VEVOR air compressor UK plug

Updated: October 2026

You are about to plug a compressor into a UK wall, and the listing says 110 V in the table and 220 V in a bullet, or it prints 40 A next to a small pump. A VEVOR air compressor UK plug question is two checks: will this unit run from a 230 V BS 1363 socket, and is the air something you must not breathe. The [VEVOR air compressor comparison](/hub/compressors/vevor-air-compressor) holds the twelve rows. Products Compared compiled this on 16 October 2026 from those listings and from GOV.UK and HSE, with no lab test. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. None of the twelve ASINs is branded VEVOR.

What a UK socket requires

UK mains are 230 V, and the plug that belongs in a UK socket is a BS 1363 13 A plug. A European plug is a buying problem. The only bullet in this set that states a standard 13 A UK plug is the Hyundai HY5508X, an 8 litre workshop receiver, not a 300 bar pump. The HY7524X states 230 V and a 13 A current. Its bullets do not say a 13 A UK plug. None of the ten PCP bullets states a 13 A plug. One GX review mentions a 3-pin transformer plug, and one TXET063 review says that unit came with a UK plug. Those are single units, not the listing spec.

110 V tables and 220 V bullets

If the table and the bullet disagree, the listing has not shown a safe UK plug. Do not average the two numbers. Four TUXING pages print 110 V in the table and 220 V, or both, in a bullet. A UK review of the TXEDB062 wants a 240 V to 110 V transformer. One TUDIVING name says UK and still does not state a 13 A plug. The about £130.99 TUXING and the SDKEHUI state 220 V only. UK reviews describe touchable live parts and exposed terminals. Reject those listings. They are not the recalled VEVOR. The GX table says 12 V and the bullet says 230 V through a converter. A 13 A plug is still not named.

40 A is the 12 V draw

Several TUXING listings print 40 A or 42 A. On the about £179.90 TXES062, a 15 October 2026 snippet puts that figure in the 12 V car-battery sentence. About 40 A is that battery draw, not a mains current. The Hyundais print 13 A beside 230 V.

VEVOR plugs and the recalls

The recalls do not map onto a TUXING, a GX, or a Hyundai in this set. GOV.UK alert PSD 2208-0358, published on 30 June 2023, recalls a Vevor PCP compressor, customer label GYDQBZT0000000001V2, over electric shock and a counterfeit plug, fuse, and cable. It cites the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994. If your label matches, stop using it. PSD 2211-0051 is a separate model, 220-110v-12v, rejected at the border. The shop unit at about £229.99 is not an ASIN here, and the shop reply says it has a European plug.

Not breathing air, and the pressure-system line

BS EN 12021:2014 is the breathing-gas standard. HSE's DVIS9 expects a test at least every three months where a compressor supplies divers at work. Oil-free is not that test. Do not breathe the air. Rifle fill steps are on the how to use a PCP air compressor page. Under the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000, some written-scheme duties drop when each non-steam vessel is under 250 bar litres. Both Hyundais sit under that line on the listed figures. A 1 litre cylinder at 300 bar is 300 bar litres. That does not by itself make a private hobby fill a workplace scheme. After the plug is clear, use the VEVOR air compressor buying guide.

Common questions

Will this compressor plug into a UK 13 A socket?
Only the Hyundai HY5508X states a standard 13 A UK plug in the bullet, and that is a workshop receiver. The PCP pumps do not state that plug. A European plug, which VEVOR's own shop reply admits on an about £229.99 unit outside this set, will not go into a BS 1363 socket as it is.
The table says 110 V and the bullet says 220 V. Which do I trust?
Neither, until they agree. This page does not tell you to prefer the bullet or the table. Listings with both figures have not shown a safe UK connection. Reject them or get the voltage from the plate on the unit, and do not average the two numbers. Four TUXING pages in this set print that split.
Does 40 A mean it needs a 40 A mains circuit?
No. On these PCP listings, about 40 A is the 12 V battery draw. A snippet on the about £179.90 TXES062 places that figure in the car-battery sentence. The Hyundai 13 A lines are the mains-side figures, and they belong to the workshop receivers.
Was a VEVOR PCP compressor recalled in the UK?
Yes. PSD 2208-0358, published on 30 June 2023, recalls a Vevor PCP compressor with customer label GYDQBZT0000000001V2 over electric shock and a counterfeit plug, fuse, and cable. PSD 2211-0051 reports a separate model, 220-110v-12v, rejected at the border. Neither report is one of the twelve ASINs here. If your label matches the first one, stop using it.
Is the £229.99 VEVOR shop unit the recalled one?
You cannot tell from the price or from a similar marketing title. Compare the label on the unit with GYDQBZT0000000001V2 and stop using a match. The shop reply says that current unit has a European plug, which is already a reason it does not suit a UK socket. This page does not clear it, and it is not an ASIN in the twelve.
Does oil-free or a scuba filter make the air safe to breathe?
No. BS EN 12021 breathing gas supplied at work is tested on a schedule, at least every three months in the HSE note, not by a title that says oil-free. An external filter bullet on two TUXING pages is not that test. Do not breathe the air from these pumps.
Do the printed decibel figures meet UK noise law?
They are not a noise assessment. Employer duties use 80 and 85 dB(A) as action values and 87 dB(A) as a limit. A listing that prints 60 dB, or 75 to 85 dB, has not carried out that assessment, whether the number sits under or over those values. A stated decibel line is not a workplace measurement.
