Cordless leaf blower buying guide

Updated: October 2026

You are choosing among twelve amazon.co.uk listings, and the titles do not share one unit. This cordless leaf blower buying guide is the order of decisions for that 22 October 2026 capture. It is not a lab test and it is not a star ranking. You should finish knowing whether you want a closed kit, a bare 18 V body, or the one blower-vacuum, and which figure to ignore when the same page contradicts itself. Prices are the captured shelf prices in GBP. A purchase through our links can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Start with the battery you will still own next year

The pack comes before the number in the title. A closed kit will not run a Ryobi or Bosch tool you already own. In this capture that runs from the POSENPRO PGCB20 at about £33.99 to the Glowica kit at about £89.99. A bare tool is the other purchase. The Ryobi OBL1820S at about £57.67 and the Bosch UniversalLeafBlower 18V-130 at about £49.93 ship without a battery and without a charger. Greenworks is a third case. The GD24X2BVK4X at about £149.99 includes two 24 V 4 Ah packs, and both must be fitted. Those packs fit other Greenworks 24 V tools, not ONE+. Body-only versus two-battery detail is on the leaf blower kit versus bare tool page.

Read air speed and air volume as a pair

Air speed is how fast the jet leaves the nozzle. Air volume is how much air moves. A narrow fast jet can peel paving and still fail on a wide mat. Keep the units as printed. 150 mph is roughly 241 km/h, not 150 km/h. DEKOPRO prints 169 MPH in the title and 169 km/h in a bullet. Those cannot both be the measured speed. MTKOALA prints up to 450 CFM in a bullet and 700 CFM in an attribute. Keep both lines. Ryobi's 278 cm³/min attribute sits beside 245 km/h and is not a credible airflow. None of that is a wet-leaf promise.

Runtime, weight, and the UK plug

Low-speed minutes are not the time you get on the setting that moves the leaves. POSENPRO's bullets say about 40 minutes on low and about 15 on high, and reviews mention about 15–20 minutes on full power. Glowica's bullet says up to 120 minutes on low, while a review puts high at about 20 minutes. Other UK guides treat a 2 Ah pack as a short hard session. That is their rule of thumb, not a stopwatch on these ASINs. Bosch lists 1.3 kg and Ryobi 1.6 kg as bare bodies, so the pack is extra. Greenworks lists 6.43 kg. Glowica lists 3.88 kg and a 2.4 kg line. POSENPRO lists 2.25 kg and a 1.6 kg body. Use the higher figure until you weigh it. Domestic plugs are BS 1363. An MTKOALA review reports a two-pin charger, and 2026 Greenworks reviews report an EU plug. A part suffix of -UK is not a pin pattern.

Noise marks and neighbour complaints

An Amazon decibel line is not the legal noise mark unless the listing says so. The 2001 outdoor-equipment noise regulations put leaf blowers on the noise-marking-only list. Bosch prints 94 dB and Ryobi 78 dB, among figures that do not share a method, so they are not a quietness ranking. HSE INDG362 gives employers action values of 80 and 85 dB(A). A householder is not that employer. Reviews still mention a whine and ear plugs. In England the Environmental Protection Act 1990 can treat noise as a statutory nuisance when it unreasonably interferes with a home, and the council then serves an abatement notice. These sources set no national clock. Check your own council in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland as well. A conditional shortlist is the best cordless leaf blower page.

Common questions

Should I buy the battery platform or the blower first?
Buy the platform first if you already own Ryobi ONE+ or Bosch 18 V packs, because the bare blower is then the smaller extra cost. If you own no packs, buy a closed kit and accept that those batteries stay with that brand. A 21 V pack in this capture is not described as fitting a trimmer you already own.
Is 150 mph the same as 150 km/h?
No. 150 mph is roughly 241 km/h. DEKOPRO prints 169 MPH in the title and 169 km/h in a bullet, so that page has not chosen one unit. Treat the two lines as a conflict, not as one speed written twice.
What is the difference between air speed and CFM?
Air speed is the jet's velocity. CFM is a volume of air. A fast narrow jet and a wider stream do different jobs on paving and on a lawn. Where MTKOALA prints both 450 CFM and 700 CFM, keep both figures and do not promote the larger one.
Do I need two batteries?
You need a second pack when the first dies before the patio is clear. High-setting reviews here often sit around 15–30 minutes. A kit with two packs covers that inside one brand. If you already own several ONE+ or Bosch packs, the bare tool can swap those instead.
Does the charger include a UK three-pin plug?
Only if the listing or a UK review shows a BS 1363 plug. MTKOALA has a two-pin charger in a review, and Greenworks has 2026 reviews of an EU plug. A -UK suffix on a part number is not that proof. Check the charger photo on the amazon.co.uk page.
