Napkins, a grill side table, and a camping table share the search words and fail that check. The three listings that stayed are the Ondis24 Lena, the VOUNOT white set, and the Relaxdays black set. Ondis24's title says two beer benches and one beer table. Relaxdays lists two folding benches and one beer table. VOUNOT's bullets say a large party table and two benches, while the number-of-items field says 1. None of the three states a backrest. If you want one, you are looking at a different listing.

Length first, then width

Length decides the party before the finish does. A retailer rule of thumb from e-woodproducts is about 55 cm of bench per adult, so about 110 cm for four, 160 cm for six, and 220 cm for eight. That is their guidance, not a British Standard. The garden party guide works through those claims. Every kept listing is about 180 cm. Lacquered wood is a different family, on the wood or plastic page. Relaxdays states benches of 42.5 x 180 x 25 cm beside a table of 73 x 180 x 74 cm, so the bench length matches. Ondis24 states 180 x 75 x 73 cm and no bench length. VOUNOT's table bullet is 180 x 75 x 72 cm, and the bench bullet is 80 x 25 x 42 cm. Treat 80 cm as a conflict, not as a quiet correction.

Read the lock and the load line

The lock is what stops a leg folding while someone is sitting. The three amazon.co.uk files here do not include a fold diagram. The folding guide separates the ring, the clip, and the pin. Ondis24 reviews describe rings that are too thin or too large, so a foot folds. That sample is not located in the United Kingdom. A Relaxdays review expected two pins and found one. VOUNOT does not describe the lock in the listing fields. Only VOUNOT states a figure, 170 kg, and it does not say whether that is the table, a bench, or the whole set. Ondis24 and Relaxdays leave the load field blank. A blank is not a secret 200 kg. None of these three listings cites BS EN 581-3, which sets mechanical safety requirements for outdoor tables and does not test weathering. Item weights are 26.5 kg, 27.4 kg, and 26.4 kg. That is the product, not the carton. The Health and Safety Executive says there is no legal maximum lift weight.

What to do when the box is smashed

VOUNOT is the listing with a UK-located review sample, fourteen bodies in the file, and that sample is mostly arrival damage: a cracked bench, including on a replacement, smashed corners on the table and both benches, and screws that fall out. Photograph the carton and the crack before you assemble anything, and keep the photos with the order.
