Könighaus Smart Dual vs P-series

Updated: 22 October 2026

You thought you were choosing 600 W versus 800 W, but the amazon.co.uk rows are really two cartons. One has feet, an app and a towel rail. The other has wall fixings, a cable, and a blank space where a thermostat should be. Same brand, different day-one experience. The [Könighaus infrared heater comparison](/hub/heating/konighaus-infrared-heater) puts all five ASINs in one table. This page is the family split before you touch watts. Peter F. checked those listings and public UK sources. There was no lab test. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

What is actually in the carton

Smart Dual in this set is three listings: 450 W at about £99.90, 600 W at about £149.90 and 800 W at about £169.90. Each claims feet, a wall kit, a remote, Wi-Fi and a towel rail. IP44 is printed. Origin on the spec tables is China. P-series is the P-600 at about £121.90 and the P-800 at about £138.90. Both include wall fixings and a 1.80 m cable. Neither includes feet, a remote or a thermostat. Towel-rail fields are blank. Origin is printed as Germany. Amazon weights, 11 kg and 6.76 kg, disagree with the 5.2 kg type row in the 2023 English manual. Plan fixings from the weight you will hang. Feet on delivery day means Smart Dual. A permanent wall and a thermostat you already own means P-series, with control bought separately.

Control you get on day one

Smart Dual bullets claim a programmable thermostat, a remote and a Wi-Fi app. The 600 W description names the Tuya app. Weekly schedules are in that carton, subject to your Wi-Fi. Reviews mention 2.4 GHz quirks and an app figure that does not match the room. P-600 and P-800 bullets say the thermostat is recommended and not included. Könighaus ties its Regulation 2015/1188 wording, including the “98%” line, to using a thermostat. That is an ecodesign sentence, not a measured saving. On these two ASINs you buy control yourself. Until you price that thermostat, the P-600 at about £121.90 is not automatically less than the 450 W Smart Dual at about £99.90, which already includes the hardware.

Origin, IP, and the copied bullet

Smart Dual spec tables print China. P-series listings print Germany. That is the origin label, not a quality score. TÜV SÜD on the P-800 warranty line is not a UK comparative test. IP44 is printed on the Smart Dual listings. The P-series amazon fields leave IP blank, while the manual and the P-series page print IP44 for those types. Both statements are true of different documents. A bullet on the 600 W and 800 W Smart Dual pages still says to mount the 450 W panel. The spec tables list 600 W at 100 × 100 cm and 7 kg, or 800 W at 90 × 90 cm and 9 kg. Those ASINs share one image URL in the product data. Trust the spec table and the nameplate. The 2026 Smart Dual manual example for 450 W is 70 × 45 × 13 cm and 4 kg. The listing is 70 × 70 × 1.3 cm and 5 kg. Do not pick a size from the manual alone.

Then choose the watts on the main table

The family does not choose 450 W, 600 W or 800 W for you. Feet and an app still leave the 450 W at about £99.90 against the 600 W at about £149.90. A wall-only plan still leaves P-600 against P-800, and those coverage lines disagree inside each listing. The FAQ forbids a P-series ceiling mount. Neither family here is the M-series. A small-room pick is on best Könighaus infrared heater. Coverage clashes are on the buying guide.

Common questions

Which box has the feet and the remote?
Smart Dual cartons list feet, a remote, Wi-Fi and a towel rail. P-series cartons list wall fixings and a 1.80 m cable only. P-series feet are an optional extra, not part of these amazon.co.uk boxes.
Can I add a thermostat later to the P-series?
Yes. That is the path these amazon.co.uk listings describe. The bullets recommend an external thermostat and do not include one. Budget that control when you compare the P-600 at about £121.90 with a Smart Dual that already has a thermostat, a remote and Wi-Fi in the carton.
Why does one listing say Germany and the other China?
Smart Dual spec tables print China. P-series listings print Germany. Read that as the origin label on the page, not as a quality score. Stars and what is in the box tell you more about day-one use.
Does the Smart Dual include a towel rail the P-series does not?
On these amazon.co.uk listings, a towel rail is on the Smart Dual rows and blank on the P-series rows. The rail is a carton difference, not a bathroom-zone approval. Wet-room distances still follow BS 7671.
Why do the 600 W and 800 W Smart Dual bullets mention 450 W?
It is a copy error on the listings. The spec tables list 600 W at 100 × 100 cm and 7 kg, or 800 W at 90 × 90 cm and 9 kg. Trust the spec table and the nameplate, not the stray bullet.
Is the P-series cheaper once I buy a thermostat?
Not automatically. Add the thermostat to the P-600 at about £121.90 or the P-800 at about £138.90 before you compare them with the 450 W Smart Dual at about £99.90, which already includes the control hardware.
Which one can go on the ceiling?
Neither family here is the M-series ceiling product. The manufacturer FAQ forbids a P-series ceiling mount. Smart Dual in this set is a wall panel or a panel on the feet supplied.
Which page tells me the watts after I pick the family?
The main comparison holds the five prices and outputs. The buying guide then walks the coverage clashes: no square metres on Smart Dual, and P-series bullets that do not match their own spec lines.
