Bosch pressure washer buying guide

Updated: 21.10.2026

You already want a Bosch, and amazon.co.uk still looks like a ladder of bar numbers. On 19 October 2026 the seven listings in our [Bosch pressure washer comparison](/hub/compressors/bosch-pressure-washer) ran from an EasyAquatak 100 at £56.99 to an AdvancedAquatak 140 at £208.99, plus a Fontus body that is not an Aquatak. This Bosch pressure washer buying guide, from the Products Compared editorial team, matches the range, the carton and the price. It is not a lab test and it does not name a winner. Which Bosch range matches the job

Fontus is for bikes away from a tap, Easy for light work, Universal for a car and a medium patio, and Advanced for a large hard surface. That map is not a test of these seven listings. A balcony stays in Easy. A large drive that a 100 bar washer could not finish is the reason to leave Easy. Who should skip each pick is on the best Bosch pressure washer page. On this shelf the 100 is £56.99, the bare 120 is £89.95, the 135 is £108 and the 140 is £208.99.

Flow, hose, and what the bar number leaves out

Litres per hour change the wait more than a 15 bar step in the name. The 100 is 330 L/h, both 120s are 350 L/h, the 125 is 360 L/h, and the 135 and the 140 are both 450 L/h. Moving from the bare 120 to the 135 is 100 extra litres an hour and two extra metres of hose. Bosch’s manual rates the 140 pump at 11 MPa (110 bar), while the allowable pressure and the name say 140 bar. Do not shop as if 140 bar were the continuous working pressure. The 140’s hose field says 8 m and a highlight says 5 m. Use 8 m. These listings do not state a BS 1363 plug, so check the lead you receive. The 120 against the 135 is on the EasyAquatak vs UniversalAquatak page.

Two EasyAquatak 120s and the other cartons

The two EasyAquatak 120 listings are different packs. Part 06008A7971 is the bare machine at £89.95 and 4.1 kg, with fan, rotary and detergent nozzles and no patio cleaner. Part 06008A7972 is the kit at £130.86 and 5.1 kg, the only carton here with a 250 patio cleaner and a wash brush. Pressure and flow match the bare 120. One bullet still says 100 bar, against the 120 bar pressure field. About £41 more buys the head, not a stronger pump and not a longer hose.

Fields that are not specs

Corded tank-volume lines are not onboard tanks. The kit’s 350 litre field matches the flow figure. The 140’s 15 litre field sits beside a 550 ml detergent nozzle. Only the Fontus states a 6 litre tank. The EasyAquatak 100 weight field says 209 g. Bosch DIY lists 3.7 kg for that class, so the comparison leaves the Amazon weight unused. A quieter-operation bullet on the 125 has no decibel, and no model here publishes one. The Fontus listing does not state bar or flow. Bosch’s page states about 20 bar, which is not on this amazon.co.uk listing.

What to shortlist

Shortlist one tier, then one carton. Bikes with no tap take the Fontus only if you already own an 18 V POWER FOR ALL battery. Mains models need a UK socket with RCD protection. A Schuko-only lead would be a buying problem. These pages do not show a printed BS 1363 claim. A damaged lead is an electrician’s job.

Common questions

Is a higher bar number always the better Bosch?
No. The UniversalAquatak 135 at 135 bar and 450 L/h is the more useful home machine next to the 125 at 125 bar, because it also has more flow, a longer hose and a lower price on this capture. The AdvancedAquatak 140’s name says 140 bar, while the manual rates the pump at 11 MPa. Buy the range for the job, then compare litres per hour and the carton.
What is the difference between EasyAquatak, UniversalAquatak and AdvancedAquatak?
EasyAquatak is the compact corded class, here at 100 or 120 bar and 330 or 350 L/h. UniversalAquatak is the mid class, and the 135 reaches 450 L/h with a 7 m hose. AdvancedAquatak is the heavy 2100 W machine at 17.6 kg on the listing. The split is Bosch’s task map, not a laboratory ranking. Fontus is a low-pressure cordless cleaner beside that map, not a fourth Aquatak.
Are the two EasyAquatak 120 listings the same machine?
They share the pressure class and the 5 m hose, and they are different packs. Part 06008A7971 at £89.95 has fan, rotary and detergent nozzles and no patio cleaner. Part 06008A7972 at £130.86 adds a 250 patio cleaner and a wash brush. One bullet on the kit says 100 bar. The pressure field says 120 bar. Without the head, the dearer listing is the same pump at a higher price.
Does the Fontus replace a corded Aquatak?
No. This Fontus 18V-6 is a body-only cleaner with a 6 litre tank and eight settings, and the listing does not state a bar figure. Bosch’s page puts it near 20 bar for bikes and kit away from a tap, and the battery and charger are extra. A patio or a car on a drive still points to a corded Aquatak. Seventeen reviews are not a settled substitute.
How long a hose do I actually get?
The EasyAquatak 100 says 3 m. Both 120s and the UniversalAquatak 125 say 5 m. The 135 says 7 m. The 140 hose field says 8 m, even though a highlight says 5 m. That length is the high-pressure hose. A hose from the tap is separate.
