Start with the object, not the brand. Most rows are upright resin lockers about 80 to 100 cm high, with two or three shelves: bottles, pet food, hand tools and light garage clutter. A 15 kg shelf will not take a 120-litre bin standing up. If the job is bins, cushions or a bulky store, the horizontal row is the Keter Store It Out Nova: 132 × 71.5 × 113.5 cm, 880 litres in the bullets, a lid and front doors, and shelves not included. The third job is the Outsunny fir unit, about 87 × 46.5 × 96.5 cm, with shutter doors and a sloped roof. A review says the usable depth is about 36 cm, because 46.5 cm includes the roof overhang. Measure the gap, including door swing, and move to a shed if you need a workspace.
Weather word, lock and kilogram line
Read the weather word on that ASIN only. Planet and Moby Low say watertight. Nova and the Outsunny say water resistant. Stilo, Stilo High, Detroit Tall, Titan Low and Closet Low Plus do not print a weather word, and several of those titles say indoor. Do not copy watertight from the Planet onto a Stilo. Centimetres and the wall sentence
Stilo High prints 21.6 × 40.4 × 80.5 cm against 68 × 39 × 173 cm. Closet Low Plus puts 83 × 39 × 68 cm on the title and 15.4 × 26.8 × 32.7 cm on the item line. If you only have a 70 cm gap beside the boiler, that clash is the whole purchase. Titan Low says 30 kg each in the bullets and 60 kg in a capacity field. Those are not the same sentence. Planet, Stilo, Stilo High, Detroit and Titan Low recommend a wall fix. Closet, Nova and the Outsunny do not print one. These listings do not cite BS EN 14749, so the sentence is the seller’s instruction, not a certificate.
When a cupboard is the wrong object
A garden cupboard in this set is a door-front cabinet you can move. It is not a shed you walk into, and it is not a lidded cushion box. England’s Class E rules, as the Planning Portal explains them, treat a cupboard you can carry as furniture. A fixed store can be a different question if the house is listed or in a conservation area. Nothing on these ten listings is a planning consent. Call someone if you cannot find cables before you drill, or if you need a written EN 14749 certificate. Common questions
Is a garden cupboard the same as a shed?
No. In this set a garden cupboard is a door-front cabinet for tools, pet food or cushions, not a walk-in shed and not a lidded cushion box. The upright resin rows are about 80 to 100 cm high. The Nova is a horizontal store at 132 × 71.5 × 113.5 cm. If you need to stand inside with a mower, you are shopping for a shed, which is outside these ten listings.
Does lockable mean a padlock is in the box?
No. Lockable describes a loop or a catch. Closet Low Plus says a padlock is not included. The Stilo lock-type field says not included even though a feature line says it can be locked. Kis and Detroit print a key. Moby prints padlock without saying one is supplied. The Outsunny has handles and no lock-type field. Read the lock-type line on that ASIN.
Can you add the shelf kilogram ratings into one cabinet rating?
No. Quote the line that is printed per shelf and leave it there. A 15 kg shelf plus another 15 kg shelf is not a 30 kg cupboard. Titan Low makes the trap explicit: the bullets say 30 kg each and a field says 60 kg. Nova’s 880 is litres in the bullets and kilograms in another field. Use the litre sentence, not the copied kilogram.
Why do Stilo High and Closet Low Plus print two different sizes?
The fields were not cleaned up before the page went live. Stilo High’s item line is a low, shallow figure while the size field is 68 × 39 × 173 cm. Closet Low Plus’s title is an upright cupboard size and the item line is much smaller. Until you can see which line the seller will honour, the style name High or Low Plus is not a measurement.
When do you need a wall, and when do you call someone else?
Planet, both Stilos, Detroit and Titan Low recommend a wall fix on the listing. Closet, Nova and the Outsunny do not print that sentence. You can build a resin flat-pack yourself. Call someone if you cannot locate cables before drilling, if the house is listed, if a falling cupboard has caused an injury, or if you need a written EN 14749 certificate. These listings do not cite that standard.
