy wrinkles. One green-row review needed two runs on a 24 ft by 12 ft pool. Measure the water, then read the exclusion.

The light floor robots

The lifts that clear a typical kit wall are 3.57 kg on the Bestway and 3.8 kg on the POOLPURE rows. None claims the walls. The Bestway is 4.4 from 268, and UK reviews mention small above-ground floors plus a finish in the middle. The AquaGuard is about £139, 3.4 from 60, with a wheel off and a failed charge in the notes, and a park-at-5% claim. The white RPC-100A can throw debris back. The green row is a separate ASIN at 2.8 from 13. Inside 18 m², the Bestway sentence is the tight one. On a larger flat floor without heavy wrinkles, the POOLPURE sentence reaches 90 m². A second Bestway pass waits on a charge of up to 4.5 hours. Keep a pole on the deck either way.

A wall climber on a kit pool

Both EVERCROSS rows exclude round and oval pools. On the comparison scores the U8-UK3 is the top pick, at about £339.99 and 10.5 kg, and a round kit is still outside that sentence. The U8-2026 is 12 kg. Wet weight is not stated, so the lift over a top rail is heavier than the dry figure. The WYBOT title says in-ground pools up to 65 ft, while the item-type field says Above Ground Pool and the power field says ac. That is not a certificate for a flexible round side. The AIPER row, B0DP6JFJPV, claims walls and states no size. A corded Dolphin is a different design, with a cable during the cycle. A rectangle those bullets allow is a choice on the pool robot floor or walls page.

Getting it out over the wall

Bestway reviews often end in the middle. One says the hook came without a pole, and that tipping the water back brings the dirt with it. Empty the basket outside the wall. POOLPURE claims a park at 5%. UK reviews still include a mid-pool cut-out. The U8-UK3 does not state how you get it out. Stand on the ground, not the top rail, and do not swim the robot out. These listings do not say that is safe. RoSPA still wants a childproof fence and a self-locking gate. A robot on the floor is not that fence. The charge routine is on how to use a robotic pool cleaner.

Common questions

Will any cordless robot do an above-ground pool?
No. The Bestway row states flat above-ground pools up to 18 m². The POOLPURE rows state flat pools up to 90 m² and exclude heavy wrinkles. The EVERCROSS rows exclude round and oval pools. The AIPER row does not state a size. Cordless and above ground are not the same sentence. Match the floor and the shape before you match the price.
What size does the Bestway row actually state?
BW58864 states flat-bottom above-ground pools up to 18 m², rounds up to 4.88 m across, and rectangles or ovals up to 5.49 m long. The run is 30 minutes and the weight is 3.57 kg, at about £151.20, with 4.4 from 268 reviews. In this set it is the best value when that cap fits. The G200’s 50 m² and steel-wall line belong to a different Bestway model. Do not paste them onto this ASIN.
What if the liner is wrinkled?
The POOLPURE bullets say the robot is not for heavy wrinkles. A few bumps appear in a Bestway UK review as something that robot coped with. A folded floor is a different problem. If the liner is creased enough to stop a robot, smooth what you can, or stay with a pole vacuum. Do not read 90 m² as permission to ignore the wrinkle line.
Can the EVERCROSS go in a round Bestway pool?
The bullets say no. Both the U8-UK3 and the U8-2026 are for rectangular or square pools and are not compatible with round or oval designs. A round kit pool stays with a floor robot whose shape sentence allows a round, inside that robot’s area cap, or with a different cleaner entirely. The top pick on the comparison scores does not cancel that ban.
How do I lift 12 kg over the top rail?
The U8-2026’s dry weight is 12 kg, and wet weight is not stated, so the lift is heavier with a full 6 litre basket. Plan two people and a hook from the deck side, not a climb on the rail. If that lift is unrealistic, stay with the 3.57 kg Bestway or a 3.8 kg POOLPURE when the floor sentence matches. A wall claim you cannot retrieve is a robot left in the middle.
