Pool lilo buying guide

Updated: 21 October 2026

You are choosing a float for a villa, a hotel, or a garden pool, and amazon.co.uk puts a vinyl lilo, a mesh hammock, and a lounger in the same row. This pool lilo buying guide is the order to use before you sort by stars: the shape, then the inflated size and the stated load, then whether a pump or a repair patch is named. Shelf prices in this set, captured on 19 October 2026, run from £7.46 to £22.99. The ten listings and the conflicts in each row are in the [air mattress pool comparison](/hub/swimming-pools/air-mattress-pool). A qualifying purchase can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. We read the UK listings and review notes, and we did not float-test them.

Three shapes, one shelf

A pool air mattress here is one of three shapes, and the title often hides which. A vinyl lilo is a full bed of air. The Intex 18-pocket fashion mat at £14.60 is listed at 188 x 71.1 cm with an I-beam pillow, and the Intex pair at £8.50 is two thinner mats with bullets of about 186 x 69 cm. A mesh hammock is an inflated frame with a net you sit in, which is what most "4 in 1" wording means. UMUACCAN, Xndryan, WuYuLunBi, and Alintor are that shape. Splosh at £13.50 is a mesh lilo, 146 x 73 cm, closer to a hammock than to a solid bed. A lounger adds a backrest: the Bestway at £16.90 has a headrest, armrests, and a cup holder. The Best Sellers shelf mixes these with animal rings. We removed a guest air bed with a built-in electric pump, and a flamingo ring, because neither is a pool mattress. If the dry bed or the cool net is the decision, the lilo vs pool hammock page is that choice on its own. Pick the shape, then check the size.

Size and stated load

Read the floating size, not the packed size. Alintor's grid prints 24 x 21 cm for a two-pack hammock, and that figure is the parcel, not the float, so you cannot tell whether a tall adult fits. Splosh prints 146 x 73 cm and a packed size of 23 x 17 x 5 cm: one number for the water, one for the case. One reviewer of the £8.50 Intex pair measured about 42 cm across once it was inflated, against a bullet of 69 cm. That is one reviewer's tape, not a lab width. Bestway's bullets say 1.61 m by 84 cm while the grid prints 157.5 x 88.9 cm. Stated load is the seller's claim, and this comparison did not test any kilogram figure. Readable claims are 80 kg on Splosh, 100 kg on WuYuLunBi and in the Bestway bullets, 150 kg on Alintor, and 250 lb on UMUACCAN. Do not use the fashion mat's 1 kg or the pair's 400 kg as a limit. PoolPro's page for that fashion-mat shape says 100 kg, which is a retailer cross-check, not a replacement for the amazon.co.uk grid. Bestway also prints 440 lb beside 100 kg. Do not average them. ROUSKY prints 200 kg, and reviewers dispute it. CNMTCCO prints no load.

Pump, patch, and colour

Count a pump only when the listing names it. Xndryan includes one manual inflator for two hammocks. WuYuLunBi's bullets claim two pumps, and more than one reviewer still reported a missing pump. Intex, Bestway, Splosh, and UMUACCAN do not include one. Reviewers blow a mesh ring up by mouth. A full vinyl bed is what they struggle with, and the Intex pair's reviews say a strong pump is needed. A repair patch counts the same way. The Intex fashion mat and Splosh name one, though at least one buyer of each reported it missing. The Intex pair names a patch in the bullets while the component line says only "toy". Bestway's component line does not name a patch. Assorted colour means you may not get the photo. The fashion mat sends one random shade, and a picture that looks like three mats is still one mat. Bestway's title says assorted colours while the colour field says blue. Splosh is listed as aqua green. Inflating, closing the valve, and drying the float are on the how to inflate a pool lilo page. Do that once while you can still send it back.

What the reviews repeat

Stars for the floats people keep sit around 4.1 to 4.4, and that band still mixes a fortnight of use with a seam split on day one. A star average is not proof the welds last a summer. The Intex fashion mat, at 4.3 from 3,253, is the file where a week of air is a common report, beside a thin sheet and a seam leak. Xndryan, at 4.4 from 661, packs small, and the seam where the net meets the pillow is the failure reviewers name. Bright hammocks transfer dye: a blue stain from Xndryan, a pink transfer on UMUACCAN, and white mesh gone yellow from sunscreen. CNMTCCO at 3.5 from 106, and ROUSKY at 3.3 from 48, sit under that pattern. Their notes are first-use splits and a size reviewers do not believe. ROUSKY is £22.99, the top price here, and a higher price is not a safety rating. Leave a listing in the basket when the shape matches the job, a floating size is printed, and the pump or patch you are counting is named. About £7.50 to £8.50 is the entry band, and about £12 to £17 is the middle. The live price can move.

Common questions

What size pool lilo fits an adult?
The Intex fashion mat prints 188 x 71.1 cm, and some tall reviewers say they can lie on it. Splosh prints 146 x 73 cm, and reviews split between adults who find it small and people of about 5 ft. The £8.50 Intex pair prints about 186 x 69 cm, and one reviewer measured about 42 cm once it was up. Alintor's 24 x 21 cm is a packed size. Use the inflated figure.
Is a mesh hammock the same as a lilo?
No. A vinyl lilo is a full air bed you lie on. A mesh hammock is a ring with a net, so water reaches your back and the pack is smaller. Splosh uses both names, which is why they overlap on amazon.co.uk. The Bestway lounger is a third shape, with a backrest, and it is not a hammock. Choose the feel first.
Does a pool lilo come with a pump?
Only when the component line or the bullets name one. In this set that is Xndryan, with one manual pump for two hammocks, and WuYuLunBi, whose bullets claim two pumps that reviewers sometimes do not receive. The Intex mats, the Bestway lounger, Splosh, and the UMUACCAN hammock do not include a pump. Mouth inflation is what mesh reviews describe. A vinyl mattress wants a pump you already own.
Should I trust the kilogram limit on the listing?
Treat every kilogram line as the seller's text. Splosh's 80 kg, WuYuLunBi's 100 kg, the Bestway bullet of 100 kg, Alintor's 150 kg, and UMUACCAN's 250 lb were not tested here. Do not use the fashion mat's 1 kg, the pair's 400 kg, or ROUSKY's 200 kg as a capacity. Bestway's grid also says 440 lb, which clashes with 100 kg.
Why do the colours not match the photo?
Assorted colour is a lottery. The Intex fashion mat is one random shade, and the box holds one mat even when the photo looks like three. Bestway's title says assorted colours, and reviewers report a shade they did not order. Splosh's aqua green is a named variant. Bright hammocks can also stain skin. Check the variant name before you trust the picture.
Is a two-pack better value than one better-known brand?
Only when each float has a size you can read. Xndryan is two hammocks at a stated 130 x 70 cm, plus a pump, at £11.99, which is the best value here. The Intex pair at £8.50 is cheaper, and a reviewer's width of about 42 cm keeps it from being the safer saving. Alintor at £15.99 has no inflated size. One Intex fashion mat at £14.60 is the top pick for a single vinyl bed.
