Bosch cordless mower for a small garden: 32 cm kits

Updated: October 2026

A small UK garden does not need a 43 cm deck that weighs 28 kg. If the lawn is a front patch, a courtyard, a caravan pitch, or a modest front and back, the choice in this set is between two 32 cm kits. This page is a Bosch cordless mower for a small garden: the EasyMower 18V-32-200 against the Rotak 18V-32, from the [Bosch cordless lawn mower comparison](/hub/lawn-and-garden-equipment/bosch-cordless-lawn-mower). Stay at 32 cm

Bosch bands the ROTAK18V-32 to about 150 m² with at least a 4.0 Ah pack. That is a manufacturer recommendation, not a stopwatch result. For a courtyard or a pitch, 38 cm is the width to skip. The 38 cm kit here is about £269.99 and 23.5 kg, and it wants two packs fitted. The 43 cm kit is about £319.00 and 28 kg. A medium lawn in Bosch’s 500 m² band belongs on the 18V or 18V2 page. The EasyMower kit is about £173.13. The Rotak 18V-32 kit is about £181.00. The body is about £132.60 and has no battery. One kit review is about 60 m² and 20–25 minutes. The ROTAK18V-32 instructions go up to 150 m² on a 4.0 Ah pack for very thin, dry grass. Neither figure is a reason to jump to 43 cm.

EasyMower or Rotak 18V-32 kit

The EasyMower is the light one. Amazon prints 7.5 kg, with a 4.0 Ah PBA pack and an AL 1830 charger in the box. The star line is 4.0 from 263 reviews, and the listing states a 2 year warranty. Tall grass after a gap is a struggle, and wet grass is worse than a mains mower for several reviewers. The height cells print 0.2 cm to 60 cm over three positions. That cannot be the cutting band. Bosch and Which? use 20–60 mm. Which? prints 8.1 kg, which is not amazon’s 7.5 kg, and marks mulching no and propelled no. The best-sellers cell says Hover Lawn Mowers. The bullets describe a walk-behind mower, and the operation mode is Manual. It does not hover. The Rotak 18V-32 kit is about £181.00 and 14.3 kg, with a stated brushless motor, a mulch plug, a 35 litre bag and a height of 25–65 mm. The star line is 4.5 from 54 reviews. The amazon field does not state vertical storage. Choose the EasyMower if you will lift the mower and you can live without a stated mulch plug. Choose the Rotak kit if you want the plug and the brushless claim. Neither is self-propelled.

When the body price is the wrong saving

The Rotak 18V-32 body is about £132.60, 4.5 from 88 reviews, and 13 kg. It includes the mower and the mulch plug, not a battery or a charger. For a first cordless mower that is the wrong saving. You still need a green POWER FOR ALL pack, and one UK review says blue professional packs do not fit. The body makes sense when that pack and a charger are already in the house. It does not match the EasyMower’s listed weight.

The 34 cm step

The 34 cm kit is the shed step, not the courtyard default. At about £201.54, with one 4.0 Ah pack, it is 4.5 from 33 reviews and 14.9 kg. The bullets state foldable handles and vertical storage, which the 32 cm Rotak listings do not. Bosch bands that width to about 200 m². The knobs are the limit. Reviewers say they are fiddly and do not tighten properly. One 4.0 Ah pack finishes some small lawns and not others. A second green pack is the review answer when you run out. It is not a reason to buy the 43 cm kit for a garden you can cross in a minute.

Common questions

Is 32 cm enough for a small front and back?
Bosch’s band for the 32 cm Rotak is about 150 m² with at least a 4.0 Ah pack. A modest front and back often sits there. If the grass is in the 200 m² band, the 34 cm kit is the next listing, still on one pack. Leave the 38 cm and 43 cm kits for a larger lawn.
Which one is lighter, and which one mulches?
The EasyMower is 7.5 kg on amazon. The Rotak 18V-32 kit is 14.3 kg and the body is 13 kg. Which? shows 8.1 kg for the EasyMower, so the sources disagree, and both are still under the Rotak. The Rotak kit and body include a mulch plug. The EasyMower listing does not, and Which? marks mulching no.
Does the EasyMower hover?
No. A best-sellers cell files it under Hover Lawn Mowers. The listing describes a walk-behind mower, the operation mode is Manual, and reviews talk about collecting grass. A hover mower is a different machine.
Should you buy the £132.60 body first?
Only if a green POWER FOR ALL pack and a charger are already yours. Otherwise the gap to the about £181.00 kit is the battery and charger you still have to buy. A UK review says a blue professional pack will not fit this green grade.
Will one 4.0 Ah pack finish a small lawn?
Sometimes. One EasyMower review managed about three quarters of 110 m². One Rotak kit review is about 60 m² and 20–25 minutes. The manual’s 150 m² example is for very thin, dry grass. A second pack is the fix reviewers use when they run out.
When is the 34 cm kit the better step?
When you want the vertical-storage bullets and Bosch’s 200 m² band, and you accept knobs that reviewers struggle to tighten. It is about £201.54 with a battery. It is not lighter than the EasyMower.
