Bosch cordless jigsaw buying guide

Updated: 21 October 2026

You are about to buy one 18 V Bosch jigsaw, and every listing in front of you says 18 V. That label does not tell you whether the pack already on your drill will click on, how deep Bosch says that order number will cut in wood, or whether a battery is even in the carton. This Bosch cordless jigsaw buying guide is the order of those decisions before you open a product page. Shelf prices sit on the [Bosch cordless jigsaw comparison](/hub/power-saws/bosch-cordless-jigsaw). Products Compared checked the amazon.co.uk listings and Bosch’s UK pages on 20 October 2026. Start with the pack, not the star rating

Green saws in this set use 18V POWER FOR ALL. Blue GST bodies use Bosch Professional packs, GBA 18V and ProCORE18V, and AMPShare. Bosch’s AMPShare FAQ says the two systems are not compatible. A green pack stays on EasySaw, UniversalSaw, or AdvancedSaw. A blue or AMPShare pack stays on a GST. Older Professional packs without the logo stay inside that family back to 2008. Eight of the nine rows are bodies, and none of the clean scopes includes a charger. The socket proof sits on Bosch green vs Professional cordless jigsaw.

Wood depth by order number

Use Bosch’s wood figure for the order number, then see whether the listing repeats it. EasySaw order 0603012000 is 70 mm in wood, with no pendulum step. UniversalSaw order 0603011100 is 100 mm, with four pendulum steps. AdvancedSaw 18V-140 is brushless and 140 mm. GST 18V-95 B is 95 mm on Bosch’s UK page. The GST 18V-125 pair is 125 mm: the B is the bow handle, the S is the barrel. A 90 mm stair stringer is already past the EasySaw.

What the box actually contains

The EasySaw scope is one T 144 D blade and a carton. UK reviews say there is no case to buy later. Order 0603011100 adds two T 144 D blades, CutControl, a guard, and a protection shoe. The carton AdvancedSaw adds a dust nozzle. The SystemBox is the only green case, and UK reviews say CutControl did not fit the shoe. The GST 18V-125 S is the only L-BOXX 136. Bosch asks for at least 4.0 Ah on the GST 95 and 125 pair. Worktop settings are on Bosch cordless jigsaw for worktops.

Numbers on the listing that are not the specification

Bosch’s UK stroke rates are 0–2,600 for the EasySaw and the UniversalSaw, 0–3,000 for the AdvancedSaw, 0–3,300 for the GST 18V-95 B, 0–3,500 for the B, and 500–3,500 for the S. An AdvancedSaw line of about 20 m per charge names no amp-hour. The sequence in your hand is on how to use a Bosch cordless jigsaw.

Common questions

Which Bosch cordless jigsaw matches the battery I already own?
A green POWER FOR ALL pack matches the EasySaw, the UniversalSaw rows, and the AdvancedSaw rows in this set. A Bosch Professional pack, including GBA 18V and ProCORE18V, and an AMPShare pack match the GST 18V-95 B and the two GST 18V-125 listings. Bosch states that the families do not fit each other. “I already own Bosch” is not specific enough. Name the colour of the pack before you add a bare body to the basket.
Is a bare body cheaper once I add a pack and a charger?
Only if you already own a matching pack and charger. Eight of these nine amazon.co.uk rows are bodies, and none of the clean scopes includes a charger. The disputed PBA title is the exception, and one UK review says that buyer still bought a battery and a charger. Add those two items before you compare the body with a saw that runs on the day it arrives. Bosch’s own UK shop prices are a different list from the amazon.co.uk shelf.
Does the Amazon Edition 0603011101 have the same 100 mm figure as 0603011100?
No. Bosch publishes 100 mm in wood for UniversalSaw order 0603011100, and that listing’s bullets repeat a 100 mm depth and a four-step pendulum. Order 0603011101, the Amazon Edition, does not print a wood depth in the captured bullets. A description block that appears elsewhere on a live page is not the same as those bullets. If you need the 100 mm figure in writing on the listing you are buying, use 0603011100.
Does the title that names a PBA 18V pack actually include one?
The title and a bullet on B09PZMFP8C join a UniversalSaw 18V-100 to a Home and Garden PBA 18V pack and mention 2.5 Ah. The included-components line says Battery. There is no model number and no charger line. One of three UK reviews says the charger and the battery still had to be bought separately. Treat the pack as unconfirmed. Seven reviews are not the same evidence as a listing with hundreds.
When is the compact GST 18V-95 B enough?
It is the compact blue body, with 95 mm in wood on Bosch’s UK page, four orbital stages, and a 20 mm stroke. It suits curves in timber inside that figure when you already own a Professional or AMPShare pack. It is the wrong saw when the job needs the 125 mm wood figure of the GST 18V-125 pair, or when your packs are green. Bosch recommends 4.0 Ah and above for full performance on this model. The Amazon row does not print that wood depth, so confirm it on the Bosch page.
Which Amazon numbers should I ignore?
Ignore wattage rows, the word rpm as if it were a checked stroke rate, the 18 W line, the 2.4 m dimensions, and any 1 AAAA battery line. Those fields are not corroborated by Bosch’s UK pages for these order numbers. Use Bosch’s wood depth, steel depth, stroke rate, and pendulum description for the model number on the listing. A blade-length field of 125 mm on a GST is not a substitute for the published wood depth.
