BBQ pizza oven attachment buying guide

Updated: 22 October 2026

You already own a gas barbecue, a charcoal kettle, a side burner, or a pellet grill, and the pizza oven on amazon.co.uk may not sit on it. A BBQ pizza oven attachment buying guide has to start with the shape, because that search covers five tools that do not swap. This page is the order of the decision, not a ranked winner. The [BBQ pizza oven attachment comparison](/hub/grill-accessories/bbq-pizza-oven-attachment) holds the seven-row table, from about £21.72 to about £282.49. Peter F. checked these listings on 21 October 2026. Figures are listing fields and review themes, not a lab cook. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Five shapes, not one product

Pizza oven here is a shelf name, not a fit. The five geometries are a grill-top hood, a 57 cm kettle ring, a kettle ring with an electric spit, a side-burner box, and a pellet-grill insert. Each shape excludes at least one host, so the barbecue comes before the star line. Trendi's bbq-195, Gardenwize's MPPO-SS, and the George Foreman GFPO1SSPC are hoods for a grate. They claim gas and charcoal, and Trendi also names electric. A 57 cm kettle wants the Onlyfire BRK-6023, which names Weber, Napoleon, and Outdoorchef, excludes a Weber Smokey Mountain, and does not include the kettle. The Onlyfire F-BRK6055-SS1 is the spit ring for a 55–57 cm charcoal kettle. Gas is not stated, and the motor is 220 V in one line and 110 V in the table. The Onlyfire BRK6105 sits on a gas side burner. COMVIEE is the pellet insert if the depth is 15.5–19.8 inches. Lid and exhaust detail is on the kettle BBQ pizza oven kit page.

Measure the grate or the kettle before you trust the fit

Gardenwize is 37.7 × 30.5 × 14 cm, with no grate width. George Foreman is 34.5 × 39.8 × 13 cm. UK reviews say that hood covers most of the barbecue, so pizza and a normal grill cook do not share the grate. Trendi's size field is 42×36×14 with no unit. This page will not invent a grate minimum for it. The side-burner kit disagrees with itself: 31.5 × 27.5 × 12 cm in one line, 11.9 × 31.5 × 27.4 cm in another, and 12.4 × 10.8 × 4.7 inches on the set line. Measure the shelf against the inch size. A 57 cm ring does not belong on a gas grate. The first cook is on the how to use a BBQ pizza oven page.

Stone, peel, and a gauge you can doubt

Gardenwize names cordierite. George Foreman names ceramic. The BRK-6023 lists a 38 cm stone. The rotisserie kit names a 15 inch cordierite stone. Trendi's line is cordierite, stoneware, or ceramic. The side-burner stone's material is not named. COMVIEE includes a 13 inch square stone. None of those material lines is a crack-proof certificate. Trendi and COMVIEE do not list a peel. Gardenwize includes a steel shovel, George Foreman a folding paddle, the side-burner kit a 10 inch spatula, and both kettle rings a peel. If the box has none, you need one you already own. A gauge only helps if it moves. George Foreman reviews say the thermostat stayed around 150°C on a four-burner left on full, while other reviews report a pizza in a few minutes once hot. Treat a stuck low reading as a failed heat-up.

When the price stops being the point

Trendi is about £21.72 with 4.0 from 43 reviews, and UK reports of a few-minute cook alongside burnt bases, raw tops, and a cracked stone. The warranty line is a dash. Gardenwize is about £39.99 with 4.0 from one review. One review is not a sample you can rank. The side-burner box is about £51.99 (3.8 from 71), George Foreman about £59.99 (4.2 from 53), and the BRK-6023 about £78.98 (4.5 from 1,119). The ring is that price only if you already own the kettle. The spit kit at about £139.99 shows 4.6 from 1,844. COMVIEE at about £282.49 sits near a dedicated oven. On 20 October 2026 the Ooni UK shop listed the Koda 12 and the Karu 12 at £299. Written reviews for that insert in this set are from the United States, including a fit miss. That fork is on BBQ pizza oven vs Ooni. Charcoal and gas still belong outdoors.

Common questions

Will any pizza oven attachment fit my barbecue?
No. A hood, a 57 cm ring, a side-burner box, and a pellet insert are different tools. Match the host before the price. Gardenwize gives a body of 37.7 × 30.5 × 14 cm and no grate width.
Do I need a peel in the box?
You need a peel, shovel, or paddle for the launch. Trendi and COMVIEE do not list one. Gardenwize, George Foreman, the side-burner kit, and both kettle rings do. A missing peel means you already own one before the dough meets a hot stone.
Is cordierite better than a ceramic stone?
Cordierite is marketed as the tougher stone. George Foreman names ceramic, Gardenwize names cordierite, and Trendi lists three materials. None of that is a crack-proof certificate. UK reviews in this set include a cracked Trendi stone and a side-burner stone that shattered after one cook.
Can I use a kettle ring on a gas barbecue?
Not on these listings. The BRK-6023 is a 57 cm kettle, and it excludes a Weber Smokey Mountain. The rotisserie kit is a 55–57 cm charcoal kettle. A gas grate wants a hood or, if you have measured the shelf, the BRK6105.
What if the stone arrives cracked?
Photograph it and use the short-term right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 22, inside 30 days. Trendi's warranty line is a dash, and one UK review describes a failed return. Gardenwize, George Foreman, and COMVIEE list one year. Arrival damage is not the same as a stone that cracks on a later cook.
