Best 230mm diamond cutting disc for the cut you are doing

Updated: 21 October 2026

You want one name, and the star row will not give it to you. The best 230mm diamond cutting disc in this amazon.co.uk set depends on whether you are cutting a few patio slabs, a run of brick and block, or you are paying for a maker’s life claim. Prices run from £8.99 to £84.43. The full rows are on the [230mm diamond cutting disc comparison](/hub/sanders/230mm-diamond-cutting-disc). The Products Compared editorial team compared the saved listings and the review samples on 19 October 2026. We did not run a lab. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

How this shortlist is chosen

Each pick is conditional. Stars are Amazon’s scores, not a cutting test. Review counts are not equal: 4.6 from 263 reviews is weaker evidence than 4.5 from 7,076. The score uses stars, stated fit, price, and the tone of the sampled reviews. One disc leads that score. The cheapest disc in that band is the best value on price. Those labels are not a safety award. EN 13236 appears on PRODIAMANT, Blue Spot, and Tech Traders only. Bore and the thickness-field traps are on the 230mm diamond cutting disc buying guide.

Occasional home cuts

For one patio, the TopsTools TTDS230 at £8.99 is the best value on shelf price. It is segmented, bore 22.23 mm, 4.6 from 263 reviews, with patio work in the sample. Buy it for a few slabs, not tile pavers. One review lost a chunk of rim. Tech Traders at £9.99 states 6,650 rpm, a 2.2 mm cutting width, and EN 13236, with 4.6 from 416 reviews. Praise includes Indian sandstone. A review says teeth flew off within five seconds on a block-paving block. Skip it if that is the first cut. The Bosch universal, part 2608615031, is £11.99 and 4.4 from 74 reviews. The file held five reviews. It is the disc Bosch later compares with the EXPERT life claim, and too small a sample for a week of work.

Steady masonry

For brick, block, and paviors, review volume matters more than saving a few pounds. S&R at £15.49 is 4.6 from 6,401, with a stated 10 mm diamond height and 60 mm block paving in the sample. One review lost the edge within four days, and there is no EN 13236 line. It is the volume pick if the disc sits tight on a 22.2 mm bore. PRODIAMANT at £16.70 is 4.5 from 7,076, with a stated 7 mm segment and an EN 13236 line, including a 50 square metre patio that was still cutting. You are buying evidence and a mark, not the most diamond depth. The hole is 22.23 mm, not M14. Blue Spot’s twin at £15.10 has a review of buckling in lightweight blocks. The OX twin at £29.95 states a 10 mm rim, with short-life complaints in the sample. Bosch PRO part 2608615065 at £25.40 is 4.7 from 5,073 for posts, gravel boards, and slabs. The materials field says metal. Cut masonry, not steel.

Premium lines and the turbo exceptions

The top pick is the Bosch EXPERT, part 2608900663, at £84.43, with 4.8 from 486 reviews. The scope line is 230 x 22.23 x 2.4 x 15 mm. Up to four times longer than part 2608615031 is Bosch’s comparison, not an independent test. Five reviews in the file praise brick, block, and paving. Pay this for repeated brick and slab work. DeWalt DT40260 at £45.89 states 12 mm segments for concrete and masonry, wet or dry, at 4.7 from 152 reviews. The materials field says ceramic and marble, which fights the bullets. It is not a porcelain blade. The OX 15 mm turbo at £15.24 has no review line. Bosch turbo part 2608602397 at £26.99 is listed by Bosch UK as 230 mm with a 10 mm segment, while the Amazon title says small grinders. Only two reviews were in the file. Fitting stays on how to use a 230mm diamond blade.

Common questions

Is a twin pack better value than two singles?
Blue Spot is £15.10 for two, which is less per disc than one S&R at £15.49, with a stated 6,600 rpm and an EN 13236 mention. The OX pair is £29.95 for two stated 10 mm rims. A twin pack helps when the first disc heats or wears on a long patio. It does not help if the failure mode is buckling in lightweight block, which is already in the Blue Spot sample.
Is Bosch EXPERT worth £84?
Only if you will use the 15 mm edge on repeated brick, block, and slab work, and you accept that up to 4x means Bosch’s comparison with part 2608615031. The star line is 4.8 from 486. The file we read held five positive reviews. For one patio, the mid-price discs with thousands of reviews are the more proportionate spend.
Which listings mention EN 13236?
PRODIAMANT, Blue Spot, and Tech Traders. The other nine rows do not state it. A stated mark is worth having. It did not stop a Tech Traders review from describing teeth leaving the rim. Inspect every disc before you fit it.
Which turbo disc is actually for a large grinder?
The OX XLC15-230/22 at £15.24 is sold as a 230 mm turbo-segmented blade with a 15 mm segment, and it has no reviews in the file. Bosch part 2608602397 is 230 mm on the Bosch UK page and in the Amazon highlight, despite a title that says small grinders. Do not put either disc on a 115 mm or 125 mm grinder.
Should I avoid a disc with almost no UK reviews?
Yes, if you are using reviews to judge life or chipping. The OX 15 mm turbo has no review line. The Bosch turbo file held two reviews. The EXPERT file held five, against a public count of 486. A blank sample means we cannot describe UK complaints. It does not mean the disc failed, and it does not mean it succeeded.
