Pizza oven stand

Updated: 23 October 2026

You are about to set an Ooni, a Gozney or a similar oven on whatever table is already on the patio. A pizza oven stand has to be a surface the oven maker allows, with a stated load that covers the oven, and with depth for a peel. A barbecue trolley can be that stand when the listing states kilograms and the top is metal. A camping table, glass or plastic is a different product. The seven listings are ranked on the [barbecue trolley comparison](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/barbecue-trolley). Wheel and brake rules live in the [barbecue trolley buying guide](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/barbecue-trolley/sub/barbecue-trolley-buying-guide). Listings and UK pages were checked on 20 October 2026. What the oven maker will not stand it on

Ooni’s table pages say not to use glass or plastic. The Koda 2 Max UK manual, for that oven, says the surface must take the weight, says not to move the oven during use, and recommends about 1.1 m to the stone. Those lines are that manual. A Karu or a Gozney Dome has its own sheet. A mesh camping table or an MDF top fails this test even with a 20 kg or 30 kg sticker. The BBQ trolley vs folding table page is that mix-up. ABS plastic, which one UK review reports on the BBQMall cart, sits on the wrong side of the Ooni wording.

Load and height

Look for a kilogram rating that covers the oven and the stone. Both Onlyfire tables state 40 kg. PARGRILL states 88 kg maximum and does not say the figure is the top alone. Currys lists the Ooni modular table at £189, up to 50 kg, for 12 inch and 16 inch Ooni ovens. The 1.1 m stone height is the Koda 2 Max recommendation, not the height of these carts. Onlyfire’s tables are about 81 cm. PARGRILL’s dimension field says 50 cm high, against a 762 × 508 mm top.

What the seven listings say

Onlyfire B092VDQ2VV, about £119.99, states 40 kg and a bracket up to 9 kg on a stainless top. Brakes are not stated. Onlyfire B092VD4PTH, about £159.99, states 40 kg and a gas-cylinder bracket without a second kilogram figure. PARGRILL B0D83D6XHF, about £119.99, states 88 kg and four braked swivel wheels. Those three are the in-set carts with a kilogram line you can quote. Nomiou, about £69.99, is painted steel with no load. Yvsevnr’s title says 304 stainless steel, and the only UK review says the gas-pipe hole will not pass a regulator. BBQMall’s bullet says up to 200 pounds and the weight field says 454 g. A 9 kg bracket is not proof that a 13 kg cylinder will fit.

Review fit is not a certificate

UK reviews say an Ooni sat on PARGRILL, on both Onlyfire carts, and on Nomiou when assembly succeeded. Those are owners’ ovens. A 12 inch oven in a review does not measure a 16 inch oven or a Dome. Nomiou reviews often stop at short screws and a dead QR code. The longer Onlyfire’s side shelf was bent by one UK reviewer and left off by another. BBQMall is the folding stand UK reviewers match to a Ninja Woodfire. It is not the default pizza-oven stand here: the material evidence is mixed, and there is no kilogram line.

When the brand stand is the clearer buy

Buy the brand stand when you want the maker’s load and the maker’s oven list together. Currys at £189 and 50 kg, for 12 inch and 16 inch Ooni ovens, at about 90 cm with lockable castors, is that offer. A painted cart at about £70 with no load, or a cart at about £120 whose height line says 50 cm, is cheaper and less specific. A generic cart is a reasonable stand when the top is metal, the listing states a load at or above the oven’s weight, and you have measured peel space. The shorter Onlyfire matches a stated 40 kg. PARGRILL matches when you also want four printed brakes. The longer Onlyfire matches when you need peel room and will not load the side shelf. Brakes do not make a balcony acceptable.

Common questions

Can a barbecue trolley hold a pizza oven?
It can when the top is a surface the oven maker allows and the stated load covers the oven. Both Onlyfire carts state 40 kg. PARGRILL states 88 kg. Nomiou and Yvsevnr state no kilogram line. A UK review that names an oven is not a certificate for your model.
What load should I look for?
Use the oven’s weight plus the stone, and compare it with a stated cart load. In this set that is 40 kg on Onlyfire or 88 kg on PARGRILL, and 88 kg is not labelled top-only. Brand stands checked on 20 October 2026 publish 50 kg or 60 kg. Leave the side shelf and the cylinder out of that sum.
Can I use a plastic, glass or MDF table?
Ooni’s guidance says not to use glass or plastic, and the Koda 2 Max manual repeats that for that oven. OutdoorXL marks a Campgear MDF top as not heat-resistant. One UK review says the BBQMall top is ABS plastic. That is the wrong surface for this job.
Is a £189 Ooni table different from a £70 cart?
Yes. Currys lists the Ooni medium modular table at £189, up to 50 kg, for 12 inch and 16 inch Ooni ovens, at about 90 cm. Nomiou at about £69.99 states no load, and UK reviews often fail at assembly. You pay more for a named fit and a published kilogram rating.
Can I roll the oven while it is firing?
No. The Koda 2 Max manual says not to move that oven during use. GOV.UK says to let a barbecue cool before you move it. Set the stand, lock any brakes the listing states, and walk around the cart to turn the pizza.
