Updated: 22 October 2026

The best decoy wasp nest in this amazon.co.uk set is a shell you can describe, with a review file large enough to show how it behaves in weather, at a price in the lower half of the list. It is not a perfect average from one rating, and it is not a count of wasps kept away. The [decoy wasp nest comparison](/hub/pest-control/decoy-wasp-nest) holds the twelve rows, priced on 19 October 2026. Peter F., editor for DIY & tools at productscompared.co.uk, did not hang the shells. Figures are the captured listings. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

What best means here

A 5.0 from one review looks like a winner if you sort by stars. WenYa is 5.0 from one rating, with no UK review text, at about £11.99. Novastream is 5.0 from two. The score adds stars, review sample, shell shape and price band. It is not a repellency test. Plai scores 79, Waspinator and Dzpuhuojz 69, and WenYa 55, because a perfect star block cannot repair a sample of 2. Plai is the top pick on a printed size and the highest price-band block. Dzpuhuojz is the best value: cloth, and a pack count that matches the title. The limit you can quote is on do decoy wasp nests work.

Top pick: Plai B0859XGZFS

Plai’s non-woven four-pack is about £5.99, model 2116, 140 g, 20.3 × 20.3 × 27.9 cm, 3.9 from 881 reviews. Fifty UK reviews were read. Some buyers say roof or shed colonies did not return. One unit lasted about two years. Others describe one British season. A stuffing balloon burst, and wasps flew past a shed set in the first week. One review says European nests are white and cricket-ball sized, so these grey shells did not match. The title says 4 and the pieces field says 1. Dividing £5.99 by four is not an Amazon unit price. The bullets call it a scarecrow. Shape and weather are on the decoy wasp nest buying guide.

Best value cloth, and the long paper file

Dzpuhuojz, B0F3XLMPNG, is cloth if you do not want paper you must stuff: four shells, about £7.99, 22 cm by 28 cm, 4.1 from 72 reviews, score 69. Buyers call it more waterproof than paper. One cites a quiet week, another a year without nests, and the same file has wasps on the shells. Bullets say waterproof. One buyer cites a humidity warning. The title says wasp trap nests. It is a hanging cloth shell. Waspinator is about £9.99 for two paper shells, 3.9 from 5,327 reviews, score 69. You fill them with plastic bags. Reviews say the paper fails after a year or two, and a 2015 clip broke within about 12 weeks. The 12 metre line stays a bullet.

Leave these off the shortlist

WenYa’s six framed shells, 28 cm when open, about £11.99, have no UK review text. A frame you have not seen through a British winter is a description. Pest strike at about £4.99 is 2.3 from 25 reviews: frameless bags, and a yellow jacket and bee trap title. Leave it away from bees. V·Colokishi at about £3.99 is thin paper the listing says to keep dry, and reviews describe tears on the wire. Mooshy is about £4.99 for six, with a frame in the bullets and no review line. A missing rating is not a quiet five stars. If wasps are on food, or you can see a nest, read decoy wasp nest vs wasp trap.

Common questions

Which decoy is the top pick in this set, and why is that not a wasp count?
Plai B0859XGZFS, the non-woven four-pack at about £5.99, 20.3 × 20.3 × 27.9 cm, 3.9 from 881 reviews, score 79. The blocks are stars, sample, shell and price. Buyer lines about sheds and a two-year shell are in the file, and so are wasps that flew past. The score does not convert those lines into a count of wasps kept away.
Why is Dzpuhuojz the best value if Plai costs less?
Plai is the top pick on the higher total, 79, at about £5.99 with 881 reviews, and its pieces field says 1 while the title says four. Dzpuhuojz is the best value: cloth, 22 cm by 28 cm, about £7.99, 4.1 from 72 reviews, and a four-pack whose unit count matches the title. Both badges rank shell, sample and price. Neither is a deterrence claim.
Is Waspinator the better buy because it has 5,327 reviews?
It is the better document if you want durability complaints at scale. The score is 69, with the best sample block and a weaker shell block, at about £9.99 for paper you fill with plastic bags. Plai’s 881 reviews are fewer and still large, on a printed height at about £5.99. More reviews make Waspinator the reference file. They do not make it the top pick.
Which cheap packs fail the shape test?
Pest strike’s reviews call the £4.99 pair empty bags. V·Colokishi’s £3.99 paper tears on the wire and is listed as a keep-dry shell. Mooshy’s £4.99 six-pack has no reviews, so it cannot pass a shape test the buyers have not written. Novastream’s 5.0 from two reviews does not repair a missing frame.
What must this page not say about the top pick?
It must not say Plai keeps wasps away, covers a radius, or is scientifically proven. It must not treat 5.0 from one review as a defeat of 3.9 from 881. It must not call £5.99 divided by four an Amazon unit price. The top pick is the shell, sample and price winner inside this set, on the 19 October 2026 capture.
