Leaf blower buying guide

Updated: October 2026

A leaf blower buying guide only helps if it starts with the carton, not the star rating. A speed, a shelf price and a star average do not say whether a battery is in the box, whether the figure is a speed or a volume, or whether the spec block describes a different machine. The [leaf blower comparison](/hub/lawn-and-garden-equipment/leaf-blower) holds the grid for twelve amazon.co.uk listings captured on 22 October 2026. Read it as the job, then the box, then the air figure, then the cells that contradict each other. If you buy through our links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

What the price is actually buying

The shelf price is the cost of the carton, and these captures fall into three kinds. A kit includes a blower, at least one pack and a charger, on a battery that fits only that brand. A bare body is the tool alone. A mains blower-vac is a lead and, on these two listings, a bag. A body at about £29.99 is not the same purchase as a kit at about £69.99. The bare bodies are the Ryobi OBL1820S at about £57.67, for an 18 V ONE+ pack you already own, and the QUPERR at about £29.99, which is not made by DeWalt. Buyers who missed the tool-only line then spent about £50 to about £60 on a pack and charger. SEYVUM at about £69.99 includes two 2.0 Ah packs and a charger. Whether you want the bag is a separate decision, on the leaf blower or vacuum page.

Speed is not volume

Speed, in km/h, mph or m/s, is how fast the jet leaves the nozzle. Volume, in CFM, m³/h or m³/min, is how much air moves. Ranking 257 km/h against 700 CFM is like ranking a speedometer against a bucket. Glowica’s 257 km/h and Ryobi’s 245 km/h are speeds. SEYVUM’s 140, 185 and 220 CFM are volumes. MTKOALA prints 200 mph and 700 CFM together, and PULITUO prints 200 km/h and 680 m³/h. Keep each pair. Ryobi’s 278 cm³/min is not a usable airflow beside 245 km/h. GrowVid prints three speed figures that cannot be one jet, and 950,000 rpm is not a plausible fan speed.

Where the listing disagrees with itself

The Ark Mat title, bullets and UK reviews describe a corded blower-vac with a cable and a bag. The power-source field says battery. The title says a 12 m cable and a 45 L bag. A bullet says 10 m and 35 L. Item weight is 1.6 kg and the title also says 3 kg. You can still buy it as a mains vac if the reviews match the job. You cannot treat every cell as measured. The Bosch voltage field says 18 V on a corded 3,000 W machine. That cell does not make it a battery tool. Kaelo’s power-source field says corded electric, while the title and UK reviews describe a cordless kit. PULITUO’s title says 4,000 mAh and a bullet writes 4,000 Ah. Do not quote the pack as 4,000 amp-hours. The shortlist is on the best leaf blower page.

Noise marks and review counts

A guaranteed sound-power mark is not an Amazon decibel cell. Ryobi’s 78 dB, Bosch’s 99 dB, SEYVUM’s 80 dB and JYGMPRO’s 95 dB are listing cells. We did not check a label on the tool. Councils in England must consider statutory nuisance. Southampton, Brighton & Hove and Dorset say they do not investigate ordinary daytime garden equipment, including leaf blowers. That is local policy, not a licence for any hour. A high star line on a handful of reviews can still move. The scores use stars and counts only.

Common questions

Does the price include a battery and charger?
Only if the listing is a kit. SEYVUM, Glowica, JYGMPRO, Kaelo, KUZUPRO, PULITUO, MTKOALA and GrowVid are sold as kits. The Ryobi OBL1820S and the QUPERR are bare bodies, so the pack you add is extra. The Bosch and the Ark Mat are mains machines, so a charger is not part of the purchase. Check the included-components row against the bullets before you compare two shelf prices.
Is kilometres per hour the same as CFM?
No. Kilometres per hour, miles per hour and metres per second are jet speed. CFM and cubic metres are air volume. SEYVUM’s 220 CFM and Glowica’s 257 km/h cannot sit on one ranking. If a listing prints both, keep them as two claims.
Which of these listings are blower-vacs?
Only the Bosch UniversalGardenTidy 3000 and the Ark Mat. The other ten are blow-only. A review that mentions damp leaves on a Glowica or a Kaelo is a blowing comment, not evidence of a hidden bag. The Ark Mat spec block says battery, but the title and UK reviews describe a corded vac. Read that conflict in the same breath as the about £39.95 price.
Should I look at a pack I already own before the kit prices?
Yes. If you already have Ryobi 18 V ONE+ packs, the OBL1820S at about £57.67 is a body for those packs, and UK reviews put a 4 Ah pack at about 15 to 20 minutes. A listed DeWalt 18 V pack is the QUPERR case, and the PowerStack exclusion is still unresolved. A 20 V or 21 V kit will not run on either platform.
When is a 4.7 from 11 ratings weaker than a 4.4 from 814?
When you are using the stars as evidence of how the tool behaves for other UK buyers. MTKOALA’s 4.7 comes from 11 reviews. SEYVUM’s 4.4 comes from 814. The smaller file can still move next week. PULITUO’s 5.0 from five reviews, and GrowVid’s 4.4 from two, are thinner still.
