Best pop rivets to buy: the £19.99 box or £8.49 mix

Updated: 22 October 2026

You want one pack of pop rivets from this comparison, not the whole amazon.co.uk grid. By the end you should know the top pick, the best value, and which cards to leave. The judgement uses only the listings in the [blind rivets comparison](/hub/screws-and-accessories/blind-rivets). Scores are an editorial sort of these cards: job match, stars, review sample, consistency and value. They are not a laboratory test. What best can mean here

None of these cards publishes a shear load, an ISO certificate, or a structural rating. Best pop rivets here means the clearest ordinary dome assortment that names its metals and has a large review sample, and, separately, the cheaper mix that still names a steel mandrel. Bullets that disagree with each other pull a card down even when the star line looks strong. The upper band in this folder is the KLRStec box at £19.99 and the INCLY kit at £21.99. The middle is TXXATX at £9.49 and Glarks at £10.99. Entry prices run about £5 to £8. A live snippet can show a different review count. The folder figures stay. A 4.7 is not automatically ahead of a 4.6, and a 5.0 from five reviews is not ahead of 4.6 from hundreds.

Top pick for a mixed box of dome rivets

The top pick is the KLRStec 500-piece dome assortment, B0CBL36FFQ, at £19.99. It is 125 each of 2.4, 3.2, 4.0 and 4.8 mm, open dome, aluminium body and steel mandrel, in a labelled box. Lengths run from 6 mm to 14 mm. The grip claim of about 1–10 mm is the span of the kit, not the grip of every rivet. The review line is 4.6 from 920, the largest sample here. One UK review says the body diameter varies. Another says the length mix is limited. No gun and no washers are included. Take it if you already own noses from 2.4 mm to 4.8 mm. Skip it for one length in the hundreds, a large flange, a countersunk face, or washers. Gutters and car panels on the card are stated uses, not an approval for brakes or structure. Treat “1–10 mm” on the pop rivet grip range page before you drill.

Best value when the next hole is unknown

The best value is the ANVINKU 260-piece assortment, B0FDQH8YC8, at £8.49. It names an aluminium head and a steel mandrel: 80 of 3.2 x 6 mm, 60 of 3.2 x 10 mm, 40 of 4 x 10 mm, 40 of 4 x 12 mm, 20 of 4.8 x 12 mm and 20 of 4.8 x 16 mm. The second numbers are lengths. The head is not stated. The review line is 4.6 from 154. A UK review says the photograph shows more rivets than the counts. You give up a named head, a printed grip and the larger sample. It is best value because the mandrel metal is named and the sample is more than a handful of reviews, not because it is the cheapest line.

Packs to leave on the shelf

INCLY is £21.99 with 4.7 from 614, the highest star line with a large sample. It is still a skip for ordinary dome work. The head is countersunk, and one bullet says stainless rivets while the material line says aluminium plus 304 washers. DMJJSD at £4.99 conflicts the same way: stainless, then an aluminium head and a steel shank, plus “stud earrings”. HAOCHEN at £6.99, 4.6 from 241, has a UK review that the diameters are one step small, so the low price is not the best value. mawmuaw at 5.0 from five reviews is not a quality rank. Glarks at 4.7 from 26 is a smaller sample than 4.6 from 920. songhua lists 20 g for 80 pieces and has no review line. Zynthor has no review line, a black title, and a colour field that says “Sliver”. Black paint and stainless bullets are sorted on the aluminium or stainless pop rivets page.

Common questions

Why not the pack with the highest star rating?
INCLY is 4.7 from 614, higher than 4.6 from 920, and it costs £21.99. The head is countersunk, and a stainless bullet conflicts with an aluminium material line. Stars do not override the head or a listing that disagrees with itself.
Is a 5.0 from five reviews better than 4.6 from hundreds?
No. Five reviews can sit at 5.0 by chance. The mawmuaw line is that pattern. Glarks at 4.7 from 26 is also a smaller sample than KLRStec’s 920. The size of the sample is part of the evidence.
Should I buy the countersunk kit with washers instead?
Only if you need a flush face and you will countersink the hole, and only once you have decided what to do about the stainless-versus-aluminium conflict. Washers help a worn hole. They do not make that kit the top pick for ordinary dome work.
Does the top pick include a grip for every length?
No. Lengths are 6–14 mm, and “about 1–10 mm” is the kit’s overall claim. It is not the grip of each rivet. Measure the stack, including any washer, before you pick a length out of the box.
Which jobs are still out of scope even for the top pick?
No card here is for brakes, steering, lifting points, gas appliances or designed structural steel. The seller’s list of gutters, roofing, car panels and trailers is a stated use, not a structural approval. There is no shear figure to compare.
