Intex SX925 vs SX1500

Updated: 21.10.2026

You have a 10 ft frame pool. Intex SX925 vs SX1500 is that choice, with one trap: two SX925 listings sit on amazon.co.uk, and one of them is 120 V. The small tank is enough when your water is inside the published SX925 ceiling and the unit is 220–240 V. The SX1500 is the one to buy when you want the 38 mm six-way pump and you will fit adaptors if the pool is still 32 mm. The [Intex sand filter](/hub/pool-care/intex-sand-filter) comparison keeps the larger rows. A qualifying amazon.co.uk purchase can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Three listings, two model classes

The SX925 class is two ASINs. B09T71Y1ZC, model 26642BS, is about £109.99 and 4.1 from 96 reviews. It names 6.5 kg of silica, not included, and it does not state a voltage. B099LRF8ZK, model 26641EG, is about £141.28. The table says 120 V, with 925 gallons per hour at the pump and pools up to 4,500 gallons. UK reviews describe a US plug. Reject that code for a UK socket. The Intex sand filter UK plug page is that case. The SX1500 is one listing. B07FB5JSVD, model 26644BS, is about £131.09 and 4.4 from 100, with 220–240 V in the title. The about £109.99 page never states the supply. If 26642BS is marked 220–240 V, you then have a real small-class comparison.

Tank, sand, valve and hose

Splash and Relax lists SX925 26642BS with a 203 mm tank, a four-way valve, 6.5 kg of sand and pools up to 16,805 litres. The amazon bullet names filter, backwash, recirculate and drain. Rinse is not in that list. The SX1500 states a 10 inch tank, 12 kg of No. 20 silica or 8.5 kg of glass, and two 38 mm hoses. The valve names filter, backwash, rinse, recirculate, drain and close. Intex's hose table puts the SX925 on 32 mm and the SX1500 on 38 mm. If you will not fit an adaptor, a 32 mm pool and a 38 mm hose are a mismatch. Media and hose checks are on the Intex sand filter buying guide.

A 10 ft pool, then a larger one

Splash and Relax caps the SX925 class at 16,805 litres. Reviewers name 10 ft pools, but the litres on your pool label decide, not the diameter in the name. Inside that ceiling, and only on a confirmed 220–240 V SX925, the small tank is the case those owners describe. The about £109.99 listing cannot confirm the supply. The 120 V SX925 stays the wrong supply when 4,500 gallons looks small. Buy the SX1500 when the pool is past that ceiling, or when you want rinse and 38 mm hoses. Amazon states up to 29.1 m³ for B07FB5JSVD. Poolpro prints about 19,156 litres. Do not merge them. Otherwise buy B07FB5JSVD if you can use 38 mm hoses or adaptors.

What this page will not stretch to

SX2100 and the 2,800 GPH unit are outside this pair. B0FD5CF5C8 at about £219.07 prints 120 V, so it is not the next size up for a UK socket. B07FB82128 at about £194.49 states 220–240 V, and its flow lines do not agree. If the pool is beyond both ceilings, that larger listing stays on the main comparison. Which row to keep after the voltage cut is the best Intex sand filter page.

Common questions

Is a 10 ft pool inside the SX925 ceiling?
Splash and Relax caps 26642BS at 16,805 litres. Reviewers name 10 ft pools and pools around 3 m by 2 m, but the about £109.99 listing states neither a volume nor a voltage. A 10 ft name is not a yes. Inside 16,805 litres, on a confirmed 220–240 V SX925, is the small-class case.
When is the SX1500 the one to buy instead?
When the pool is past the SX925 ceiling you are using, or when you want the six-function valve, 12 kg of sand or 8.5 kg of glass, and 38 mm hoses. In this set that pump is B07FB5JSVD at about £131.09, with 220–240 V in the title and pools stated up to 29.1 m³. Poolpro's lower ceiling of about 19,156 litres is a second published figure. Reviews needed adapters on smaller ports.
Which SX925 listing is 120 V?
B099LRF8ZK, model 26641EG, at about £141.28. The table says 120 V, and UK reviews report a US plug. It scores 2.2 from 328. B09T71Y1ZC, model 26642BS, at about £109.99, does not state a voltage. Reject the 120 V code for UK mains. Do not treat the cheaper code as confirmed 230 V just because the other one is the US supply.
Four functions or six?
The SX925 sources used here describe four functions. Splash and Relax says a four-way valve. The amazon bullet on 26642BS names filter, backwash, recirculate and drain. The SX1500 names six: filter, backwash, rinse, recirculate, drain and close. Rinse is the step the four-function list does not give you. Read the lid, because a bullet and a moulded handle can still disagree on a single unit.
Will you need adaptors?
Intex's hose table says an SX925 on a 32 mm Intex pool needs no extra parts. The SX1500 is 38 mm, and reviews needed adapters on smaller ports. The box includes two 38 mm hoses and excludes the outlet fittings. Splash and Relax says the SX925 can still need a type B adaptor on 32 mm push-fit. Budget for that fitting if you buy the SX1500 for 32 mm ports.
