Which day beds in this set have a hood

The Bali listings and the Seychelles listings are the canopy sets. The love beds are not. If the search started from shade, the £149.99 love bed is the wrong saving, however well it fits a balcony. EVRE's collection text puts the love beds towards covered patios and describes the canopy as water-repellent. Water-repellent is a fabric claim. It is not the same sentence as leave it out all winter. On the mixed-grey Bali, B08DXBR2DY, the description is an extendable canopy, the waterproof field is False, and a cover is not in the components. The price is £255.99, at 4.3 from 417. The black Bali, B09B852HVD, at £269.99 and 4.1 from 34, says showerproof in the bullets and has no waterproof field. An empty field is not a yes. Both Seychelles colours, £319.99 in brown and £349.99 in grey, say showerproof and retractable, with an assisted hydraulic lift, and both have the waterproof field set to False.

Showerproof is not waterproof

A showerproof hood is for sun and a light shower. It is not a waterproof furniture cover. Where the waterproof field is filled in on these canopy ASINs, it is False, next to a bullet that still says showerproof or extendable. B&Q's mixed-grey Bali bundle calls the canopy showerproof and adds a separate waterproof Oxford cover. That bundle is £339.99 and it is not one of the amazon.co.uk ASINs here. EVRE's own Bali page marks cover included as No and tells you to use a weatherproof cover, with cushion covers hand-washed only. Read that as a care instruction, not as a test certificate. One black Bali review mentions rust after one week. That is a complaint for the seller, not a finding you can paste onto every frame in the set.

Height, and the cover you still buy

The canopy class in this comparison is about 143-148 cm high. On B08DXBR2DY the size is 180 x 160 x 143 cm, so the hood is the third number. A pergola beam, a low branch, or a rotary washing line will meet that top before the footprint feels wrong. One black Bali review said the canopy bar was uncomfortable on the neck when sitting up. That is one comment about posture, not a defect rate. The separate cover is the part these amazon.co.uk rows do not include. Buy a cover that fits the footprint you measured, put it on dry furniture, and take it off to dry if it has sat wet. Do not copy B&Q's 300 kg line onto B08DXBR2DY unless that ASIN's own page says it. If the hood was the product, stay with Bali or Seychelles and budget for the cover beside it.

The strut, and when to stop using the hood

The Seychelles bullets name an assisted hydraulic lift and tell you to tie the canopy back. The Bali description talks about an extendable canopy rather than that strut. If the hood will not stay up, or a strut drops, stop using it and speak to the retailer. The General Product Safety Regulations 2005, as they apply in Great Britain, treat an unsafe product as a fault to be dealt with. Do not recharge a strut, and do not borrow a replacement from a different brand. A retractable hood left half-open will catch wind. Fold it back as the listing describes when you are not under it, and do not leave the cushions out because the hood happens to be up. Hand-wash the covers and store the pads indoors in adverse weather. This page stops at the claim: sun and a light shower, then a separate cover, and a retailer if the strut will not hold.

Is a showerproof canopy waterproof?
No. Showerproof describes the hood for sun and a light shower. Where amazon.co.uk fills in a waterproof field for these canopy ASINs, that field is False. EVRE still tells you to use a weatherproof cover.
Does the hood replace a rain cover?
It does not. The mixed-grey Bali's components list does not include a cover, and EVRE's own page says the cover is not included. Overnight rain and winter storage need a separate cover, with the cushions brought in.
How high is the canopy?
About 143-148 cm in this set. The mixed-grey Bali prints 143 cm as the third figure in 180 x 160 x 143 cm. That is the top of the hood, so check beams and branches before you build.
What is a hydraulic or gas-strut lift?
On the Seychelles, the bullets call it an assisted hydraulic lift that helps raise the retractable canopy, which you then tie back. The waterproof field on those listings is False. If the strut will not hold, stop and contact the seller.
What if the hood will not stay up?
Stop using it and contact the amazon.co.uk seller. A strut that drops is a safety fault, not a home adjustment. Do not prop the hood with a makeshift pole.
