Best black gas BBQ

Updated: 23 October 2026

You want a black gas barbecue from the nine amazon.co.uk listings, and not a five-star badge that rests on three or four reviews. The best black gas BBQ here is the best fit for a job you can name: a small stand, a family 4+1, or a wide 6+1. Scores sit on the [black gas BBQ comparison](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/black-gas-bbq). Width, and the money that is not in the price, are on the [gas BBQ buying guide](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/black-gas-bbq/sub/black-gas-bbq-buying-guide). What this shortlist can and cannot decide

Best means the listing whose job, review depth, and included line match the cook, not the loudest kilowatt or a 5.0 on three or four reviews. The top pick is the covered Pro Deluxe, because 4.5 from 366 ratings is the strongest wide-trolley file. The best value is the Original 4+1 at £199.99, because 4.4 from 1,036 ratings gives more score per pound than the Campfire at £169.99.

A small black gas barbecue

The Weber Q 1200N is £389, one burner at 2.93 kW with a matching 2,930 W field, 1,290 cm², and a 19 kg body of 45.5 × 105 × 109 cm. The star line is 5.0 from four UK reviews. One says a canister lasted about three hours, which is one cook, not a specification. The included line does not name a hose. Choose it for one zone on a small patio. Skip it when you want a hot side and an off side.

A family 4+1

The CosmoGrill Original 4+1 is £199.99, 4.4 from 1,036 ratings, a stated 1,952 cm², and a body of 50 × 126 × 103 cm at 22 kg. UK reviews say it feels sturdy and that the pipe was not in the box. One found burners lighting only part-way. The bullet’s kilowatts do not match the 9.3 kW field. Buy it if you will add a hose the same day. The Campfire at £169.99 is cheaper, and the UK texts are harsher.

A wide 6+1, and the one with a hose

The covered Pro Deluxe at £299.99 is the wide top pick: 4.5 from 366 ratings, a 600D cover, a stated 3,214 cm², and model number 93416. Reviews repeat the missing hose and doors that rusted after about two years under the cover. The uncovered twin is £289.99, 4.4 from 269, the same model number, and no cover in the included line. Both name 37 mbar propane or 28 mbar butane and say the canister stays out of the cabinet while you cook. Skip a 6+1 if the patio is under about 1.5 m. The 14.5 kW bullet does not match the specification. The Emberr at £279.99 names a propane clip-on hose in the included line, at 4.0 from 30, and its bullet width does not match the specification. Which cartons name a pipe is on gas BBQ hose and regulator.

Listings with almost no reviews

The Traveler is £569, with one 3.8 kW burner, no star line, and two width figures, 111 cm and 150 cm. The Platinum is £629.99 and 60 kg, with 28.2 kW lines that agree and a hose claimed in the bullet rather than the included line. Three ratings do not make it the best black gas BBQ.

Common questions

Which one includes the hose?
The Emberr names a propane hose and regulator in the included line. The Platinum bullet says a 37 mbar propane hose is included, while its included-components line does not. The Campfire, both 4+1 CosmoGrill pages, and both Pro Deluxe bullets tell you the hose is not in the box. The Weber Q included line does not name one.
Is the Weber Q a better buy than a £200 trolley?
It is a better buy when you want one burner, a 19 kg stand, and a small patio, and you accept four reviews at £389. It is a worse buy when you want zones and a deep UK review file. The Original 4+1 has 1,036 ratings and cannot fold into the Q’s footprint.
Are the two Pro Deluxe listings the same barbecue?
They share model number 93416 and the same broad 6+1 description. They are separate ASINs, prices, and review sets. The £299.99 listing puts a 600D cover in the title. The £289.99 listing’s included line is the manual, not that cover. Do not assume a cover arrived because another page with the same model number offers one.
Why not pick the 5.0 ratings?
The Weber Q is 5.0 from four ratings and the Platinum is 5.0 from three, with no review text on the Platinum. A perfect line on a handful of reviews is not the same evidence as 4.5 from 366 or 4.4 from 1,036. The comparison deducts for fewer than ten ratings for that reason.
Who should skip the Campfire?
Skip it if you need the hose in the box, if missing side-burner fittings would ruin the first weekend, or if you want a star line nearer 4 than 3.4. The £169.99 price is real. It does not offset bent panels and a power conflict between the bullet and the specification.
Is the Platinum worth £629.99 on three ratings?
Not as a reviewed result. The 28.2 kW lines agree, which is rare in this set, and the bullet claims a hose and a cover. There is no UK review text to say the trolley cooks, resists rust, or arrived complete. At that price, three ratings are a reason to wait or to buy somewhere you can inspect the carton.
