Best two part adhesive for the job in front of you

Updated: 23 October 2026

You want one pack from this amazon.co.uk set, and the star line is pulling you two ways. A 4.8 from 50 reviews looks like the best two part adhesive, and a plastic syringe with 17,667 reviews looks like it too. Neither is the top of this table. On 20 October 2026 we scored twelve listings for review evidence, whether the page agrees with itself, and the price of a small named pack. The full rows are on the [two-part adhesive comparison](/hub/fillers-adhesives-and-sprays/two-part-adhesive). A qualifying purchase can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. If you still need the decision order before a name, start with the [two part adhesive buying guide](/hub/fillers-adhesives-and-sprays/two-part-adhesive/sub/two-part-adhesive-buying-guide).

Our top picks

On this page

Best for a tight mitre

The top pick is Everbuild Mitre Fast MITRE1IND, ASIN B00BDTF0PW, at £7.50: 4.7 from 4,731 reviews, a 50 g bottle and a 200 ml activator, a bond within 10 seconds, and a gap up to 0.2 mm. Reviewers name skirting, architrave and other trim. Sika’s August 2025 sheet describes the same class of kit: ethyl cyanoacrylate, a hydrocarbon activator, about 10 seconds, and a 0.2 mm gap. Skip it when you still need to nudge the joint. Once the faces touch, reviewers say they cannot slide. The water field on this ASIN says Not Water Resistant, while two other Mitre Fast listings say Water Resistant. The Sika extract has no waterproof claim, so we do not merge those fields. The August 2025 sheet still titles the product Everbuild Mitre Fast. If the joint must still move after contact, see epoxy or mitre adhesive.

Best-value epoxy

The best value epoxy is Araldite Rapid ARA-400005, ASIN B003MPEDFI, at £7.85. It is two 15 ml tubes, 4.6 from 4,653 reviews, a water-resistant field, and a full-cure cell of 2 hours, with sanding and painting also stated at 2 hours. You mix equal parts for about 30 seconds. Trade sheets put pot life around 5–8 minutes for a 100 g mix at 25°C. The 2 hour line is the amazon.co.uk field for this ASIN, not a result from our bench. The manufacturer cell says VELCRO Brand, which does not match the tube, and that fault is already in the score. The tubes are small, and a large mix gets messy. The bullets say not to use it as a rear-view mirror adhesive. Skip these tubes for a 10 second mitre, or if the plastic might be polyethylene or polypropylene.

When neither pick is the one

J-B Weld PlasticBonder, 25 ml at £7.84, has 4.5 from 17,667 reviews, the largest count in the set. It is a black urethane syringe with a 3,770 PSI figure, a 15 minute set, and a water-resistant field. Open it for a hard plastic clip or a small composite break, not as the general top pick. The full-cure cell repeats 15 minutes, the plunger dumps the syringe in several reviews, and one car-trim review called the plastic only marginally compatible. The US maker page quotes a different clock, so follow the leaflet. J-B Weld Original, two dark grey 25 ml syringes at £9.10, is the metal-filled epoxy, with 5,020 PSI and a water field that says Not Water Resistant. Its cure cell prints 1,524 hours and the heat line says 550 with no unit, so those cells are not specifications. Use it for a small metal repair in a warm room.

High stars and big bottles that are not the pick

A 4.8 from 50 ratings does not outrank the £7.50 kit’s 4,731 reviews. MITRE2 at £8.99 titles itself 100 g and 400 ml, while one bullet still says 50 g and 200 ml, so it is not the better-value large kit until the bottles match. The unbranded 250 ml pair at £22.89 has 4.6 from 108 reviews, an empty brand field, and texts that include bonds that did not hold. Standard Araldite at £7.47 is the slow overnight epoxy. We did not measure lap shear.

Common questions

What is the top pick in this set, and for which job?
Everbuild Mitre Fast 50 g, B00BDTF0PW, at £7.50, with 4.7 from 4,731 reviews. It leads for a tight mitre you can align before the faces touch: about 10 seconds and a stated gap of 0.2 mm. It does not lead for a joint you must still slide, a wider gap, or a wet repair. This ASIN’s water field says Not Water Resistant.
Why is the 4.8-star kit not first?
EVEMF/KIT is 4.8 from 50 ratings at £8.21, and the written file has 12 short texts. MITRE1IND is 4.7 from 4,731 reviews at £7.50 for the same size line, and the page agrees with itself. A small sample can sit higher on stars and still tell you less about clogged nozzles and repeat use.
Which pack is the best-value epoxy?
Araldite Rapid ARA-400005 at £7.85, two 15 ml tubes, 4.6 from 4,653 reviews, with a 2 hour full-cure field on that listing. The manufacturer cell says VELCRO Brand, which is wrong for the tube. It is the epoxy for a supported household break, not a 10 second mitre and not a rear-view mirror.
Who should buy PlasticBonder instead?
Buy the 25 ml black syringe for a hard plastic clip, car trim or a small composite, if you can accept a black mend. It has the most reviews in the set and a 3,770 PSI line. It is a poor match for a clear repair or a mitre that must grab in seconds. The UK cure cell and the US maker page do not share one clock.
Is the 250 ml kit better because it is bigger?
No. At £22.89 it has 4.6 from 108 reviews, no brand name, and a file that includes failed bonds. One household break still fits a named £7–£8 pack with thousands of reviews. Buy the large bottles only if you will use the volume and you accept an unnamed maker.
