Einhell strimmer battery life

Updated: October 2026

Up to 40 minutes, up to 55 minutes, and a table from 32 minutes to 84 minutes are being pasted onto every Einhell cordless grass trimmer as if they were one fact. They are not. Einhell strimmer battery life belongs to a pack size and a job, and a solo price is not a working tool. This page stays with the ten amazon.co.uk listings in the [Einhell cordless grass trimmer comparison](/hub/lawn-and-garden-equipment/einhell-cordless-grass-trimmer), from 19 October 2026. The Products Compared editorial team did not time a charge. Links to Amazon can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

What is in the box

Seven listings are bodies only, from about £32.56 to the about £94.95 36 V body. Each price stops at the tool. Three listings are kits. About £51.54 names a 2.0 Ah Power X-Change battery and a fast charger. About £68.99 names a battery and a fast charger and does not print the amp-hours. About £79.95 names a 2.5 Ah battery and a charger. The gap is a printed capacity and a stated head, not a vague longer life. If you already own a pack, the about £39.95 solo is the closer sum, which the best Einhell cordless strimmer page separates from a first purchase. A retailer has claimed up to 55 minutes on a 2.0 Ah pack for article 3411197. That Amazon page does not print the capacity.

One battery or two

Every 18 V tool here uses one Power X-Change pack. Twin-Pack is two of those batteries, fitted together, for selected 36 V tools. A mower pack can run an 18 V trimmer alone. The same pack, alone, does not run the 36 V trimmer. Article 3411300 asks for two batteries and does not supply them. Amazon was about £94.95 and Einhell's shop was about £113.95. Use Amazon, then add two batteries and a charger. One UK review of more than an hour used two 4.0 Ah packs. That is one report about a pair.

What battery life can mean

The only manufacturer minute-count to repeat with a name on it is Einhell UK's about 40 minutes for the GE-CT 18 Li-Solo on a 2.0 Ah pack. In this table that is the about £48.43 solo, article 3411172. It is not the runtime of the about £51.54 kit, the 36 V tool, or the about £59.99 GE-CT 18/25-1. Article 3411255 prints knife runtimes from 32 minutes on 1.5 Ah to 84 minutes on 4.0 Ah. That article is not in this set. Do not quote up to 84 minutes against these listings. Reviews here run from about 15 minutes to about an hour. A 4.0 Ah pack should outlast a 2.0 Ah pack on the same 18 V body, as a rule of thumb about capacity, not as a minute count.

If the pack fails

A pack that dies early is a quality question, not a trimming technique. The Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 9, says goods must be of satisfactory quality. The route is the amazon.co.uk seller. Some listings print two years plus an extra year if you register. The about £64.98 line body, the about £59.99 dual-cutter solo and the about £79.95 kit had no warranty line in the fields we read. Where Einhell offers the extra year, it asks you to register the tool and the battery within 30 days. That does not replace the 2015 Act. The battery cell on the about £48.43 solo says lithium polymer while the bullets name Power X-Change. A minute claim from article 3411255 will not help a seller message.

Common questions

Which of these listings include a battery?
Three. About £51.54 includes a 2.0 Ah pack and a fast charger. About £68.99 includes a battery and a fast charger, with no amp-hours printed. About £79.95 includes a 2.5 Ah pack and a charger. The other seven, from about £32.56 to the about £94.95 36 V body, are solos. A solo runs only when the pack and the charger are already yours.
What amp-hours are actually printed?
2.0 Ah on the about £51.54 kit, and 2.5 Ah on the about £79.95 kit. The about £68.99 kit includes a battery and does not print a capacity. No solo prints a pack size, because no solo includes one. Do not fill the gap with a retailer's 55-minute line or with the 1.5 Ah to 4.0 Ah table from article 3411255.
How long should I expect a charge to last?
Only where a source names the model and the pack. Einhell UK says about 40 minutes for the GE-CT 18 Li-Solo on 2.0 Ah. Reviewers here mention about 15 minutes to about an hour. Which?'s under-20-minute remark is about weak cordless packs in general, not these ASINs. Thick grass shortens the session. A larger pack on the same 18 V body is the usual way to buy time, and these listings do not print a minute table for that step.
I own a 4.0 Ah pack from the mower. Does a solo use it?
An 18 V Power X-Change pack is the family Einhell describes for the 18 V tools, one at a time. A 4.0 Ah mower pack fits that description, so pair it with an 18 V solo. This page has no separate test of every capacity. It does have a hard stop on the 36 V tool: one 4.0 Ah pack is half of what that listing requires. Buy a second pack, or stay on 18 V.
What if the battery dies inside a year?
Speak to the amazon.co.uk seller under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 9, and keep the dates. Where the listing printed two years plus an extra year on registration, Einhell asks you to register the tool and the battery within 30 days for that extra year. Three listings here had no warranty sentence in the fields we read. A dead pack is not explained by a runtime taken from a different article number.
