Best video door intercom for the cable you already have

Updated: 16 October 2026

Nine amazon.co.uk kits, read on 15 October 2026, run from about £58.99 to about £207.99, and they do not suit the same porch. The best video door intercom here matches the conductors you can see and the person who answers. A review count is not a laboratory test, and Which? does not score these listings. The EZVIZ CP5 is the top pick when two wires are already in the wall and you also want a phone. The single-monitor TMEZON is the best value when you have four cores and will not make an account. Figures are in the [video door intercom comparison](/hub/burglar-protection/video-door-intercom). The Products Compared editorial team read the listings and did not fit the stations. Two wires already in the wall

The EZVIZ CP5, about £161.49 with 4.4 from 1,330 reviews, is the listing that states a 2-wire install. The maker also says 4-wire is possible. You get a 7 inch colour touch screen, 1080p across 134°, and infrared stated at about 5 metres. Unlock is from the monitor, the EZVIZ app, or two RFID tags. Clips go to a microSD of up to 512 GB or to CloudPlay, and a card is not stated as included. The linking cable is not included, and weatherproof has no IP code. If you have not counted the cores, use wired or wireless video door phone before the review count decides the buy.

Four cores, one screen or two

The TMEZON MZ-V20 is a 7 inch monitor on a 4-wire bus at about £79.99, with 4.2 from 416 reviews. It rings on a press, and you can open a live view with no app. The outdoor unit is IP65. Unlock is from the monitor, the extension cable is not in the box, and a UK review returned one because it does not connect to a phone. That is the best value if four cores are intact and one hallway screen is enough. The two-monitor TMEZON, about £135.99 with 4.1 from 153 reviews, adds call transfer, and each screen needs a socket. The QingTianTongYun V168M4 is the same about £79.99 for a 4.3 inch screen, 4.0 from 34 reviews, and a stated 100 metre 4-core limit. Its camera is 700TVL, which is not 1080p. None of the three includes the strike. The cable you still buy is covered in how to install a video door intercom.

A screen and no account

The TKMARS 016-1 is about £58.99 with 3.9 from 748 reviews. The 4.3 inch screen is 640 × 480, speech is push-to-talk, and the camera starts only when the button is pressed. Open air is 50 metres and indoors 5 to 10 metres. About 30 photos sit on the unit without a card. The screen stays on a socket, with about 30 minutes of backup. The bullets say 2.4 GHz and the specification says Bluetooth. The Winnes K18S is about £62.99 with six reviews, and you can wake the camera from the screen. The Winnes 0K18S is about £59.99 with 3.2 from 15 reviews, none marked United Kingdom. Skip both if you want a file you can lean on.

A 7 inch screen plus an app

The ACEBELL, about £189.99 with 4.4 from 74 reviews, is the battery kit when you want a 7 inch touchscreen, TuyaSmart, and a 32 GB card the listing says is fitted. The outdoor unit is IP55 with a 160° lens. The door-to-monitor link is claimed with or without the router. The app still needs Wi-Fi. The 7,000 mAh cell is quoted at about 45 to 60 days. An ACEBELL review describes about two days and a missing hard-wire connector, so that long figure stays a listing claim. Live view is capped at 5 minutes, and a metal door is ruled out. The XPJ TL-WF701 copies much of that pattern at about £207.99 with 4.4 from 31 reviews, and the 32 GB card is missing from the parts list.

Common questions

Which kit is for two wires already in the wall?
The EZVIZ CP5, at about £161.49, states a 2-wire install. A UK review says you need two wires, ideally a twisted pair. The maker also allows 4-wire, which does not turn a TMEZON into a 2-wire kit. The app needs Wi-Fi. The indoor screen is what still answers if the router is off.
Which kit is for four cores and a second screen upstairs?
The two-monitor TMEZON at about £135.99 has two 7 inch screens and call transfer. Each needs a socket, and the extension cable is not included. One hallway screen is the single TMEZON at about £79.99. The V168M4 is the 4.3 inch alternative at the same price, with a stated 100 metre 4-core limit and 34 reviews. None of them rings a phone.
Is the EZVIZ the best because it has 1,330 reviews?
It is the top pick here because of 2-wire support, a 7 inch screen, and unlock from the monitor, the app or a tag, with that review file behind it. The 4.4 from 1,330 is not a lab test and not a Which? result. Four cores and no account point to the TMEZON at about £79.99, which is the best value in this set.
Why are there two Winnes listings?
They are different pages. The about £59.99 0K18S is 3.2 from 15 reviews, none marked United Kingdom, and the specification omits the screen size. The about £62.99 K18S states 4.3 inches and has six reviews, including a unit dead within five minutes. The TKMARS has 748 reviews for a similar no-account job.
Who should not buy the £207.99 XPJ?
Skip it if the ACEBELL at about £189.99 already gives you a 7 inch Tuya screen with a card named in the parts list, or if two wires make the EZVIZ the closer match. The XPJ card is only in the bullets, door release is not stated, and 31 reviews is a thin file at the highest price here.
