The Amazon Basics set, B01LQV4ML4, is a fabric hammock, a steel stand and a carrying case at £75.99 and 13.6 kg. The title prints 117 cm x 300 cm x 100 cm. The bullets say a bed of 94 x 63 inches and a 9 foot stand. Keep both sizes. The VITA5, B091386DD3, is £89.19 and 18.2 kg. Item dimensions are 3.7 x 1 m, and a bullet says a 3.50 m stand, so both lengths stay. The mat is a cotton and polyester mix on a powder-coated steel frame, with a side table, a cup holder and a pillow. The quilted GOCAN, B0D4DZM3VH, is £145.97 and 17.7 kg, with a stand, spreader bars, and chains and rope in the parts line. The bed is 2.2 x 1.5 m. All three are car-boot weight. Height and the floor

A complete kit can still hang too low. On the Amazon Basics stand, a UK review says the first hook notch was too low and the second worked. Sit in it on the notch you will use. The bullets say 450 lb and the specification line says 181 kg, so use 181 kg as the lower figure. The quilted GOCAN fails this test in the only UK review in the file. Set up as instructed, the bed hovers about an inch off the ground, the frame is wobbly, and the chains are unusable. If the bed touches the floor with you in it, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 9, is the route for a product that is not of satisfactory quality.

Getting in without tipping

Height and tipping are different faults. A bed can clear the ground and still throw you out when you sit off-centre. One VITA5 reviewer who says they are 300 lb and 6 ft 3 in describes ending on the floor until they learned the balance, and does not trust a reach to the drinks holder. Another says a partner fell out and was hurt. A later UK review says it fits 1.5 adults or two teenagers. The title and the specification line both say 200 kg. Sit in the middle, sit back, and bring your legs up. Do not reach for the cup holder until you know which way the frame rolls.

Who should buy which

For a patio with no trees, open the Amazon Basics stand first. You get the largest review file, a carrying case, and a hook height you can change, at £75.99 and 13.6 kg. Check the notch with your weight in the bed, and accept that a UK review doubts a side-by-side lie. Choose the VITA5 at £89.19 if the side table is the point, and only if you will practise getting in. At 18.2 kg it is the heaviest of the three. If the trees are fine after all, you do not need any of these frames.

How heavy is each set?
The Amazon Basics set is 13.6 kg. The quilted GOCAN is 17.7 kg. The VITA5 is 18.2 kg. A review in the Amazon Basics file puts the carry weight at about 15 kg and says it is not for backpacking. Plan on the car boot. A nylon hammock with straps in the same comparison weighs under 1 kg and needs trees instead.
What did UK reviews say about hook height on the Amazon Basics?
One UK review says the first notch was too low and the second worked. The same review doubts the hammock would stretch to the remaining notches. Assembly was still short, with the screws in the box and no instructions in that parcel. A notch that looks fine while the bed is empty can drop once you sit down.
Why do people tip out of the VITA5?
UK reviews describe the open bed rolling while you get in or reach sideways. One reviewer who gives their size as 300 lb and 6 ft 3 in ended on the floor until the balance made sense. Another says a partner fell out and was hurt. Sit centrally before you lean towards the drinks table. The reviews do not say the frame collapses.
Why is the GOCAN stand the weak one despite the price?
It is £145.97, rated 3.2 from 13 reviews. The only UK review says the frame is wobbly, the chains are unusable, and the bed sits about an inch off the ground. The Amazon Basics stand costs £75.99 and has 6,136 reviews. Spending more did not buy a higher rating or a bed that clears the floor.
Will two adults lie side by side on the Amazon Basics?
The bullets say it accommodates two adults. A UK review is not sure two people could lie next to each other and says it suits a larger person. Another found it too large for one person and ordered a single as well. Read those reviews against the 94 x 63 inch bed before you buy it as a couple’s lounger.
