Manual or electric suction lifter: the motor only pumps

Updated: 21 October 2026

An electric cup sounds safer because it keeps topping the vacuum up, and a hand pump sounds like something you will forget. Both are still a rubber pad on the face in front of you. The choice is who pumps, which battery is in the parcel, and whether you can see that the seal exists. The motor does not make a porous paver sealable. What the motor replaces, and what it does not

On a pump pair you push the plunger when the red line or the gauge moves. SHALL, TengXcel, and ONEVAN claim a motor will do that top-up. GRABO’s glass split of 170 kg and 120 kg belongs to GRABO, not to these three. DeWalt’s US DCE592B states 265 lb horizontal. That is not the TengXcel ASIN, which states 500 lb. The pump pair is the default when you do not already own the battery. This page asks whether the motor is worth the battery story.

SHALL, if you accept the battery conflict

SHALL is one 24.5 cm cup at £49.79, 4.5 from 52 reviews, stated at 300 kg, with an LCD. Five UK notes are short and positive, including 1200 × 600 mm paving. A bullet says 2500 mAh. The spec says one AAA battery, included. The wider file records a battery that can be knocked out and a tile that fell. Buy it only if you accept the conflicting cell and you still test the face.

TengXcel, if the DeWalt pack is already charged

TengXcel’s SUL082 is £60.99 for one bare cup, 4.8 from 13 reviews, stated at 500 lb. The DeWalt 20 V MAX or 60 V Flex pack is not in the box. UK notes are mostly positive on smooth 20 mm porcelain. One review writes 500 kg. The bullet says 500 lb. Riven was the face a reviewer did not use. Buy it if the right DeWalt pack is charged.

ONEVAN is a kit on paper and a failed review in the capture

ONEVAN is £80.99 for two cups, two 21 V batteries, two UK chargers, and a case, stated at 250 kg vertical. The items field says 1 while the bullet says 2. Amazon.co.uk shows 1.0 from one review that says the item did not work. If you want two handles and you can re-pump, DEWINNER or SEESII is the alternative. Who should skip each listing is on best suction lifter. The seat and the release are on how to use a suction lifter. Surface and box contents are on the suction lifter buying guide.

Common questions

When is a hand pump enough?
A hand pump is enough when the face is smooth, dry, and non-porous, and you can see a red line or a gauge. SEESII and DEWINNER have UK notes of large-format porcelain and of cups that also let go. You re-pump when the mark moves, with the piece set down. A motor is unnecessary for an occasional pane or a wiped glazed slab. It becomes interesting when you already own the battery and you repeat the lift often enough to care who pushes the plunger.
What does automatic top-up actually change?
It replaces your hand on the plunger after a seal exists. SHALL, TengXcel, and ONEVAN claim that top-up on an LCD. If the pad never sat, because the face is dusty, riven, or porous, the motor has no vacuum to restore. A battery does not make the cup suitable for every surface a hand cup refuses. You still lift a few centimetres, and you still put the piece down if the display falls.
Is the DeWalt battery in the TengXcel box?
No. TengXcel at £60.99 is a bare tool for DeWalt 20 V MAX and 60 V Flex only. The battery and a case are both absent. A review that mentions an 18 V pack is that reviewer’s kit, not the listing’s promise. If you have to buy a pack, compare that total with a pump pair that includes two cups and no cells.
Why does SHALL list both a 2500 mAh battery and one AAA cell?
The bullet and the spec block disagree. The bullet says 2500 mAh. Technical details say one AAA battery, included. The title says 24.5 cm, and the spec also says 10 inch. Five UK reviews are positive and do not settle which cell is in the handle. Treat the conflict as part of the purchase, not as a detail to skip once the LCD lights up.
Does ONEVAN include a UK charger, and will electric hold a textured paver?
The bullets say two 21 V 1.5 Ah batteries, Makita compatibility, two UK chargers, and a case, at £80.99. The items field says 1, so the pack count is messy, and the only UK review says the set did not work. An electric cup in this set has not been shown to hold textured porcelain that a pump cup drops. TengXcel’s note is smooth 20 mm, not riven. GRABO’s claims do not transfer. Test your offcut either way.
Is a £200 Grabo the same tool as these listings?
No. A TengXcel reviewer mentioned other brands at £200 to £300 from memory, and the ONEVAN review says that set is not a Grabo. DeWalt’s US Grabo page is a different model, with its own 265 lb and 132 lb figures. SHALL, TengXcel, and ONEVAN are the amazon.co.uk listings here, with their own loads, batteries, and review counts. Do not borrow GRABO’s table to finish a sentence about them.
