Corrugated sheets buying guide

Updated: 23 October 2026

You searched corrugated sheets and the results mixed a shed panel, a floor sheet and a mailing pad. They share a wavy profile on amazon.co.uk. They do not share a job. This corrugated sheets buying guide asks you to name the job, then reject every listing in this set that is the wrong material or the wrong thickness. Prices and star lines sit on the [corrugated sheets comparison](/hub/diy-supplies/corrugated-sheets). Peter F., editor for DIY supplies, used the amazon.co.uk figures compiled on 20 October 2026. Pick the job before the sheet

Four jobs turn up under one search, and only one belongs in the basket. A roof or a wall wants galvanised steel. A decorating floor wants fluted polypropylene that stays firm when paint or rain hits it. A small outdoor sign wants that same plastic, in a size you can carry. A flat parcel wants kraft, and only while the job stays dry. A £9.95 pack of A4 kraft will not roof a shed. Twenty brown A4 sheets at 297 x 210 mm belong in a document wallet, not on the eaves of a felt shed. If the hallway is wet from decorating, put the kraft pad back, because paper flute softens once it is soaked. Floors, signs and parcels stay on corrugated plastic or cardboard sheets. Bitumen corrugated sheet is a low-pitch shed alternative in UK articles, and it is not an ASIN here.

Steel gauge and net cover

UK trade pages for full-length corrugated steel talk about 0.5 mm as the common shed gauge and 0.7 mm when the span or the exposure increases. Cladco sells its corrugated range in those two thicknesses, with a pitch near 10 degrees. Every steel ASIN here states 0.25 mm, on panels of about 110 x 46 cm, or 115 x 45 cm on the Warmfay title. A 0.25 mm panel can still be what a reviewer screws to a small shed, a kennel or a rabbit run. It is flimsy in the hand, and it is not a claim that the pack meets BS EN 14782. Sellers quote gross area. A side lap of one or two corrugations, plus an end lap, comes off every figure. Buy to the title square metres and the last bay is short. Laps and screws are on how to fit corrugated roofing sheets.

Plastic sheet and kraft pad

Water splits the two wavy boards that are not steel. Trade explainers use Correx as the usual UK name for fluted polypropylene on signs, reusable packs and temporary floors. Kraft fails once it is wet. The only full-size plastic floor sheet here is Floor Nation: two black sheets, 2.4 x 1.2 m, stated 4 mm. Packs of one to four sheets arrive rolled. The listing does not mention LPS 1207, so it is not a flame-retardant certificate. Paper flute height matters more than the word thick. E flute is about 1.5 mm, B about 3 mm, C about 4 mm. yuejuhe states 1.8 mm, and a reviewer measured 1.0 mm. A single-face roll wraps a curve. It does not stiffen an A4 print.

What to leave out of the basket

A roof pack without a ridge is unfinished. Mondeer lists fourteen sheets, and a reviewer could not find a matching ridge. Harbour sells five caps separately for one 14-sheet pack. Warmfay claims 400 screws, and one reviewer said they were too small. Mondeer's bullets and one UK review disagree on pre-drilled holes. Check the panels before you plan the morning. Do not add Harbour's two colour ratings. Anthracite and green share one text at 4.6 from 51. Do not treat a paper roll's 4.5 as a UK score, and do not crown three ratings on a floor sheet as the best sheet in the set. Named choices are on best corrugated sheets.

Common questions

Are corrugated sheets metal, plastic or cardboard?
All three appear under the same amazon.co.uk search. In this set the metal listings are short galvanised packs stated at 0.25 mm, the plastic runs from a 40 cm board to a 2.4 x 1.2 m floor sheet, and the cardboard is kraft pads or a single-face roll. The wavy shape is all they share. Name the job, then leave the other materials in the results.
What thickness do UK trade guides use for a shed?
Cladco and DL Group sell full-length corrugated steel at 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm. Cladco treats about 10 degrees as the pitch for their system. The steel ASINs here all state 0.25 mm on panels around 110 cm long. That is a different product, and it is not a claim that these packs meet BS EN 14782.
Why does a seller's square-metre claim overstate the cover?
The title multiplies length by width and ignores the laps. One or two corrugations at the side, plus an end lap, is sheet you pay for and cannot count as new cover. Warmfay already disagrees with itself: 12.42 m² in the title and 11.88 m² in the unit count. Buy to the net area after overlap.
Can an A4 kraft pad stiffen a print?
yuejuhe's 20-pack, stated 1.8 mm, has 4.5 from 589 ratings. Reviewers have posted A4 prints with it, and others measured about 1.0 mm and called the board too flexible. UK print mailers that need real stiffness are usually a heavier double-wall board. Use this pad for light parcels and craft, and add a stiffer board if the print must stay flat on its own.
What size is a full plastic floor sheet?
Floor Nation is two sheets at 2.4 x 1.2 m and a stated 4 mm. NBEADS is about 40.2 x 30.2 cm, sold as yard-sign blanks. Ten small boards do not make a floor sheet. The Floor Nation pair is delivered rolled, so you flatten it before it protects anything.
Do these roof packs include a ridge and usable screws?
Mondeer's included components are fourteen sheets, and a reviewer said the brand does not sell a matching ridge. Harbour sells caps separately. Warmfay claims 400 screws, and one reviewer said they were too small. Harbour's shared review describes bolt heads that strip. Plan on your own self-drilling screws with seal washers, and buy the ridge as its own line.
