Measure the grate and the lid

Start with a tape on the cold barbecue. The footprint has to sit on your grate, and the closed lid has to clear a slab standing in the frame. “Fits most” does not name your kettle, your Q, or the gap under a kamado dome. If the lid kisses the meat, the slot count never gets a chance to matter. Ceramic lids are on the rib rack for a kamado. The Weber 6605 shows why you do not trust a single line. Weber’s UK page names the Q 200 and Q 2000 and larger, and charcoal from 47 cm. The amazon file prints 45 cm as well as 47 cm. Amazon Basics is the mid-price upright rack with one centimetre line. If that rectangle misses your grate, four slots do not save it. Kamado Joe’s KJ-RR file prints two sizes, so you cannot average them into a size the seller never meant.

Match the slots to the cut

“Holds five” does not say five baby backs or five untrimmed spare-rib slabs. A full spare-rib slab flops on a short support or falls onto the grate. Weber’s bullets claim up to five racks. A UK review says the supports are too wide and too short, so thick slabs flopped. Mountain Grillers, at £14.99, names five baby backs. VBOYL mixes six rib plates with a turkey, and one UK review says it is too small for that turkey. KUNANG drew a UK review that calls it far too big. Match the cut before the logo.

Read the material line and the review line together

Read the coating field beside the word stainless. Weber’s amazon title says non-stick stainless steel. The details say chrome plating, Weber’s UK page does not call the 6605 stainless, and BBQ World lists plated steel. Buy it for the Q and 47 cm fit, not because the title used the stainless word. Plating against bare stainless is on stainless or non-stick rib rack. An empty review file cannot confirm a grade. Homeily, ewmqxpy, and zfafgamd all say 304, and none has a star line. Mountain Grillers has 4.5 from 1,657 reviews, and one UK text says the welds were already falling apart. Volume does not cancel a weld you can read.

What that leaves in this set

Three files survive as examples. Weber 6605 has a maker fit line for the Q 200/2000 and charcoal from 47 cm, limited by plating and short supports. Kamado Joe KJ-RR is the heaviest coating-free rack here, limited by two dimension lines. Amazon Basics is the reviewed four-slot frame with one size, and a UK note that it feels light. The weld note is why Mountain Grillers is not the default. VBOYL and KUNANG are flip frames with a size complaint each. Huanniu is titled for a Ninja Woodfire XL.

What do I measure before I order a rib rack?
Measure the cold grate, the height from the grate to the closed lid, and the length of the slab you buy. Compare those centimetres with every size line, including a second line that does not match the first. Weber’s UK page prints charcoal barbecues from 47 cm for the 6605. The amazon file prints 45 cm and 47 cm. If the lid will not close, the slot count does not matter.
Does “holds five” mean five baby backs or five spare-rib slabs?
It means whatever the seller typed, unless the bullet names the cut. Mountain Grillers says five baby backs. Weber says up to five racks and does not say spare ribs. Untrimmed spares often flop on a short support, which is why cooks trim to a St Louis cut. A baby-back claim is not a promise about a long supermarket slab.
Will the Weber 6605 fit a Q 2000 and a 47 cm kettle?
Weber’s UK page says yes to both: Q 200/2000 and larger, and charcoal from 47 cm, at about 8.9 × 20.5 × 33.5 cm. The amazon file agrees on the Q and then prints 45 cm as well as 47 cm. Treat £22.91 and the maker’s £23.99 as two snapshots, and still tape your own grate. A Q 200 and a 47 cm kettle are not the same footprint.
Why do two sizes appear on one amazon.co.uk page?
The listing was filled more than once. Kamado Joe’s file prints 10.3 × 15 × 4.5 cm and 26 × 38.1 × 11.4 cm. Weber’s prints a bullet near 8.9 × 20 × 33.5 cm and details of 34 × 20 × 9 cm. Use the maker page where one exists, and measure the rack when it arrives. Do not average the two lines into a size nobody published.
Is a rack with no reviews and a 304 bullet a bargain?
Not on the evidence in this set. Homeily, ewmqxpy, and zfafgamd all say 304, and none has a star line or a review. The fold, the grade, and any load figure are untested here. A price down to £7.99 does not replace a review that says the frame survived sauce and a wash.
