Updated: October 2026

What small means in this folder

Which? puts under about 50 m² at roughly 30–34 cm. English Garden puts 30–35 cm up to 250 m². The guides do not match. The Swift’s claim is up to 50 m². The width tables are on the buying guide. The Swift is 22 cm with a battery in the price. The Ryobi body is 33 cm without one.

Three corded mowers near £60

The LawnMaster M2EB1232M-01 is the shortlist near £60: 32 cm, 20–60 mm in five positions, a 10 m cable, a stated roller, 11.5 kg, and 4.2 from 391 ratings. Reviewers say part of the 30 L bag is fabric. The HYM3313E is the same about £59.99, at 33 cm, 7.5 kg, and an 11 m lead, but 3.6 from 416 ratings. Several reviewers say the plug falls out. Take it only if the extra metre and the lower weight matter more than that line.

The two Bosch 32 cm listings

The EasyRotak 32-225 at about £80.99 prints 25–65 mm and also one cutting position, at 8 kg, and 4.2 from 222 ratings. This amazon.co.uk file does not state a roller or a 10 m cable. Which? and Argos publish both for model 06008A6372. Do not paste those lines over this file. The EasyRotak 32-220 at about £108.59 states five positions with no millimetres, weighs 11.8 kg, and a bullet names a spare blade that included components do not repeat. Change that height only with the plug out.

22 cm when the lawn is tiny

The Swift EB122C is 22 cm, 5.2 kg, about £134.99, with a 40 V 2.0 Ah battery and charger, and a claim of up to 50 m². It mulches and states no collection box. The spec says three heights from 30 to 50 mm. The highlight says five. The Ryobi OLM1833B is 33 cm at about £160.20 with the battery excluded. The corded or cordless page is where that body-only price belongs.

When to leave this page

Leave these decks when you want the Flymo’s 36 cm review pool, the HYM3800E’s 38 cm and 40 L box at about £158.31, or the AdvancedRotak’s 40 cm at about £209.94. The Flymo has no printed lead, and its height lines clash. Under 34 cm, the LawnMaster is the stated roller and the 10 m lead. The HYM3313E is only if you accept 3.6 and the cable-seat reviews.

Common questions

Is 32 cm enough for a small lawn?
It is the width Which? associates with under about 50 m², and it sits inside English Garden’s 30–35 cm band, which they stretch much further. The guides disagree, so 32 cm is enough when you have paced a small lawn and you accept more passes than a 38 cm deck. The LawnMaster, both EasyRotak models, and the Ark Mat are 32 cm.
What is the difference between the two EasyRotak 32 models?
The 32-225 is about £80.99, prints 25–65 mm and also one position, and weighs 8 kg on this file. The 32-220 is about £108.59, states five positions without millimetres, weighs 11.8 kg, and a bullet names a spare blade that included components do not repeat. Neither Amazon file states a 10 m lead.
Why is the LawnMaster the same price as the Hyundai with a better star line?
Both are about £59.99. The LawnMaster is 4.2 from 391 ratings, with heights that agree, a 10 m lead, and a roller, at 11.5 kg. The HYM3313E is 3.6 from 416 ratings, 7.5 kg, with an 11 m lead and reviews that the plug falls out. You trade weight and one extra metre of cable against that 3.6.
Does the EasyRotak 32-225 have a roller?
Not on this amazon.co.uk listing. Cable length is unstated here as well. Which? and Argos publish a roller and a 10 m cable for the same model number, 06008A6372, with weights that also differ from the Amazon 8 kg line. Check the parcel. Do not buy the Amazon page as if it had promised the Argos specification.
When is 22 cm the right mower?
When the lawn matches the Swift’s claim of up to 50 m², you want mulch rather than a 30 L box, and you want the 2.0 Ah pack and charger at about £134.99. It is 5.2 kg. It is the wrong width when a 32 cm corded mower would finish the same lawn from a nearby socket for about £60.
Should I buy the Ryobi for a small lawn if I have no battery?
No. It is 33 cm, which looks like this page, and about £160.20 excludes the battery and charger. The 250 m² claim needs a 5.0 Ah pack that is not included. Without a ONE+ pack already owned, a complete corded 32 cm listing is the comparable small-lawn price.
When do I step up to 36 cm or more?
When the narrow shortlist is too small for the grass you paced, or you want the Flymo’s 36 cm review pool, the HYM3800E’s 38 cm and 40 L box, or the AdvancedRotak’s 40 cm. Stepping up does not remove an unstated Flymo lead, a disputed Hyundai stripe, or a broken 1 kg field on the Bosch.
