Best circular sprinkler

Updated: 22 October 2026

“Best” only means something once the lawn has a job. A large open circle, with a sector you can stop short of a fence, is a different purchase from a small full circle you can afford to replace. This page names one top pick and one best value from the ten amazon.co.uk listings in the [circular sprinkler comparison](/hub/garden-watering/circular-sprinkler). It is not a ranking of every sprinkler in Britain. Peter F. updated this page on 22 October 2026. Scores are amazon.co.uk stars plus review count. They are not a lab test. Best for a large adjustable circle

The top pick in this set is the GRÜNTEK sector sprinkler on a metal spike, ASIN B07F1YWC7C, at £22.78. amazon.co.uk shows 4.2 from 4,367 reviews. The listing states a sector from 30° to 360°, four spray modes named FLAT, FAN, LARGE, and MINI, a two-way metal spike, and a claim of up to 452 m². One reviewer estimated about 400 m² on modest pressure, which sits under that printed maximum rather than above it. A full circle of 452 m² implies a radius of about 12 m. That figure is a maximum at whatever pressure the seller had in mind. It is not a measurement of your outside tap. The same review file includes heads that stopped after a few minutes and left a fixed jet. If you still do not know whether 452 m² is even the right order of size, the circular sprinkler buying guide does the geometry before you spend £22.78.

Best value for a small full circle

The best value in this set is the Ram 360° rotating sprinkler, ASIN B09XR42FQ8, at £6.99, with 4.3 from 1,101 reviews. It is a plastic three-arm style head at 190 g. The listing describes constant 360° rotation, nozzles from about 15° to 45°, and a reach of 26–32.8 ft at about 2.5 bar, up to 4 bar. It does not say whether those feet are the radius or the diameter. If they are a diameter, the circle is about 8–10 m across, in the same band as a 79 m² dial. If they are a radius, the claim is several times larger, and the reviews do not describe that. There is no part-circle stop, so a path gets wet unless you move the head. Skip the Ram when you need a sector, a heavy base, or silence next to a terrace. The branded small-garden alternative is the Hozelock 2515 dial, ASIN B000QY366A, at £17.31, with 4.2 from 4,557 reviews. Eight patterns sit on a ring, and the listing states 79 m² and a diameter of about 10 m, so those two lines agree.

High scores that are not the pick

Wisdomwell, ASIN B07D32ZMJK, is £9.99 with 4.3 from 5,209 reviews, the largest count in the set. The model field says Bug Zapper. That name does not match a sprinkler. A corrupted model line is why this page does not give it the value pick, even though the review file is larger than the Ram’s.

Price context outside this table

What this page will not call best is the largest printed area, the highest star from the smallest sample, or an oscillating bar removed from the category. A Hozelock round head at 314 m² appears in amazon.co.uk results and is not in this table. If the grass is a rectangle with a path along one side, leave this category via circular vs oscillating sprinkler before you open either listing.

Common questions

Which listing is the top pick, and who should skip it?
GRÜNTEK B07F1YWC7C at £22.78 is the top pick for a large adjustable circle, with 4.2 from 4,367 reviews and a sector from 30° to 360°. The 452 m² line is a maximum. Skip it on a small rectangle, on paving where a spike cannot go, or if a stall after a few minutes is a fault you will not tolerate. A May 2026 UK review on the listing describes that stop.
What is the best value for a small lawn?
Ram B09XR42FQ8 at £6.99, with 4.3 from 1,101 reviews, is the best value for a small full circle. It has no sector. Hozelock’s 79 m² dial at £17.31 is the branded alternative when you want a labelled 10 m diameter. Wisdomwell is cheaper per review and is not the value pick, because the model field says Bug Zapper.
Why not the sprinkler with 4.8 stars?
Fipfovpa’s 4.8 comes from seven reviews. Two UK texts are in the file, with no measured area. A 4.2 from 4,367 reviews is a larger record of how a sector spike actually behaves, including the stalls. Stars do not encode radius.
Are Gardena and the big Hozelock pulse in this comparison?
No. Hillier lists a Gardena premium pulse at £47.99 for a stated 75–490 m². Hozelock advertises a pulsating spike at 450 m². Both are context for price and for a large maximum. The top pick and the best value on this page stay on the GRÜNTEK spike and the Ram rotary.
Will either pick run from a water butt?
Not from gravity. These heads need tap pressure. A butt without a pump will not spin them, even when stored rainwater is allowed. That legal split is on the hosepipe page. Impact sleds also click, so skip them if the terrace must stay quiet.
