What the two series change

Quigo and Quigo Plus bullets say ±0.8 mm/m. Quigo Green says ±0.6 mm/m. The GLL 2-10 and the GCL 2-15 say ±0.3 mm/m. On a 4 m wall that is 3.2 mm against 1.2 mm if you multiply the printed figure. IP54 is stated only for those two Professional tools. The Quigo listings do not state an IP rating. Bosch states a Quigo working window of +5 °C to +40 °C. The GLL 2-10 window is −10 °C to 50 °C. An unheated UK garage in January can sit below +5 °C, outside the Quigo window and still inside the GLL window. The order of those checks is on the Bosch cross line laser buying guide.

Quigo for a wall, GLL when the cube is the limit

A Quigo is enough for pictures and shelves if the support is tall enough. The MM 2 kit is £39.95 (4.2 from 96), the class 2 Quigo is £55.14 (4.2 from 329), and the Quigo Plus is £77.17 (4.3 from 492). Class 2 is stated on B0CGXSPRWP, not on every cube bullet. The GLL 2-10, B01LP4H22S, is £89.95 with 4.5 from 1,704 reviews. It states ±0.3 mm/m, up to 10 m, and IP54, with no plumb points and no mount in the box. Bosch's own listing was £129.60 including VAT the same day, beside the Amazon price of £89.95. A kitchen run where a few millimetres over 4 m would show in the tile joints is where that tolerance earns the jump. Colour belongs on Bosch Quigo green or red.

GCL 2-15 when you need the dots

The GCL 2-15, B01FLJ6DO6, is £119.99 with 4.6 from 7,977 reviews. It states class 2, IP54, and ±0.3 mm/m, and it includes the RM 1 mount, three AA cells, a target plate, a protective bag, and an L-BOXX inlay. The RM 1 does not change height once it hangs from a nail, and there is no tripod in the box. The amazon.co.uk bullets do not state a metre range, so do not paste 15 m from another kit onto this ASIN. Bosch's shelf price was £139.64 including VAT. You buy this over the GLL 2-10 when you need a point on the ceiling and the floor. The £30 between £89.95 and £119.99 is the dots and the RM 1. The UniversalLevel 2 at £99.99 also has plumb points, at a stated ±0.5 mm/m and without a stated IP54.

What neither series does outside

Neither a Quigo nor these Professional crosses works as an outdoor layout tool in sun. Reviews call the GLL weak in daytime outdoors and give the GCL no practical range in strong light. None of the kits includes a receiver. Class 2 is the class these tools state where they state one. UKHSA says class 2 is visible light, a short glance is covered by aversion, and staring is hazardous. Eye-safe is class 1 only. For shelves in a heated room, the Quigo matches the job. For IP54 and ±0.3 mm/m without dots, it is the GLL 2-10. For dots, it is the GCL 2-15.

Common questions

Is a Quigo enough for pictures and shelves?
A Quigo is enough for pictures, shelves, and a short rail indoors, if the stand reaches the mark. The cubes in this set state ±0.8 mm/m, or ±0.6 mm/m on Quigo Green, and they cost from £39.95 to £82.39. They do not state IP54. Reviews treat them as home tools. Move up if you need plumb points, a stated dust-and-splash rating, or the ±0.3 mm/m figure on the GLL 2-10 and GCL 2-15.
What does IP54 change on these Bosch lasers?
IP54, stated here only on the GLL 2-10 and the GCL 2-15, means the housing is dust-protected and resists water splashed from any direction. It is the reason to prefer those tools for occasional dusty or damp site use. It is not a rating for leaving the tool in rain, and it does not appear on the Quigo bullets in this set.
Does the GLL 2-10 have plumb points?
The GLL 2-10 does not have plumb points. It throws two lines, states ±0.3 mm/m and up to 10 m, and states IP54. The amazon.co.uk price was £89.95, beside £129.60 including VAT on Bosch's page. If you need a dot on the ceiling and the floor, the GCL 2-15 at £119.99 is the Professional listing that adds them. The GLL is the wrong buy for that transfer.
Why is the GCL 2-15 dearer than the GLL 2-10?
On 20 October 2026 the GCL 2-15 was £119.99 and the GLL 2-10 was £89.95. Both state ±0.3 mm/m and IP54. The GCL adds plumb points, the RM 1 mount, a target plate, a protective bag, and an L-BOXX inlay. The RM 1 does not adjust height from a nail, and the bullets do not state a metre range. You pay the difference for the dots and the mount, not for a higher laser class.
Are Professional tools a different laser class?
They are not a higher class in this set. Where the listings state a class, it is class 2, including the GCL 2-15 and the Quigo B0CGXSPRWP. UKHSA treats class 2 as visible light that is hazardous if you stare. Eye-safe is reserved for class 1.
