Kettle BBQ pizza oven kit

Updated: 22 October 2026

You have a 55–57 cm charcoal kettle, often a Weber, and a ring will either turn the bowl into a pizza oven or melt the plastic handle on the first hot fire. A kettle BBQ pizza oven kit in this set only belongs on that diameter, and the handle has to stay out of the opening. If you own a gas hood, a side burner, or a pellet grill, use the [BBQ pizza oven attachment comparison](/hub/grill-accessories/bbq-pizza-oven-attachment) instead. Peter F. checked these listings on 21 October 2026. Fit lines are the amazon.co.uk listings, not a trial of every 57 cm lid. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

57 cm, and not a Smokey Mountain

The Onlyfire BRK-6023 at about £78.98 is listed for a 57 cm kettle. The bullet names Weber, Napoleon, and Outdoorchef, and it says the ring does not fit a Weber Smokey Mountain. The kettle is not included. The box has a 38 cm stone, 1 cm thick, also written as 15 inch, an aluminium peel, and a thermometer. The ring is listed at 60 × 58.5 × 18 cm and 5.92 kg. If your kettle is not in that family, the review count does not make it the right purchase. The Onlyfire F-BRK6055-SS1 at about £139.99 widens the line to 55–57 cm charcoal kettles and still excludes the Smokey Mountain. It is a pizza ring plus a spit. Gas is not stated. A 22 inch Weber is the kettle people mean by 57 cm. Reviews do not say every 57 cm lid lands flush. One buyer added gasket tape. A gap you can see is a fit problem. The kettle stays outdoors, away from tents and garages.

The slot is the oven and the exhaust

The ring gives you a front opening, and the kettle lid stays on. That slot is how you launch without lifting the dome, and it is also the exhaust. The listing says to position the ring or the lid so the handle stays clear. UK reviews describe melted plastic Weber vent handles when that was ignored. The ring only helps if the lid survives the first fire. Weber UK sells spare lid handle 80672 at £14.99. It is plastic, for charcoal lids made after 2014, and it includes a heat shield. A replacement does not make the exhaust safe. Set the opening so the plastic is off to the side before you light anything. Clips and sharp edges show up on both rings. The spit kit's UK text includes an edge that cut a user. A burr you can feel is a reason to stop and dress it. The stone sits inside. You are not grilling on the kettle grate at the same time.

Charcoal at the back, wood on top

The BRK-6023 fuel field says wood, while the bullets describe a charcoal kettle. UK reviewers who talked about 300–400°C were burning charcoal and hardwood, not charcoal alone. Charcoal on its own runs cooler than charcoal plus wood. The pattern from UK reviews here is a chimney start, fuel towards the back, dry hardwood on top, vents open enough to matter, and the handle out of the plume. A cook described six pizzas at three to five minutes and put the problems down to dough and semolina. That matches the seller line: cook time once the chamber is hot, not the preheat. The peel and the shake test are on how to use a BBQ pizza oven. If the thermometer will not climb, add dry wood and open the vents. The 38 cm stone is the pizza limit.

The spit kit is a second product

The F-BRK6055-SS1 at about £139.99 is the other ring if you want pizza and a spit on the same 55–57 cm kettle. It shows 4.6 from 1,844 reviews, weighs 8.3 kg, and includes a 15 inch cordierite stone, a peel, a thermometer, and the rotisserie. Assembly is required, and reviews call the instructions poor. Pizza preheat is given as 10–20 minutes. Many of the UK reviews discuss the spit more than pizza. Rust, a broken stone on arrival, and a melted vent handle are in that sample too. The motor lines conflict. The bullet says 220 V. The table says 110 volts, 4 watts, and 0.22 kilowatts. UK mains are 230 V. Read the plate before you plug anything in. This page does not clear the kit for a UK socket. If you only want pizza, the BRK-6023 does that job without a motor, at about £78.98.

Common questions

Will it fit my Weber?
It is listed for a 57 cm kettle, and the BRK-6023 bullet names Weber. A 22 inch Weber is that size. The Smokey Mountain is excluded. Reviews do not claim every lid seals without a gap, and one buyer added gasket tape. Look at the rim before you light it.
Does it fit a Smokey Mountain?
No. Both the BRK-6023 and the rotisserie kit say they do not fit a Weber Smokey Mountain. The diameter line is a kettle, not a water smoker.
Why did the vent handle melt?
The opening is the exhaust. UK reviews describe melted plastic Weber handles when the handle sat in that plume. The listing says to keep it clear. Weber's spare 80672, at £14.99, replaces a post-2014 charcoal lid handle. The new handle still has to stay out of the slot.
Charcoal only, or charcoal and wood?
The bullets describe a charcoal kettle, and the fuel field says wood. UK reviews that talk about high heat use charcoal plus dry hardwood. Charcoal alone is the cooler fire. Build that mix at the back of the bowl, outdoors, with the handle clear.
What voltage is the motor?
The bullet says 220 V. The table says 110 V, 4 W, and 0.22 kW. Those cannot all be true. Read the plate. Do not use a UK 230 V socket to discover which line was a copy error.
