Best LED work light UK

Updated: 16 October 2026

You want one lamp for a job you can name, and this amazon.co.uk set offers three different winners: the most stars, the lowest price, and the largest lumen claim. The best LED work light UK, from these eleven listings, is whichever of those matches the job, with a reason to skip the others. Prices and stars are the files of 15 October 2026, not a lab. The table is the [work light comparison](/hub/occupational-safety/work-light). The Products Compared editorial team did not measure the beams. Three scores, three different lamps

The DeWalt DCL050-XJ is the top pick on the star rule: 4.8 from 3,306 reviews, at about £38.67, the highest rating among kept listings with at least 100 reviews. The bullets say 250–500 lumens and up to 10 hours, and the battery is not in the box. That score is not a brightness award. The Coquimbo pair is the best value on the price rule: about £9.98, 4.4 from 5,589 reviews, the lowest price at 4.3 or above with at least 100 reviews. It is two magnetic lamps at 3.7 V, with no lumens and no IP code stated. It is a wheel-arch pair, not a site flood and not a substitute for the DeWalt. The wowspeed claims 30000 lumens at about £64.99, on 4.0 from 67 reviews. Two of five UK reviews describe arcing or a buzzing plug, which is why that claim is not a recommendation.

A socket, a pocket, or a battery you own

If the plate matches a UK socket, the mains options are the T-SUN at about £22.34, with 5400 lumens on the title and 110 V in the specification, and the Bellanny at about £42.99, with 20000 lumens claimed, IP66 and a 3 m lead. Reviews describe a UK plug on both, the Bellanny title says 200 W against a 100 W specification, and one review reports flicker that strobes a power tool. The DeWalt is the top pick only with an 18 V pack you own. Criteria before names are in the buying guide.

Do not treat copied reviews as a second test

The WL013 at about £33.99 and the ST68-OG at about £36.54 both show 4.5 from 2,073, and the stored review text matches. Count it once. The WL013 specification says 20 W, 3000 lumens, IP65 and 4400 mAh, while the title says 30 W, and some reviews say the charge cable did not arrive. The ST68-OG says 50 W and 5000 lumens, with 8400 mAh in a bullet and a tripod mount that is not in the box. Adding the star lines would double one sample. Read the WL013 on its own specification if you want one multi-head battery light. Take the ST68-OG only if you want the higher claimed milliamp-hour line, still without separate reviews. Neither is a mains flood for an all-day bay. The supply split is on the rechargeable or mains work light page.

Who should skip the tripod listing

The wowspeed is the only tripod in this set: about 60–150 cm, 300 W, 30000 lumens, IP66 and a 3 m cable, at 4.53 kg and about £64.99. Two of five UK reviews describe arcing or a buzzing plug. Trade tripods elsewhere, around 1.5 m or about 80–176 cm, are not these ASINs, and they do not cancel those reviews. While they stand, do not plug this lamp in. If you need light above the work, use a stand whose plate matches the socket, which is the work light for a garage page.

Common questions

Which work light is best for a garage?
For a garage with a 13 A socket, use a mains stand or dual-head flood whose plate matches that socket. In this set that is the T-SUN at about £22.34 or the Bellanny at about £42.99, after you read the 110 V and 220 V lines. The highest stars are a bare 18 V head, and the 30000 lumen claim is the tripod with arcing reports. A magnetic bar is a second lamp for the wing, not the whole bay.
Is the DeWalt the brightest because it has the most stars?
No. It is the top pick because 4.8 from 3,306 is the highest rating here with at least 100 reviews. The bullets say 250–500 lumens. The T-SUN title says 5400 and the Bellanny field says 20000, which are claims, not a test we ran. The battery is not in the about £38.67 price. A large review count does not move the beam.
Is the cheapest pair good enough?
The Coquimbo pair is good enough for close inspection, at about £9.98 and 4.4 from 5,589 reviews, which is why it is the best value. It is not a bay light: lumens and an IP code are absent. Reviews include a lamp that would not charge, and a later report that only the tip light worked. The included line says two torches, and another field says one light.
Why do two SYLSTAR lights share a rating?
The WL013 and the ST68-OG both show 4.5 from 2,073, and the stored review text is the same. Treat it as one sample. The boxes still differ: 20 W and 4400 mAh on the WL013 specification, against 50 W and a claimed 8400 mAh on the ST68-OG. A shared star line does not confirm the higher lumen claim. Compare the specification, not the review count twice.
What should I buy if I already own 18 V batteries?
The DeWalt DCL050-XJ bare head, at about £38.67, if your pack is the 18 V system the listing names. You get the hook and a nine-position head, with bullets at 250–500 lumens and up to 10 hours, and no pack size stated. You are not buying a battery or a charger. A pack of a different voltage does not make this the right head.
