Best hanging baskets in the UK

Updated: October 2026

You want one hanging basket for a stated job: a cheap single near 14 inches, a pair for the porch, a reservoir so you water less often, or a holder for a pot you already own. A star line on its own is a weak way to choose. By the end of this page you should know which amazon.co.uk listing in our [hanging basket comparison](/hub/plant-accessories/hanging-basket) fits each job, and who should leave it. Best means a stated job

The ADEPTNA cone pair is 4.8 from 41 at about £12.95, the highest star line, which is why it is the top pick. That file is thin next to Kingfisher's 4.5 from 403, and one UK review found the chain shorter than 50 cm. Do not use that score when you want a 14 inch single or a reservoir. Fyne-Finds is 4.6 from 288 at about £9.95 for two, the best value. SQOKHT's two packs share 4.6 from 48, so that count is not two tests. Dveezull and CKUO have no star line.

A cheap single and an everyday pair

Kingfisher HB14R is the only 14 inch title here, at about £6.99, with a liner and a 40 cm chain. Reviewers call the weave flimsy and expect about one season. The chains arrived silver when the photos were black, and there is no load figure. Buy it for one garden-sized rim you will replace after the summer. Fyne-Finds is two lined bowls at about £9.95, about 30.5 cm across and 18.5 cm high. UK reviews mention pierced liners and call the quality good enough. A hook is not included. It is the porch pair if you will water an open liner. Types are on the hanging basket buying guide.

A reservoir and an indoor holder

SQOKHT is the reservoir. The 30.48 cm pair and the 25.4 cm trio are about £9.99. One review says the base came off in wind and heavy rain. The two-week line is the listing, not a measurement. Take the wider pair, or the trio if you want three smaller bowls. Leave both if you want plants through the sides. PEIQICHU is the only holder with a star line, 4.1 from 21 at about £17.09. One order arrived with a single hook. Dveezull and CKUO have no star line, and CKUO's 1 g and 0.1 litres are not usable figures. A cotton sleeve is for a light indoor pot. Do not fill it with compost.

Who each listing is not for

Skip Tosnail when you need more than 13 cm of compost. Skip the ADEPTNA 26 cm bowl when you need plastic that has not cracked empty. Its plug is not a reservoir. Skip the cone pair when you cannot measure the chain, and skip a listing with no star line. A cracked bowl or a missing hook is a 30-day rejection under section 22 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Planting is on how to plant a hanging basket. Wisley's figures are on the self-watering hanging basket page.

One job, one listing

If you want two cone baskets and a short review file is enough, the ADEPTNA pair is the top pick on the star line. If you want two lined bowls under £10, Fyne-Finds is the documented pair. If you want one cheap rim near 14 inches, Kingfisher is the single, and the weave is the compromise.

Common questions

What is the cheapest 14 inch in this set?
Kingfisher HB14R at about £6.99 is the only 14 inch title among the kept listings. One UK review measured 13 inches, so check the rim. The weave is often expected to last a season. A Smart Garden faux basket at Charlies has been the same £6.99, as a shop check outside this folder.
Which pair has the most reviews?
Fyne-Finds at about £9.95 has 4.6 from 288 reviews, the largest pair file here. UK texts mention pierced liners and a flat bottom. The ADEPTNA cone pair is 4.8 from only 41. Tosnail is 4.7 from 104 and only 13 cm deep. SQOKHT's 48 reviews are shared across two ASINs, so they are not a larger sample than Fyne-Finds.
Which listing has a reservoir?
SQOKHT's 30.48 cm pair and 25.4 cm three-pack, both about £9.99, state a detachable water compartment, a chain and an S-hook. The 4.6 from 48 applies to both pages. ADEPTNA's 26 cm bowl has a removable plug, which holds water in the compost if you leave it in. That is not a well under the basket. Plantopia and Crocus sell dearer reservoir baskets, and they are not scored here.
Is the cone the top pick because it is 4.8?
It is the top pick on the score because 4.8 is the highest star line, at about £12.95 for two cone baskets with a liner. The file has 41 reviews, and one UK buyer found the chain shorter than 50 cm. For a cheap 14 inch single, Kingfisher's 403 reviews tell you more. Use 4.8 to shortlist the cones, and still match the shape to the job.
Should I buy a holder with no star line?
Only as a sleeve for a light pot you already have. Dveezull's usage field says indoor and drainage is no. CKUO claims indoor and outdoor on cotton rope, with a listed weight of 1 g and no reviews. PEIQICHU at about £17.09 at least has 4.1 from 21, including a missing-hook review. None of the three replaces a planted summer basket.
Who should skip the Tosnail cups?
Skip them if you need compost depth, side planting, or a liner that holds water above a neighbour. The cups are 13 cm deep. Coco drains, and the extra fabric liner the bullets suggest is not in the box. The 4.7 from 104 is the amazon.co.uk line, and the written UK texts are short. A 12 inch Fyne-Finds bowl is the deeper pair at a lower price.
